I really, really, really, really love that you brought Anderson into this. His evolution has been fantastic. By the end of the OVAs, I really quite liked him. He was a good man, and I enjoyed him. It's great to see him in this, his shaken faith, his slowly coming along friendship with Seras. Also his iteractions with Alucard are great. I love their antagonistic snips at each other. It's a good dynamic.
I also love the detail in the story. Seras's feelings are wonderfully done. And the slow build of her relationship with Alucard just gives me so many emotions.

i'm terrible with reviews, i accept it. just wanted to say, this is an excelent story. i'll be frank, keep up the occasional "love" scenes, and i'll read on literally forever. do you draw art? i'd love to see a rendition of seras animal form. :)

I found it :)
I'm going to start reading right after this. It was pretty late last night when I found this, so I just skimmed a bit, before opening it up again today.
I usually avoid WIPs, particularly long ones, but I want to read this quite badly. You have both my OTPs in this, and I've never had that before. So again, thank you.
Would you ever consider another side fic, but maybe doing Integra and Watler's first time? Virgin!Integra/Old!Walter, is something that I would love.
I also see that this fic hasn't been updated since 2009. Is the story on an indefinite hiatus? Thank you what is already here though. There are 60+ chapter for me to enjoy!

I really loved this part:
"“Men never change,” he muttered in a dangerous voice. “Like wolves, they challenge the Alpha constantly.”"
It's quite a hot image, and there is no one more Alpha male than Alucard.
I love the build up of Alucard and Seras's relationship. The pacing is great, and there is so much UST between them! And teasing!
I also enjoy whatever is going on with Seras, with her beating heart and heat and what all of it's going to mean.
I also liked Seras and Integra shopping a few chapters back, and Integra telling Seras than Walter is basically a Viking in the sack ;)

I think this is either the third or fourth time I've read this story start to finish. That is about a fourth of how many times I've hoped from chapter to chapter, hunting for that one scene or that line. No matter how many times I read it, this literary piece always reminds me of why I came back. It's wonderfully well written with a strong, continuous plot. I never feel that you are just including a scene for the sake of length. So many budding authors will, and it just ruins the affect. It also has some of the best characterization I've seen with these characters. They are all so close to the original, yet they bend and form to the situation at your command. It is a truly awesome display.
I've always loved Seras, and I love your portrayal of her in this work. The way she coexists with Alucard and thinks over the issues is one of the best things in this story. I also enjoyed the way you shaped Walter to fit your purposes. It was done at just the right pace so that you didn't bore us, nor lose us on your way to planet X. Also, Anderson is a stupendous supporting character in this. His transformation is so very intriguing to read about and his internal metamorphosis is a constant reminder of the challenges that changing warrant.
I must admit that I hate the idea of Seras being bound. I wouldn't get annoyed at you, but I would feel that she is turning her back on all that Alucard taught her about free will. I kind of feel that you are getting her away from the idea, but that could just be wishful reading. I like how she is slowly coming out of this state of dependence to understand co-dependence. Also, I really really really really really want to know what's going on with Walter. It's driving me crazy!
In conclusion, I must say that I hope you update soon and that you enjoy writing it as much as I promise to enjoy reading it. Even if you make Seras a slave. I'll enjoy it but be unhappy. Where ever you are, I hope that your life is going well and you are exercising you writing talents. If all is not well, then remember that the most beautiful rose has the deadliest thorns.
With that, I bid you Adieu.

I Looove this story!! Very few fanfics explore the man behind the monster. Alucard/Vlad is what people have made him and I thank you for doing your research in this. Oh...and for not killing Walter! (He. Is. Gorgeous.)

This story is so good. I first read it a few years ago, then loved it, saved it, and I've read through it again like a loved book. I know it's been years, but I really want to see how this story ends.

Oh for the love of all that is holy, please write more! I started reading this from the beginning a couple days ago and only just got to chapter 64 and AAAAA WALTERRRR. Cliff-hanging goodness! I'm really in love with the ever-evolving relationship between Seras and Alucard. You always keep it fresh and interesting and believable. And your writing is very very good (which honestly is hard to find around here). Please keep going. <3 I'll always read with great gusto.

I've just spent the last day/night absolutely devouring all sixty-four chapters of this amazing, riveting tale. It's the ambrosia of all Hellsing fanfiction and honestly, I don't feel the need to write for Hellsing anymore because this masterpiece has everything I crave. It's powerful, it's beautiful, it keeps you guessing, and you can't fathom how deeply I love this.
I love what you've done to Walter and Anderson. Amazing development (personally, I was never a fan of Integra x Walter in spite of being an Alucard x Seras shipper) but the way you wrote it... perfect. And Anderson? I LOVE how you handled his gradual transformation without stripping him of his core characteristics. It was believable and funny and wonderful. Walter was his brilliant self and what you did with him was pure genius! Absolutely fucking insane and awesome in every way.
I adore Alucard in the story - in all of his forms, however it may vary from the manga, it's still perfect.
And Seras...
I fucking LOVE Seras in this story. She's the Seras we all know, she's got that submissive nature that's so prevalent in the beginning... but then you flip the switch and you see the duality in her, the duality inherent in all women. She's dominating and submissive, powerful and riddled with weakness, beautiful and flawed. I love the little changes (I've always hated how Hirano drew her hair - I don't mind short, but it's all... weird) and the strange, but definitely interesting switch over to the "goth/lolita" look she's got going on now. Of others, I'd accuse them of incorporating a MarySue, or bastardizing a character but this? No, in this story, it is perfect.
In short, this was a riveting tale I'll probably re-read many times over, simply to bask in its magnificence. Even if you never update, I'll still love it.
Thank you for bringing this slice of apple pie into my life.

Goodness, so much time can pass in between one read-through and the next, but I always, always come back to this story! I love it. Your word choice is superb; your character voices are perfect (especially Anderson and Alucard, I think). You're an incredibly gifted storyteller, for certain. There is very little to dislike about any of it and that's wonderful. I don't know if you have any more plans for this piece, but I wanted you to know that you have at least one regular visitor who (time and again) deeply appreciates all of the work you've already put in. Thank you very much for making and leaving this story available; it is sincerely appreciated!
