I love this story! I've just stayed up til 4am to finish what's posted so far, and its really good. I am usually pretty iffy about AU/AV stories, as many fanfic authors just don't have the chops to pull it off convincingly. I am quite pleased to say yours is high quality, even if the plot (and perhaps some of the characterization) are (or become) radically divergent from canon. Your wordsmithing is of sufficient caliber that the changes flow naturally and believably within the story. And I _really_ enjoyed the characters' evolutions. Your re-telling is like the shoujo version of the story- more about the personal/inner drama rather than the uber-action/external drama of the shonen original. It's nice to see behind the complex personas glimpsed in the original- and to see Seras do some real growing up. I mean, drinking Pip's blood was a big step for her, but your story really lets her shine. Finally, she is seen/shown as more than just a big-breasted child. And Alucard gets a taste of his own medicine! Always good fun. ;o) So good job, Author! Keep up the excellent work, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
P.S.- You have the chops to go pro if you want, IMHO. I am an avid reader, have been ever since I got a working grasp on phonetics, and I've paid for books that made me question the publisher's/editor's sanity. If I'd had to pay to read this story, it would've been money well spent.

I have no idea when the last chapter was updated but keep up the work. I love this story. Its hard to find good stories in hellsing at least at fanfiction.net. Usually all i find is undeveloped plots or bad writing. So I really enjoyed how seras has become kind of her own person but at the same time struggling with the same problems when she didn't drink from alucard. Alucard, love seeing his "changed" perspective. Anderson, i hate that guy in general. But this fanfic, makes me love him a little. The boss lady and angel of death, what a pairing. Poor walter, when were they able to chip him?

This story has evoked thoughts and feelings within me completely and wholly unrelated to Hellsing or even anime. I read all this lovely piece of writing has to offer in the span of two days and my craving for more grows. The character development, the plotline, even the sexual tension is perfect. I "cannae" wait for more, love.

I anxiously await the next chapters! It has been quite some time since I've been up until 3am on a weeknight reading. I absolutely love what you've done with the characters - especially Seras. Keep up the wonderful work!

I am very glad to have found your story. I was fortunate to be able to read all chapters in 2 days and I must tell you that I am delighted. You are such a gifted author. I sincerely hope that you will continue this wonderful story and update soon.

Alright, review time. As always, I'll do the bad first, then the good.

The bad: It's not really bad, like bad formatting, grammar, characterization. One could fault the last, but you explained you wish to explore a different version of Alucard, which is fine and well-appreciated, so it's fine. My issue is mostly a matter of taste and retaining the feel of the series. I don't mind stories taking a better, happier turn and such, but I felt that both Walter's becoming younger /and/ a regenerator, plus Anderson's capture and slow conversion was a bit much to swallow in the story.

They were nicely done, but I felt that Walter, an already powerful character, becoming younger *which is fine), but also a Regenerator kinda distanced me from him a bit, he's super powerful now, if one thinks about it. However, I could handle that, but Anderson is the real one that I felt not so great about. The conversion I grew to like, due to your handling of it (slow and taking lots of effort), but I felt the ease of his capture degrades the character a bit. He was a powerful opponent to Alucard, and though I know this is Animeverse, he still had a powerful presence there and was an equal to Alucard. His defrocking causing him to be so easily dominated, battle of wills or no, sort of draws a bit away from his character.

It's mostly a taste issue, as I said, and they were well done in their execution. I cannot stress that enough.

Now, for the good, which I have already touched upon it seems.

I'll admit it; this is one of the best stories I have read in some time, and one of the best Hellsing ones to boot. This was one of my first ones to read and I enjoyed every minute of it, my earlier reservations nonwithstanding. The characters, different interpretation or not, are great and well done. The relationship between Alucard and Sera is deep, multi-layered and complex, and your slow introduction of a plot beyond the romance of someone trying to kill Sera Victoria for some reason has me wanting more.

Your usage of Dracula brought a smile to my face and Sera's interpretation was a great usage of the source material. You have also done well using supernatural elements, such as the Neo-Thelema encounters, and generally bringing everything together seamlessly. I am only saddened that you have not updated for some time, and I hope it is not a reviewing issue. I hope you return soon and continue this story; it is simply too good to leave drifting unfinished like this.

This is such a great story, I love it! Looking forward to seeing what happens next :)

Love the story thus far. Can't tell you how hard it is to find a descent Helsing story, especially a A/S. Great job can't wait to see where it goes.
