Not really a review but I just wanted to tell you that I can smell the scent wafting out of the oven where chapter 7's baking--and it's hella sweet. I can hardly wait to sink my teeth into it.

Great chapter, like always. You wouldn't believe how happy I was for the update and because there wasn't just one but two chapters! I felt wonderful while reading.

I loved Suzaku and Lelouch's interactions, especially everytime they kissed. It gives the feeling that the should totally be together.

Hope to see the next part soon, because of what you said, it seems it's going to be fantastic.

I was pretty excited when I learned you were writing a CG fanfic, because I'd really liked your "Life Before Life After" and "Slow Reunion" from Naruto. :) And as I expected, I've been enjoying this fic immensely. I love the way you seamlessly incorporate the original canon elements into your story. The way the story setting parallels the original canon without losing its own context is breathtaking. It just WORKS SO WELL.

And I especially love your Kallen. Okay, I confess, I favor your Kallen over the canon Kallen. (Canon Kallen used to bother the hell out of me because hey, it's kind of rare when female characters REALLY kick ass the way she does in a heavily-male casting. Did they HAVE to make her the stereotypical "brawn over brains" character? T__T) And I'm in love with your Suzaku. And Gino. And the whole set. :DDDD

I'm really looking forward to the rest. Lovely job~!

This is just absolutely amazing. No joke. I try to find stories like this on AFF and rarely do I come across them anymore. I did have to go back a couple times and re-read some parts, but the plot is...just that good. I'm hooked on this story. I can't wait to see what Lelouch will do next. I really can't. Please keep writing. ^_^

this is great. i love it. i have no note-worthy complaints. the only complaint i have is i have to wait for the next update. thank you for a long chapter and i hope you take the same care with the rest of the story and not grow tired of it in the long run because that usually ruins a great story which this is.

"This chapter was incredibly difficult to write..."
But please know that it has paid of handsomely because you have me, as a reader, go through what Lelouch has gone through, suffer what he has suffered.

"...and I expect it will be somewhat of a challenge to read."
Yes, but it was by no means a pain. In fact, it increases the pleasure.

Hey, it's me. After reading the fourth chapter, I was completely blown away and couldn't help reviewing again. It is--powerful is the only word I can think of. I'd say I can't imagine what Lelouch must be going through but you practically put me in his shoes with your writing so I can't say that anymore. I actually found myself with tears in my eyes in that one scene where you had him at the beginning stages of breaking down, empathizing with the poor bastard. And by the end of the chapter, I found myself thinking, "Damn. That's some amazing story-crafting skill you've got there. With the writing ability to back it up." This story is one hell of a story (and it isn't even finished yet), written by one hell of a writer. You can be rest assured that I'll be checking back for the next chapter every opportunity I get.

I am breathless waiting for more of this story! I was enjoying it before, but this latest chapter is is huge. I think what you're doing with Lelouch is 100% justified and makes perfect sense - from his reaction to the big reveal to his slow reassembling of himself to his shattering when he sees what they've done to his office - and the scene where he and Gino punish the plant is just tense and rattling and wonderful.

(I also love what you've done with Gino, like seriously love, it surprised me and delighted me, but as a Gino/Kallen OTPer I am also sad.)

I will check back every day until you write more. :|

I had to read chapter 4 twice in order to come up with a coherent review (meaning that I loved it to bits, typos aside). It is understandable why Lelouch reacted the way he did after a part of him was taken away--that boy is possessive and defensive as hell. I like it that you have more than one angle besides the serial killer case worked into the flow of the fic. While I can see Lelouch getting on the warpath because of Schneizel, I wonder how the rest of the family going to take his defection. *patiently waiting for the next part*
