Coffee my Lady?

Action packed is putting it mildly, as so many things were going on at one time.

But poor Raoul & Yui, do you realize they are the only awakened couple that have not had a 'moment'. .. I know . . .I know. . .you can say Erin and Kai didn't have a moment either, but as you've said this is yaoi, so their moment would essentially have been that kiss in the mind's eye (very romantic mind you and much appreciated :) )

So I would anticipate a Very big moment when those two do get together in real life. . . one that is not only full of joyful smexing, but alot of verbiage to cover who they are, where they are in time, and what the future holds for them . . quite a tall order eh?

As to Yui's actually awakening, well it was more heartbreaking as he took on a man's job when still a child. The only confusion I have though is when he rescued the child Amanda, was he using a laser pistol or was that his inner power? Because when I first read it, I thought inner power and yet later on he is shooting laser pistols. Unless this was done as habit similar to Omi and gang to make sure Elders weren't able to hone in on their energies to find them.

Reason for that. . . there is a battle coming and children need to be protected. I can't see Erin not diving in even from a distance, and Yui would be close behind. Especially since he is under the misconception that he failed Raoul, by not protecting the children. He really was so young and it comes across in that scene. He was young, insecure and involved with a mature Elite, who must have seen like the sun and moon to him (and still does ::big grin:: ). He hadn't even become a 'lord', it is no wonder Raoul would have named him a Sentinel Elite in name only. It would have given Yui a sense of 'identity and maturity' for lack of better words. But came with the price that he felt he failed his lover by not being up to snuff. . .

Getting away from Yui. . (more coffee? scone?) I reckon there are 2 more awakenings that need to take place. Of course Lady Yuri's much anticipated one, but at the moment poor Heiku is really out of it. . . is the battle of Yasuo going to get his brain in gear?

Elder Theo is an amazing addition to the group, and really stood his ground saving Yui in the mind's eye while being beaten in real life. Although I can't see him leaving his planet to live on Amoi, I do hope he is not a casualty of war, as besides being a nice person, empaths are needed

Riki and Iason. . . curse those collars that stop their powers. . . unless Riki has enough sense to 'play dead'. . and that is why Iason couldn't pick up on him. Forgetting his Prince personality, he is still Riki the Dark and still has his street smarts. . . it would be nice to see them come into play in the coming battle. I would think all his skills past and present would be needed here.

So an end to another coffee session. . .and now a 2 week wait (damn) till the next update. Once again an amazing chapter, with plenty of emotion, action, and questions for this person to ponder till next time.

wow, just wow!! What can I say to that chappie.*smiles*

OMG!!! For a moment i actually thought Yui will wake up in theis chapter!!! T-T To bad he didn't...but at the same time i'm relived, cause that's the awakening i most likely DON'T want to see...or read about...
Anyway, each time i'm liking more and more Elder Theo (you see, i remember the name!!). He is just NOT an elder (i'm taking about the crazy ones), from his clothes to his behavior and feelings. Maybe because he is emphatic so he actually understant peoples feeling he is like that; no matter what i really like him.
I'm guessing the "final battle" is going to be one a hell out of a bettle, specially because not only they are going to fight, but (i'm guessing again) the people from Yasuo also will be, and aparently even their women can kick some asses...taht will be great!!!
i don't know what else to write, only that: PLEASE continue soon!! The next chapter is going to be epic!!!!!!!

Well this long awaited chapter really had to be read slowly to understand the full gist of what was going on. As a plot mover, it really pushed everything into full throttle.

As to the people involved. . .

You really do have to love Lady Erin don't you? Here she is just awakened, and the first time she saw a current Elder, just about fell to pieces, and here she is not only accepting the help of the modern day Arista ones easily, but goes off to confront a 'strange' one that catchers her attention, while everyone else is centered on Yui. And g-d help Elder Theo if she's not happy with his answer. As I said, she is a delight and I truly love her.

Now, poor Yui. . . well Iason's advise came a bit late in the piece didn't it? The poor boy.. .he really would have been just a child when the War broke out and he would have seen slaughters, not battles. No wonder he collapsed screaming at those memories. In a way I'm glad that we are only quickly hearing about them, rather than seeing them directly like we did with the other awakenings. Yui's reactions and Erins' brief discriptions to the others are enough to let us know that what ever happened has shook these battle hard men to the core. Our imaginations can shock us more than any intense details can.

The question now is, will we get to see a bit more of Yui's adult years and his death or will these only be touched upon before he goes for his swim to the present day?

And of course, what will he be like when awakened? How does he cope with all that he has just seen and reconcile it with his present. (between you and me, it wouldn't surprise me if he turns out to be a latent empath as well. . . .it seems somehow to be a Warrior trait to a certain regard and Yui always has seemed to be able to read people very well. . .a very good trait for a furniture to have, which is why he was probably so successful as one :) )

As to Raoul and Kai. . . yes I know (sips her coffee) but that little scene where Raoul rests his head on Yui's in a mode of comfort, which he did many many chapters ago to Kai and that Kai upon seeing this, remembers the gesture as well makes me feel, that somewhere along the line, there should be some 'closure' between these two and the past that they shared. Not as 'massive' as the one in the first book, where Riki just about blue Raoul to pieces, but a more gentler brief moment.

If I can be so bold. . . at the next Lord's Dance ( there will be one won't there?) Raoul and Kai go off for a quiet chat, and as Yui looks on Raiman just walk over and says something like, it's just two old friends, coming to terms with the present. And then each shortly returns at peace to his lovers arms.. . .

Sorry if I've overstepped any bounds, but sometimes stray thoughts can spark other thoughts as well.

Well, I guess the coffee has been finished for another day. . . .hope our next meeting is soon, as the poor boys have really been left on a cliff hanger this time around, and my nerves are very frayed :)

This was a very good chappie, I liked it very much, I am really happy that they have all been found and soon they will return home.*smiles*

Whoops. .. in all my ramblings I forgot one thing. . .Your portrayal of Omaki and Yousi have given them a new depth and personality as the story develops. Yousi has a shyness and a loving heart that is becomes more apparent in each chapter. And Omi, although still a devil, has a depth that truly came across in the scene in the previous chapter where he tells Raoul that Yui has to tuck the children in and still watch over them. . . Who would have thought that the 'comic' had such depth of feeling.. . .

When characters grow like that, it truly makes a story worth the read :)

Great a new chapter!!! I cry a lot in this one...well i actually cry a lot in ALL of your chapters, but that's good, isn't? It mean your write call get to the hearth of your readers and...i'm just talking sh%&$)!!! Anyway, nice chapter. I love the fact the FINALLY made it to the planet and the girls...of course the other two nut also made it to the crazy Elders, but that make the history more and more interesting.
So, will Yui awake on the net chapter? I will like that, not because the suffering he is going to pass (my poor yui!!!) but that he'll became a real warrior...so cool!!!!
And Elder T...i forgot the name, but the one with the empathic gift...he is nut!!! I like him!!! XD

Coffee and scones my Lady?

First off thank you for the treat of this turning up when it was still my weekend, Whether it was intended or not, it brought a smile to my face as I settled down to enjoy the story.

Well to start at the beginning, I really enjoy how you answered my many quires as this part of their tale jumped leaps and bounds.

But these are 'men' my Lady and they are not thinking. . . (no wonder Jupiter is female) and we are dealing with a 'mother' who can only see so far because her son is involved.

To recap, so you can see what I'm on about. . .
We were all worried about Raoul's awakening and what he would suffer, even Yui. who by all accounts will suffer more than any of them.

The only ones who have a clue as to what Yui experienced are on a space ship that seems to be out of reach.

No one on Amoi has a 'strong' connection to Ancient Yui and Lady Erin can't link only feel the emotions that go on in his head.

Circumstances are now forcing her hand, and she has to try and contact Riki which could set Yui off.

Both sides seem to think that if contact is made with Riki and Yui awakens at that point he will be able to use the mind's eye and get Ancient Yui home.

If they can't reach Riki and ancient Yui starts to awake then Erin will put a mind block on him and knock him out until the others return.

The Elders on Amoi have stated that the message if contact is made must be made quickly because they won't be able to maintain the link for a great period of time.

So what happens if Yui is in the midst of awakening with Riki there and the link is cut off? They can't rightly put a clamp on him at that point can they?

Unless another empath (and not necessarily the one that has turned up on Yasuo) reveals powers that he is not even aware of. . . ( We really don't have a clue about Raoul. .. all we know is he has the most powerful mind around and is it my imagination or does he seem to be more aware of things, more in touch than he was before this all happened.) is able to maintain the link once the Elders drop out.

And why are we being pushed (very subtly mind you) to take note of Heiku, what's hiding in his little head?

(passes over more coffee and scones)

I really have to admit that who ever was grabbing at Riki in Raoul's mind is a puzzle. Good or evil? And it all ties in with these new set of Elders on Yasuo, that is a certainty. I think we all agree that confrontation will occur, but where? On the way home? On Amoi itself? Or do they head back into space after delivering the Maidens and get reinforcements. And who will be involved in what will be the final battle?

Oh Lady, your evil characters are truly that, and I love the way they twist a tale to make themselves innocent. . .the scary part is they really believe what they are saying. . . People who believe in the purity of their bloodline are to my mind the most dangerous people around. Isn't it ironic that just that belief would have been a Blondie's view before all this took place?

Well enough rambling. .. thank you for joining me for a cuppa, and I'll look forward to seeing where you take us next.

Wow, that was a long one, very long but very good. I am very pleased that Raoul is now awake this is a huge step in the right direction.*smiles* Now we just need Yui to wake up and then let them see each other, to seal that last little bit of fear that they no doubt will have and all will be good for them. Now we just need Iason's mother to awaken then we will have the whole gang back together.*smiles again* I do wonder though who were those men that were reaching out to Riki and Iason, and how did they reach out 'cause it wasn't part of Raouls memories(makes one wonder if this isn't some sort of trap). And who is this other Elder that is helping Lord Bastard,(you know you SHOULD change his name to that, 'cause that is the only thing I will address him with)and what injuries did he get and how? Many questions, that will have to wait to be answered of the story or should I say their JOURNEY has only just begun.
