Coffee, milk, sugars and plenty of scones... Sit down my Lady, hope you have time to spare, because there's much to discuss :)
(sips her coffee ) Can you understand why Jupiter did what she did? I'm talking about Amoian Society in the present day pre awakenings. Why furniture, pets and sexual restrictions. Was she so worried about them going astray again that she became to over protective over her Blondies? And strict in punishing the Warriors who later are the mongrels for not giving her absolute power?
The 'men who've awakened including Kai and Raimen haven't even blinked at the current situation, and yet Erin who is newly awakened is already aware of what went on in modern times and is questioning it.
Since the Queen is far from reticent wouldn't you th;ink at some stage these issues would be discussed with Jupiter? Especially the 'pet' issue. And would she still look so kindly on Iason when she finds out about Riki's 'past'? It is a worry. . .

And what was this about Erin saying the boys need to find 'true' brides so they can get them some heirs. . . I know, I know. . . you can love more than one person, but there is 'love' and being 'in love' and I'm romantic enough to believe there is a great difference between the two. Erin and Yuri, perhaps settled for a better term. Erin was already betrothed to Kai when he fell 'in love' with Raiman, and I would accept that Kai came to 'love' Erin and the same would hold true for the Intellect couple. But I imagine Erin didn't just throw things for the fun of it and must have spent many nights alone while Kai was out 'doing his thing' (I'm sure I've said this before, but I think it worth repeating XD)
Iason and Riki are so tightly 'in love' that any women who became involved with them would really feel out of it. So it is either a loveless union to save their sanity or these girls have to realize they only come second place, if that. I imagine the boys would be kind and polite and do their duty, but lets face it, their eyes are really only for each other, and alot of guilt would be flying around in all directions.
So surely Jupiter must have an idea or two how to produce heirs, still have a family unit, but keep the boys traditionally 'unmarried'?

Remember earlier I said I was a romantic at heart. . . well I've always believed that 'in love' always meant faithful to the one. Now I know that Kai and Raimen are definitely exceptions to that rule (I keep remembering a movie who's name escapes me, where the line goes. .. What's the word for a male slut? Reply.. there isn't one) and not that I disparage what they have. If it works for them, well good on them, but. . . You wouldn't expect to see this behaviour in Iason and Riki, which brings me to my other problem couple. . .Raoul and Yui.
Right now I have 4 Raoul's in my mind. There is the Raoul who is the Ancient, who pre the War, happily participated in many a 'romp' with the merry duo. There is the Raoul, who loved and lost the Warrior Yui. Thirdly the Raoul who had his mind wiped and became Kai's lover after Warrior Yui's death. And Fourthly the modern day version who had plenty of current day issues to contend with and now has to put all 4 versions together.
So at the moment, it looks like modern Raoul is out of the picture, because he was quite happy to fall in Kai's arms upon being awakened, fair enough. His last thoughts about possibly being stripped naked by Raimen before the evenings end. . .well .. .what can I say. . ..trying to understand, but. . . .
Yui is still on Amoi and I guess, what happens in Space, stays in Space, but would Raoul be happy with that (the one who loved a Warrior and lost him? or the current version?)
Do you think that before they come home there is a chance of some sort of communication with Yui? Perhaps that would help Raoul combine these separate parts quickly and forewarn Yui about what has taken place, Raoul has awakened and emotions from the past are running in all directions.

My dear 'lady' if I got down on bended knee and asked oh so nicely for you to get out the next chapter as soon as possible, to put me out of my misery, would that be asking too much XD
This chapter was very plot driven, quite different from the usual character development of previous chapters. And it proved a very powerful chapter.
But before that, lets look at Erin and Jupiter.
Erin and Jupiter seem to have very different views on government control. And although they seem to have a 'peace' between them at the moment, it might not last because they both come from different political arenas. Jupiter to maintain peace has always maintained control, Erin it seems believes in individual rights. And yet as an empath unless she was able to turn it 'off' and people knew it was off. . .isn't this also an invasion of privacy? Is it so different from Jupiter in stealth mode? One would never know what Erin is 'reading', but there have been instances, when I think it was Raiman, knew that Jupiter was nearby because he sensed her. So surely others would have that ability as well. Whereas no one would know what Erin is 'picking' up.
Both ladies, will need to find a balance between them as a new Amoi develops. I would hate to see Jupiter give up her current personality to revert back to Living Text mode because she is no longer needed in this new world. Perhaps Yuri is needed, to give both their political ideas /agendas the balance that at the moment is missing.
As to what is happening on the ship. .
I really liked the imagery of the storm that is Raoul's mind at the moment and that Riki is dealing with it on his own. And of course the angry words between Kai and Iason. . . one a lover and the other a father, each seeing things from a different point of view when it comes to Riki, although Iason has more 'right' on his side just because he has more knowledge of who Riki actually is in this lifetime.
Kai of course, is defensive over dealing with so much death, and yet I don't think Iason meant it as a walk in the park.. He was just stating a fact.. .Riki is scared of dead bodies, and that is what he would be dealing with in Raoul's memories. Kai's attitude as far as Iason was concerned was "Riki can deal with it", where as the truth is Kai never knew of this fear.
My guess is though that Riki didn't spare Iason because he needs an anchor, but rather he doesn't want Iason to suffer because of what is going on in Raoul's mind. After all he and Raoul do have a history and a friendship. Even though Riki would suffer to see and feel Raoul's 'pain', how much more so would it be for Iason considering his history with Raoul.
So when they land on this planet, Raould will finally be allowed to let loose the emotions that Kai locked away all those centuries ago, and poor Yui won't be there physically (pehaps mentally. . that minds eye seems to come in pretty handy at times XD)
Once again a great chapter.

Thanx for the update, this chappie was very good. The threesome was so DROOL worthy!! MAN some times I wish I was one of them, ok ALL the time I wish.*wink* The whole part with the Queen was informative, she had learned a lot since her awakening, but she DOES need to listen to what everyone is TELLING her and that is STAY IN BED!!*man how 'bout I put her over my knee, instead of Kai* The interaction between her and Jupiter was interesting, it was like watching the Great Debate them going back and forth with their veiws neither one wanting to relent. To tell you the truth I think Jupiter won that battle. And poor Iason I think he is being pushed out unfairly, Riki would in MY opinion be better off if he HAD Iason there from the start instead of keeping him out and then when it's the last resort and Raoul is so far gone in his greif tag Iason in and say help me keep Raoul grounded.(as you can see I am also really MAD at Riki right now, not just for leaving Iason out knowing that he could help, but for HURTING Iason...even if it was NOT Riki's intention)*huffs* Oh well Riki IS stubborn, and he does not know the meaning of the phrase *get help when needed* no he just takes it all on his own. Then what will he do when he gets Raoul and himself hurt and Iason wont be able to help 'cause the deed is already done, thank GOD that it has NOT come to that yet but it could and he will have no one to blame but himself and his stubbornness. Though Iason will blame himself as well 'cause he then would feel he should have pushed more to get to Riki and not allowed him to keep him from his mind.*sighs* Oh well, thanks again for the update, at lets hope that Riki can hold Raoul in check until they land or this whole thing would be for not.*smiles*

Hello!!! Finally a new chapter! A lot of time pass for you to let us enjoy this new chapter that, by the way, it incredible from beginig to end.
The sex-party of the start...OMG!!! That was mind blowing and the hell of a goog lemon scene. You are really good for that ones!!! Congratulations! You make soooooo happy! XD
An the last part...well, then a talk about Eiri, it was great and frithening... and soo anguish for Raoul. I've come to like him a lot, and what he is about to experiment...really bad thing, specially because Yui isn't with him...and also, i don't think me...myself, will like the way he dies (Yui).
Anyway i just hope you continue soon, beacuse next chapter it's going to be and explosive one (literally)!!!! See you!

Coffee?? or would you prefer something stronger this time?
After reading this chapter, I now feel that Chapters 1-7 was Part 1 to The Lost, and we are now starting Part 2 of this tale, as this chapter introduces a new group of Ancient Elders for our Intellects and Warriors to face. The question is where the battle will take place, Amoi or Fidelis? And would this mob join forces with the group of Elders working with Lord Bastion? Or will they try to wipe each other out beforehand?
I also found this chapter a re- introduction of characters we haven't seen in depth for a while. It was a nice balance to see the Mink household's reaction to Yui's new status, and Yui coming to terms with it all now that he is away from the Firm, Lady Erin and Jupiter.
It is no surprise that this lot would sit down and discuss what took place during the Lord's Dance. After all Attendants usually know more about what is happening than anyone. I'm must still hoping though, that when all memories are returned that Yui and Raoul are similar in behavior to Iason and Riki. (Yui was too easy with the whole thing as they sat around drinking for my liking :) when it comes to this { Yes, I know I've got a bugbear on that subject} )
As to what is taking place on the ship, I really like how the individual past histories are being slowly revealed. Yousi's story is a good example of how one can miss their chances, and even now although he and Heiku are together now, he still regrets the past.
Which brings us to Raoul. Hanging on a thread waiting for his awakening. Because I want him to wake, but I want Yui to be there, and as I've said before I dread seeing him fall into Kai's waiting arms. . . even 'if' the man means well.
Riki senses something, but like all good stories, will he work out in time what is wrong, or will it be a last second reveal so that knowledge is there, but no time to find a solution.
Hope the next chapter has Erin involved in the mix, because her mind might be the only thing that can reach them in time.And it would be nice if the ladies aren't just window dressing but active participants in the solution.
As I said before this chapter struck me as being more an intro to Part 2, so I look forward to more indepth/action in the next chapter.

It's fantastic!!! Your fic, i mean.
Lady E is so funny, specially when she start yell at Raimen...XD
Now, about Yu and Raoul...poor both of them...his death (Yu) was terrible and a totally understand Raoul for what he did...i mean, congratulations!!! They deserve it!

Wow, that was rather enlightening, poor Raoul this is indeed going to be rather hard for him, as it will for Yui. But they will bother have people that know them and love them there to help them get through this. So only time will tell on how much suffering they will have to go through before they find peace. And if Lord Bastard and that Elder thinks they will get Riki they have another thing coming, so I'm not worried about that Riki will be fine, Iason will make sure of it.

I think we are both in need of a strong cuppa after this chapter :)
Alot of things that Kai has said here, answer previous questions, and yet between you and me, I still am wary of him.
First off, he did no service to Raoul by burying his memories so deep. Personally for all his 'good' intentions' I think it was cruel to rob him of his memories of his lover and even of Yui's death. He deprived him of his right to mourn, and he had no business taking that away from him. Would he have liked it if he were robbed of his memories of Erin, Riki or Raiman? So why do that to Raoul?
To give him peace, or to give himself peace? Kai uses the excuse because of his 'mental strength he decided to lock his memories. Well to my mind, Raoul would have dealt with it as they all did, so this doesn't make sense. Even Riki thinks: Raoul had his break, and then shut down shortly thereafter. He was not afforded the time necessary for him to deal with the death in a constructive way.
Also why does Kai say When I learned at the Lord's Dance that this “Yui” was his lover in the present, I wondered if he was one and the same. I now see that it is as I feared.
Ok, what did he 'fear', if anything if he was being helpful, he would be overjoyed that Yui was here in the present not fear it. And not try and bed Raoul at the same time. . .
So I continue to wonder what game he is playing and why? I do not think him evil or a villain but I don't think you can paint him as clean as you would like to. And you know you are smiling at me right now because you know I'm right about this.
Now if I've understood this correctly, even if Raoul awakens, unless Riki lifts the 'block' imposed by his father', Raoul won't have a past memory of Yui. But he would have damn good memory of being Kai's lover. . .
And they've all agreed to keep the block on until Yui and Raoul can be reunited in real terms. Have they all lost the plot? Are they also planning to block out that Yui is an Ancient too? Because then Raoul might start to ask questions, and heaven forbid he does that. . .
Personally, I think if Yui and Raoul met in the minds eye Raoul would be hurting, but also start healing at the same time. I don't think he would be weaker than Kai, and I think he could cope better than Iason. Riki had the right idea here, not Iason. The Truth will Set you Free, and all these Blondies want to do is hide it because they can't handle the truth and are not giving Raoul the chance to deal with it.
One more thing that I find 'curious' for a better word. Kai is very happy to block everyone's memory of Yui and basically wipe him out of 'history'. .. and if he was 'wiped' then most likely his story would have been lost and he would never have been 'revived'.
Curious and curiouser when it comes to Lord Kai don't you think?
Yui on the otherhand has been thrown into the deep end and couldn't give a stuff about himself as long as Raoul is safe. And yet no one thinks of getting him on a shuttle and out there as fast as possible.
I think at this stage, even before Yui and Raoul awaken, they could have a meeting in the mind's eye, just to bring them both some peace. Especially now that Yui is an ancient, and Raoul doesn't have a clue about him. Hell, he might start thinking, who was Yui involved with in the past. . .and open up a whole new can of imaginary worms.
As to Lord Bastion and the Elders well the plot/action quickens there. I imagine many things will happen on that little green planet before those Maidens get home. . . which is why it would be a pity for both Erin and Yui to be sitting on the sidelines on Amoi.. .

Now if I've understood this correctly, even if Raoul awakens, unless Riki lifts the 'block' imposed by his father', Raoul won't have a past memory of Yui. But he would have damn good memory of being Kai's lover. . .
And they've all agreed to keep the block on until Yui and Raoul can be reunited in real terms. Have they all lost the plot? Are they also planning to block out that Yui is an Ancient too? Because then Raoul might start to ask questions, and heaven forbid he does that. . .
Personally, I think if Yui and Raoul met in the minds eye Raoul would be hurting, but also start healing at the same time. I don't think he would be weaker than Kai, and I think he could cope better than Iason. Riki had the right idea here, not Iason. The Truth will Set you Free, and all these Blondies want to do is hide it because they can't handle the truth and are not giving Raoul the chance to deal with it.
One more thing that I find 'curious' for a better word. Kai is very happy to block everyone's memory of Yui and basically wipe him out of 'history'. .. and if he was 'wiped' then most likely his story would have been lost and he would never have been 'revived'.
Curious and curiouser when it comes to Lord Kai don't you think?
Yui on the otherhand has been thrown into the deep end and couldn't give a stuff about himself as long as Raoul is safe. And yet no one thinks of getting him on a shuttle and out there as fast as possible.
I think at this stage, even before Yui and Raoul awaken, they could have a meeting in the mind's eye, just to bring them both some peace. Especially now that Yui is an ancient, and Raoul doesn't have a clue about him. Hell, he might start thinking, who was Yui involved with in the past. . .and open up a whole new can of imaginary worms.
As to Lord Bastion and the Elders well the plot/action quickens there. I imagine many things will happen on that little green planet before those Maidens get home. . . which is why it would be a pity for both Erin and Yui to be sitting on the sidelines on Amoi.. .

I think this is my favorite chapter so far, don't get me wrong I love all the chappies but this was something else, the awakening was rather funny than sad compared to all the others. Poor Raimen he has no clue as to why Erin wants to mame him.*smiles* And Raoul, man I hope this event wont make things worse for him when it comes time for his awakening.Well thank you for the chapter, can't wait to see what happens next, 'til next time BYE!!*smiles*
