Prologue

HUMANS

The Year: 2003 AD

Thursday, April 10.

For more than a Month the world has been clinging to the edge of it\'s seat awaiting the results of the war between the USA/Brittain aliance against Irak. The reporter on T.V. wearing a black band on his right arm in remembrance of lost comrades stares at the T.V. as you watch. \"And as the worldost ost tries to breathe in relief, there has been new footage from the war!\"

The reporter dissapears and his image is substituted by a scene from Bagdad where a wing ing portal of black energy can be seen forming above the city. The reporter continues on voice-over. \"This has recently appeared above Bagdad, the Pentagon has yet to determine if this is indeed one of the feared weapons of the Iraki regimen. However, as soon as it appeared most equipement shut up for about thirteen minutes and there is already speculation t tht the type of weapon it is...\"

The camera focuses on the whirling portal, a mass of black energy with clouds of white spiraling into it\'s center. Suddenly the reporter comes on again as the camera shots back. \"A helicopter is heading for it! We go to our reporter contact Guillermo Ochoa in Iraq, Guillermo!\"

An elder man with a grey suit appears before the camera, sorrounded by runing soldiers. \"Yes, we can see the helicopter has risen from one of the few remaining buildings in Bagdad,\" he stops a soldier. \"excuse me sergeant, what\'s the situation.\"

The soldier glares at him for a moment before answering. \"That helicopter is carrying Hussein!\" he hissed into the microphone. For a moment you can see through the whirpool, and can make out a Jungle and a huge thing approaching. But it\'s just for a second, and when you look around it seems no-one else noticed. The helicopter approaches the Whirpool admist thousands of shots and attempts to enter it. Attempts, for as soon as it approaches a huge scythe-like thing slices through it and it explodes.

Everything turns into a chaos and the T.v. agains shows the first reporter. \"We seem to be having some problems, but we\'ll be right back with you.\"

Saturday, April 12

Again as you watch T.V. the reporter reads the incredible news. \"The world\'s scientists have determined that this event that has repeated itself in various countries, including USA, Mexico, England, France, Brazil and others is, as incredible as it seems, a gate into another dimension! They have baptized it the \"Digital World\" because it has an incredible resemblance to the world created, or forseen maybe, by a japanese designer named Akiyoshi Hongo.\" The image is substituted by that of various presidents talking rapidly to gathered reporters. \"We have the best of the best of the workd investigating this reports...\" Bush was saying. \"We are doing what we can TODAY so we can explore this new dimension tomorrow\" said Fox to the gathered Mexicans.

The reporter returned to the screen. \"So far we have information on this world from cameras that have gone thru the portal, but no serious study has been made so far of these portals due to their appearing and dissapearing in different parts of the world. So far the following cities have been visited and the portals dissapeared...\"

You watch and listen as your city is listed as those where no portal is, but whenever you watch the sky you can clearly see the portal outside... and through it...

DIGIMON

The scene fades into a crystal clear underground lake where the image of the T.V. seems to be reflected. There are various forms standing around it, staring at the water. \"So you see,\" says a voice from the shadows. \"The humans would seek to conquer our lands! See what they did to each other! How can we allow them to contact US! They must be stopped! All of you have experienced human cruelty in one way or another, so you understand what I mean!\" There were mutters around the group, but everyone nodded. \"There will be a new group of Digidestined... there always is. We have to find them and stop them! You are my commanders! Search, and gather help to our cause! We must be ready!\"

A few of the Digimon step into the light. You can make out a Gatomon standing next to another cat-like Digimon with bat wings and a sword, next to them a small red dragon Digimon stood. \"Gatomon, Gatemon, Redmon...\" the voice said. \"You three will be the first to start with the gathering... do not hesitate to fight the humans! But Digimon are to be convinced! Now go!\"

The three nodded and ran out of the cave while the other\'s shadows slowly faded.
