Tearing Off the Shadows

Title: Tearing Off the Shadows
Series: Matantei Loki Ragnarok
Authors: Sarit and Deathangelgw
Rating: NC-17!
Pairing: Heimdall/Mayura/Loki
Warning: Angst, fluff, sap, lemon!!!
Timeline: after the end of the series
Notes: This is the first collaboration my roomie and I did for the Loki series! Finally got her to do one ;) Fic was inspired by a pic that Mayurasan (princessfilia) drew for the rpg that we’re on together.

Up in the tree, a figure could barely be seen. He watched the pretty pink-haired young girl walk home from school, his one eye that was visible keeping a close watch on her. For some reason, this girl was important to his most hated enemy. Taking her away would mean his enemy’s heartache, which he longed for greatly.

Mayura hummed softly as she walked lazily towards Loki-kun\'s house. She was looking forward to doing some mysteries today! She giggled as she bounced a bit, and then pushed at the gate to head inside.

A dark cloud fell over Mayura unexpectedly. The darkness seemed to have a red glow to it before a young boy stood in her path, blocking her from moving any farther. Only one eye could be seen, and it was as red as blood.

Mayura blinked, surprised as she looked around curiously. She saw the red eye, and then tilted her head. \"Did you know a storm was coming too?\" She asked innocently.

\"Hai. I\'ve come to take you out of the storm.\" Heimdall smirked. He beckoned to her. \"I have a secret I want to tell you...\"

\"Hontou desu ka?!\" Mayura asked excitedly as she bounced and ran forward. She bent down, smiling sweetly. \"What is the secret??\"

\"This.\" Heimdall reached up, touching her forehead. A blast of his power flowed into her, rendering her unconscious instantly.

Falling without a sound, Mayura lay in a heap at Heimdall\'s feet.

Gathering her easily into his arms despite his small size, Heimdall whisked her away. Now the fun would begin...

A couple of hours later, Mayura woke up slowly, moaning as her head pounded slowly in pain. She looked around, and then sat up carefully, clutching her aching head. \"Where am I?\" She wondered in confusion.
\"Where only I know the location.\" A deep voice remarked. A young man, a little older than Mayura, replied. He had purple hair and was dressed in very much the same type of clothing that adult Loki wore. His hair covered his right eye, his one red eye gazing upon her warily.

Looking up in surprise, Mayura stared at the young man, blinking. \"Who are you?\" She asked in curiosity.

\"I am your captor for the moment.\" Heimdall retorted, his red eye boring into hers.

\"Captor? How come?\" Mayura asked innocently as she tilted his head, staring at his eye. \"Did someone hit your eye? It\'s all red.\" She asked in concern.

Heimdall felt his eye twitch. \"No, someone didn\'t hit me in the eye, though someone did something far worse. Your little friend...Loki.\" He all but spat the name out in hatred.

\"Loki-kun? What did he do to you? Shall I tell him to apologize?\" Mayura asked, instantly concerned. She reached up and cupped the stranger\'s face tenderly. \"Want me to look at it and help you? I know first aid.\"

Twitching, Heimdall smacked her hand away angrily. \"Don\'t touch me! I don\'t want him to apologize, I want him dead!\"

\"Doushite?\" Mayura asked quietly as she tilted her head in curiosity.

Growling, Heimdall stood. He walked over to her, gazing at her before pushing aside his hair.

A gaping hole could be seen where his eye once had been. The edges of the skin were crusted where blood had matted itself to the skin. \"THIS is why!\"

Gasping softly, Mayura covered her mouth in horror before reaching up tenderly. \"Oh you poor thing!! You should see a doctor for that!!\"

\"Don\'t be stupid, girl.\" Heimdall snarled, smacking her hands away.

\"Itai! Why are you so mean?! I just want to help!\" Mayura cried, pouting. She stood up then and stared up at him challengingly. \"Why did you bring me here? To smack at my hands when I try to help?!\"

\"Why? Simple, girl. You are precious to Loki. If I hurt you, I hurt him.\" Heimdall retorted, pushing her roughly against the bed, watching her fall. He leaned over her, his adult body blocking hers from escaping.

Eeping in surprise as she stared up at him in shock, Mayura trembled. \"Who are you?\" She whispered softly, confused.

\"Heimdall.\" He replied, his one eye all but glaring at her.

\"Heimdall-chan...Why are you so angry? Why can\'t you get medical treatment and what does this have to do with Loki-kun?\" Mayura asked quietly, not standing down. She was pissed!

\"Don\'t call me that.\" Heimdall said coldly, pushing her against the bed again. \"He stole my EYE!! Do you think I can forget that?! Do you know what it was like, to have someone you trusted pull your own eye out of your socket with his bare hands?!\"

Looking up at him, nothing but sympathy shone from Mayura\'s eyes. \"I don\'t know what that is like, Heimdall-chan, but I do know Loki-kun wouldn\'t do that. He\'s kind and generous and he\'s my friend.\"

\"Really now? When he\'s done nothing but lie to you since you\'ve known him? Just how much do you know about him, girl?\" Heimdall challenged, a smirk on his face.

Uncertainty came to Mayura\'s face before defiance took over. \"Loki-kun is my special friend. That\'s all I need to know!\"

\"In other words, he hasn\'t told you anything.\" Heimdall smirked. \"He always did like to keep his pets in the dark.\"

\"P-pet?! I am no one\'s pet!!\" Mayura said indignantly before slapping him. \"You are so rude! You don\'t know Loki-kun like I do!!\"

\"Don\'t I?\" Heimdall smirked, pulling her up suddenly. \"Do you wish to see how well I know your \'Loki-kun?!\'\"

Trembling in anger and the first glimmers of fear, Mayura glared at him before batting at his hands. \"Let go of me! You are a mean person and I won\'t let you hurt Loki-kun!\"

\"Oh, I would love more than anything to hurt your precious \'Loun.\un.\' But as yet, he has proven untouchable.\" Heimdall retorted, and then slammed her against the wall, his hand on her throat. \"You will watch, girl.\"

He raised his hand, the window in the room shimmering, and then becoming solid, an image appearing upon its surface.

Choking slightly, Mayura fought at his hand, clawing at it. \"Let me...go!\" She hissed out, whimpering. She kicked at him, trying to get free.

Smirking, Heimdall pulled her against his body, his arm around her waist. He leaned in, whispering into her ear. \"What\'s the matter, Mayura? You\'re not afraid of me are you?\"

\"Iiee! I won\'t let you hurt Loki-kun!\" Mayura cried, struggling to get free.

\"Good.\" Heimdall pushed her forward, sitting on the edge of the bed. He pulled her into his lap, holding her against him tightly. \"Let me show you the true Loki.\"

The image on the window shifted, showing Loki as Mayura knew him. It changed suddenly, showing Loki\'s true image.

Staring at the image, Mayura blinked in shock. \"D-demo...he said he was a *friend* of Loki-kun\'s.\" She whispered softly, trembling.

\"What did I tell you? He lied. He does that a lot. Some call him the Father of Lies and Deceit.\" Heimdall smirked, enjoying this immensely.

Sniffling, Mayura looked down and leaned back into Heimdall. She covered her face and sniffled again before she started crying softly.

\"Come now, girl. Why do you cry?\" Heimdall whispered into her ear, caressing her stomach soothingly.

\"Because Loki-kun l-lied to me...\" Mayura said between her tears, sniffling before sobbing softly.

\"Hush girl. What matters if he lied to you?\" Heimdall turned her face to his, gazing into her eyes.

\"He\'s my friend! I trust him!\" Mayura said and sobbed softly. She hugged Heimdall tightly, sobbing. \"Why did he lie? Why?\"

\"Because he is selfish.\" Heimdall said with narrowed eyes. \"Why else would the Trickster do it?\"

Sniffling, Mayura trembled and sobbed again. \"He lied to me...Loki-kun lied to me...\" She whimpered out repeatedly.

\"Hai...but I will not.\" Heimdall whispered into her ear. \"I have no need of lies.\"

\"You do too! Or else you would tell me why you are saying such things to me!\" Mayura said indignantly as she got off his lap and walked away, wrapping her arms around her waist as she sobbed. \"You don\'t care! I hear it! People think I’m dumb, but I know when people don\'t care! And I know Loki-kunes!\es!\"

\"Perhaps I say them because I am jealous of him.\" Heimdall said, and then blinked. Where had that come from? He couldn\'t deny that his words were true, but why had he said them to her?

Looking over slowly, Mayura sniffled, biting her lip. \"Why are you jealous?\" She asked softly, eyes filled with tears that didn\'t spill yet.

\"Loki has everything. He\'s always had everything.\" Heimdall growled, looking away from her. \"He has children that love him, people adore him. My own father can\'t stand me and no one has ever liked me. I am the lone wolf, the one that is forever alone.\"

\"I like you.\" Mayura said softly as she looked down.

\"Why?\" Heimdall asked suspiciously.

\"Because...you are honest and you seem to care for all of your supposed hatred.\" Mayura said firmly before turning and going over to the window.

\"What are you doing?\" Heimdall asked, alarmed. He didn\'t move, however. He just watched her approach the window with trepidation.

\"Can\'t I even look outside?\" Mayura asked softly as she looked out the window, tears dripping steadily down her cheeks.

\"Be careful of the portal...you could get hurt.\" Heimdall warned, and then cursed himself silently. What did he care if she got hurt or not?

\"Hurt? How?\" Mayura turned to him, wiping her face of tears before walking back over to him.

\"You just will, all right?\" Heimdall said curtly. \"Just stay away.\"

\"Doushite?\" Mayura asked in curiosity as she came over and sat down next to him.

\"Don\'t ask questions, just do as I say.\" Heimdall retorted, not even sure why he was stopping her. After all, if she got hurt, then so would Loki.

\"I never do what I\'m told.\" Mayura said teasingly, grinning impishly.

\"That is readily apparent.\" Heimdall rolled his eyes. \"You are mortal after all.\"

\"So what are you?\" Mayura asked belligerently, pouting.

\"Not mortal.\" Heimdall smirked.

\"Moooouuuu! That\'s not an answer!\" Mayura said with a pout, crossing her arms over her chest as sharedared at him.

\"Of course it is.\" Heimdall couldn\'t help but grin. He was starting to realize why Loki kept her around. She was rather cute.

\"Is not! You could be anything! Oooo even a magician!\" Mayura said, her eyes gazing starily up at the ceiling.

\"I could be anything, huh? And what do you think I am?\" Heimdall purred, leaning over her with a smirk.

Gulping as she leaned back slowly, staring up at him, Mayura trembled. \"Um...a magician?\" She squeaked out.

\"No.\" Heimdall smirked, leaning farther until she was on her back on the bed. \"Much more than that, my dear.\"

\"What are you doing, Heimdall-chan?\" Mayura squeaked out breathlessly, looking up at him while blushing.

Fingering the bow to her uniform, Heimdall smirked. \"What do you think I\'m doing?\" He undid the bow, his fingers playing with one of the buttons.

Swallowing hard, but not stopping him, Mayura watched him curiously as well as warily. \"Undoing my clothes.\"

\"Very good.\" Heimdall continued to undo the buttons of her uniform. \"Any objections?\"

\"One.\" Mayura meeped out softly as she held a finger up and bopped him on the nose, blushing.

\"And what is that?\" Heimdall asked, his hand hovering just over her chest.

\"That you don\'t run away.\" Mayura whispered softly as she laced her fingers with his hand.

\"I don\'t run away.\" Heimdall said firmly with a nod.
