Celestial Time Warriors
CELESTIAL TIME WARRIORS
Prologue
Meeting Krishna & Isis
Auckland Anime Convention 2006
The three friends met up outside and looked down at their watches . “So I can’t believe it you finally get to introduce us to your American friends.” One of the girls wearing white stiletto heels, fishnet stockings, frilly dress-thing (with lots of lace the back exposed to her waist; where a large bow sat, and large sleeves lace on the hem; and at mid thigh length, and more lace crisscrossed over the ribbons in her hair; a complete white and purple lace dress) spoke; she was cos-playing as Chi from Chobits for the Anime convention.
“Cha.” The elder of the three remarked as she had a makeshift Jakujou (a staff with a crescent-moon shaped blade attached at the end with chains) resting over her shoulders and her arms resting over it remarked, she was dressed in black trousers, boots, a white tank top and a light chocolate-brown open jacket a bandanna across her forehead, the girl was cos-playing as Saiyuki Reload’s Gojyo.
The last took in a deep breath. “Well then should we go in?” She asked nervously trying to adjust the straps of her purple and white outfit the sash at the waist also purple and the skirt part white also with slits up either side, she was cos-playing as Princess Sheela from Bastard with the only exception to the outfit were long silver earrings that looked like curved swords.
“Well we didn’t get dressed up like freaks to just stand here and admire the yellow color of the sign posts.” The elder of the three remarked with a smirk earning looks from the other two for her comment.
“Only she’d say something random like that.” The one dressed like Chi remarked before she stepped inside.
“I feel so exposed.” The Sheela cos-player mumbled.
“I knew I should have gone as Kiba, it’s casual and un-noticeable.” The oldest remarked.
“Well you brought the change of clothes didn’t you Jezanna?” The younger of the three (Chi) asked the elder of them.
“Yeah I did and I brought yours too in case you get hit on for wearing that ice-cream cake you call a dress Taisha.” Jezanna smiled.
“I swear between you and Angelina you both can be really mean.” Taisha pouted.
“It’s my job to be mean.” Angelina remarked smiling.
“I only get mean when I’m in Sanzo mode.” Jezanna added. “Which reminds me…”
“She forgot to stop for smokes on the way here.” Angelina told Taisha, “So she’s moody.”
“Well we were running late.” Jezanna defended herself and watched as someone walked by dressed up as Edward from Full Metal Alchemist.
“So what did they say they would be cos-playing as?” Taisha asked.
“Chibi should be dressed like Kuno and Diane should be dressed like Millie Thompson.” Jezanna looked through the crowd of people. “Damn I thought we’d be the only freaks dressed up at these things…” She added in complaint before searching through her jacket pocket and pulled out her cellphone and started sending a text off to see if she could locate them.
“Considering Diane and chibi haven’t seen Bastard, Chobits or Saiyuki they won’t have a clue what we look like.” Jezanna added.
“Ooooooh nice.” Taisha remarked as she watched a Vicious cos-player walked past.
“What would be better would be to see a Tsume for me.” Angelina remarked.
“It’s a shame these guys aren’t the real ones otherwise we could get some serious glomping in while we’re here.” Jezanna laughed and she placed her phone back in her pocket and looked round. “I told them to meet me by the DC comic stands.” She made her way through the crowd and stopped at the comic stand, her two friends looked round and Jezanna started going through comics on the Flash.
“Ooooh Green Lantern… Batman.” Angelina looked on while Taisha just crossed her arms and watched as various people walked past some normal some cos playing as random things like science fiction character, comic book characters, Anime and various other things.
“You know what’s cool, Marvel, I like X-men.” Taisha spoke not noticing the glare from DC fans at her, she was too busy looking out for the two they were suppose to meet. “Steve and Diane are late.” Angelina remarked as she placed a comic down.
“Not too late it’s their first time in New Zealand give them a chance….” Jezanna pointed out and placed the comic down back in the stand.
“I think I see them.” Taisha jumped up and down and motioned.
Angelina turned round and cupped her hands in a megaphone shape. “ Hey Diane! Steve! Over here!” She called out.
The two caught on and waved at them before they made there way over to the three by the stands.
“Hi… Big crowd isn’t it?” Diane smiled.
“Yeah nice to meet you finally Jezanna can’t stop talking about you two.” Angelina smiled.
“I hope it’s all good.” Diane teased.
“Hey Chibi.” Jezanna hugged the only guy of their group the young teenager just smiled, he’d already been out to Japan with his school trip but this also was a new experience for him.
“The country that’s the home of Lord of the Rings… and look at those orcs.” Diane grinned as a couple of orcs trudged past.
“Ewww.” Taisha curled up her nose.
“Well ramblers lets get rambling.” Jezanna remarked.
Angelina looked at her. “That’s not a very Gojyo thing to say.”
“Meh.” Jezanna shrugged. “I watched Reservoir Dogs and From Dusk til Dawn last night I can’t help it.”
“Once a film student always a film student.” Angelina rolled her eyes and led the group away from the comic book stands.

*Jezanna’s POV*
The convention was interesting to say the least, pretty much just that stalls with anime, comic books and merchandise regarding each person’s fascination from old school things like Red Dwarf to the new and upcoming Anime with even screenings up for the upcoming Anime and all that.
The five of us spent most of it talking to each other and browsing the stalls, there was even a competition for costumes for each cos-player in each category from Anime to sci-fi. I wasn’t aiming to win anything I just wanted to cos-play without it looking too weird and outrageous like Taisha and Angelina had done with there outfits, even Chibi stood out slightly in his Kuno costume.
“Once this is done we’ll change out of these that’s for sure.” Angelina remarked. “I feel far too exposed.”
“And Taisha looks like an ice cream cake.” I added, “She’s the one who should want to change the most.”
Taisha stuck her tongue out at me in her childish manner.
Angelina looked at me. “And you were going to go as Kiba…”
“I am, after you see jeans white shirt and an aviator jacket is normal.” I replied.
“What you’re wearing right now is normal.” Diane remarked. “But try wearing this. It’s damn hot.”
“But you make a great Millie.” Ange smiled at her.
“I agree.” Steve added smiling.
“Thanks Chibi, Ange but you don’t have to be nice to me.” Diane looked slightly uncomfortable with the comments but she took them as good ones anyway.
“Since when has Ange been nice?” Taisha teased, which earned a Sanzo mode Ange thumping her on the arm.
I let my head fall backward. “I could do with a cigarette…” I complained.
“We\'ll get you your damn smokes after the winners are called.” Taisha sighed. “Just don’t go Sanzo on us, that’s not very Gojyo.”
“Plus we haven’t seen the full wrath of your Sanzo modes and we don’t want to witness them.” Ange remarked.
“Hey check it out a midvalley Cos-player…” Diane remarked grabbing my attention.
“Allllllllright.” I grinned, and he was pretty cute as well. “I just need a Vash or Nicky to occupy my time now… until I can get my smokes.”
It was only a few more moments before the winners were announced the first place went to some one who had a complete and utter almost replica costume of Alphonse Aleric from Full Metal as first place the second going to a Sesshomaru cos-player and the third to Beast Boy cos-player complete with green face paint and dyed hair.
With Ange, Diane, Chibi and myself getting mini prizes of twenty dollar vouchers to spend in the stalls for our effort in the sub categories of Anime Cos-playing, Ange for her bravery as walking round in the cold weather dressed in the freezing cold Princess Sheela costume, Taisha for her effort on the Ice Cream Cake dress, Chibi for wandering round, backward talking to people in his Kuno manner, Diane for her Millie costume and likeness and myself for lugging round a huge-ass Jakujou staff thing.
“Now can we go for cigarettes?” I asked hopefully.
“Alright alright.” Ange sighed.
“I want chocolate!” Taisha added.
“What’s new.” Ange sighed.
“I am really hungry too guys.” Chibi added holding his stomach and we looked at him as we all heard the stomach growl and loudly.
“We can do that, so long as I’m not paying I have to save up my money for this trip. I can’t blow it in one go.” Diane replied.
“Yeah Taisha and myself seem to do that, we don’t need a third to the club of \'let\'s blow all our money in one day.\'” I joked.
~*~*~*~
Once outside Jez was at the dairy across the road buying a packet of cigarettes since she was just too lazy to roll her cigarettes in the hobo manner she’d grown accustomed to, namely to save money while she was trying to quit.
The five walked back across the road towards the convention when a figure dressed up as Krishna from Hindu mythology looked at them from where he was leaning up against the wall.
“I’ve been waiting for you five, congratulations on your prizes.” He remarked. “But I have an even better prize…”
Ange looked at him. “Were there mythology cos-playing going on inside, I wasn’t aware, that’s pretty cool.”
“He’s cute.” Taisha mumbled so only the five could hear.
He smiled. “I’m Krishna and I’ve been looking for five unique souls to go on a mission for me to retrieve some lost items.”
“You should try lost and found, they’re normally pretty good.” Taisha offered.
He just smiled and she blinked at that smile, it was dazzling, even making Ange look just slightly flustered. Jez looked at him raising an eyebrow.
“Lets go guys…” She remarked.
“Jez?” Diane looked at him.
He smiled catching on. “You sense my strange… aura don’t you? You’re unsure whether to trust me or not…”
Jez raised an eyebrow. “I’m always wary of men don’t take it personally.”
“Is that the thanks I get for protecting your house from your brother’s ex-friends? I was keeping that barrier up all night so they couldn’t get close.” He spoke.
The group looked at Jez as she took a step back.
“Jez?” Steve spoke.
She swallowed. “Damnit how’d you-?” She began.
“Know? Well Krista for starters she asked me and well the general concern in her request was one not to be ignored, the formation of the rubbish bins blocking the entrance was my doing too…”
“Okay I’m officially wigging out now.” Jez replied.
“Please just hear me out…I do need a favor in return, and since, you five are unique in each manner you’d make the perfect team.”
Ange looked at him wearily. “So long as all five of us listen…”
“Of course I’m merely one and you do have a martial artist and a ninja amongst you, if you feel I’m attacking you in anyway, feel free to deal to me.” It was an almost patronizing comment.
But the five followed him round to the back of the anime convention where in the back of the wall a replica star gate sat.
He pulled out a palm pilot and handed it to Diane. “You my dear apothecary shall keep track of the inventory and as you leave each world I will come and collect it from you, to save you carrying it around.”
“Um… okay…” Diane looked at him.
“Steve, here’s some weapons you might need in your journeys use them wisely, for your strength will definitely be needed.”
“Oro?” Steve tilted his head to the side confused as he was handed some old ninjitsu weapons that were obviously illegal in our little country.
“Taisha… The empath, each world could possibly strength or weaken your powers so here are some crystals to help you lessen or strengthen your powers as need be.”
She looked at him her face flushing as he took her hand placing a pouch in her hand. “Don’t lose them.” He added.
Taisha opened the pouch and looked in at the various crystals. “Ohhh pretty.”
“Jezanna.” He began and she placed the Jakujou up against the wall next to the stargate as he handed her a simple thunderbolt necklace. “From your Goddess Oya, for protection when martial arts aren’t enough. It will give you access to borrow her powers directly. But don’t forget to thank her and return them after each use.”
“Uhhhh kay…”
“Angelina… For you I give the powers of interpretation for each world, you will adjust to each world accordingly and be a guide for the others and the mission.” He placed his hand on her forehead and the group watched as a faint blue light shone around her for just a moment. “I place you in charge of the group.” He removed his hand and she looked down at herself.
He walked up to the stargate and pushed in a various code that set the star gate alight with a flash of a blue liquid light.
“Ohhhh shit…” Jez breathed.
“Each world has several gates for you to pass to and through from at key points in each of the worlds, collect those items before your world becomes doomed. They must be returned to this world to preserve the balance and watch out for the demons that will be in each world they will try and stop you and prevent the balance, hoping it will shift in their favor giving them access to gain power in your world during the day.” He continued to explain.
“Now go the first gate in the cross-over world awaits… Angelina knows the codes to push…” He motioned to the stargate.
Diane shook her head. “What makes you think we’re just going to listen to you?”
“For your fear of life…” He motioned behind himself and the group stared at a group of grotesque figures emerging out of thin air and walking towards them.
“Hokay… I’m officially spooked now.” Jez grabbed her Jakujou staff before looking at the stargate. “I’ve seen demons before and trust me that’s what they look like!”
“Go now…” He spoke.
“Who are you?” Ange looked at him.
“Krishna.” Was his only reply before he vanished from their sight.
“There they are the time warriors kill them!” A voice ordered.
“Hokay jumping through now!” Jez remarked and leap through the gate first.
The others followed suit quickly the gate closing up before the demons could reach them.
~*~*~*~
There was a flash of blue lightening as the five figures were thrown out the other of the stargate before all of them landing face first with a thud on the ground…
“Owwww…” Steve complained.
“Well that was graceful.” Diane drawled sarcastically.
“Just what the hell is going on why did we just listen to that guy?” Ange demanded.
“He was pretty.” Taisha sighed wistfully.
Jez looked behind them at the stargate and grabbed her Jakujou staff and looked at another stargate in front of them, a woman stood there and she smiled at the five travelers.
“Don’t worry about the landings you’ll grow accustomed to them, it’s training in a way.” She smiled.
The five stood up looking at her, she was beautiful beyond anything they’d ever seen mortally.
“I’m Iris… also know as Isis…” She smiled.
“The messenger of the Gods.” Jez remarked.
Isis smiled. “That’s right. And you five are new Celestial Time Warriors.”
Diane looked at her skeptically. “And what happened to the old ones?”
“Well they died.” Isis replied.
“Oro!” Steve exclaimed.
“Oh no nothing like that… but every two hundred years the warriors are chosen to recover relics to keep the order and balance of both worlds the world of fiction and the world of reality. It’s your mission to recover the true relics and return them to Krishna, It’s just for balance, when one world gets to much power it disrupts the balance making it easier for the creatures you saw to appear in broad daylight when they shouldn’t be able to, normally they would be restricted to the visions of those who worship them or to just appearance in the plain of the in between. But the relics lost in the world are fiction have become too many, for the demons have taken them and placed them in various worlds in order to appear in your world. It takes them a few hundred years to do so, which is why you five have been choose, this stargate is the one which will help you cross in to the world of fiction.” She watched as the five travelers stood up off the ground.
“The first world I’m going to send you to has the best psychics in the known fictional world they will supply you with each world and what relic is hidden there and the location, to help cut down time, because trust me… without their help this could take a few hundred years otherwise.” Isis explained.
Ange sighed. “Uhhh this is all a bit too much to process at the moment, if you don’t mind.”
“I understand, but I have to be quick for the demons can follow you here and beyond, they can’t catch up with you it’s important for if they do, the next chosen five will not arrive until another two hundred years time and that is two hundred years too late for they would have gained control over your world by then.” She continued.
Diane just nodded. “It’s okay, we understand what we have to do… But who are we seeking out in this next world?”
“The Kanassans… Any of them, one or the other will be able to help you, but be swift their kind is about to be wiped out.” Isis explained.
“We get to see Bardock!” Diane smiled.
“Bardock, he’s such a bishie…” Taisha added.
Isis just smiled. “Well you better hurry up then.” She pushed a code on the star gate and it came to life and the five looked at each other. “You can’t be there any longer than twelve hours, any other world after that it doesn’t matter… you can take a week to a month, it all depends on you. Just remember the longer you\'re gone, the longer you’re gone from your own world.” Isis stepped aside and motioned to the star gate.
Ange just sighed. “Here we go again… I don’t think I’m ever going to get used to this.”
“You and me both.” Diane agreed.
Jez looked at Taisha then to Steve. “Well try not to land on me.”
“I so did not land on you.” Taisha protested.
“Oro if you’re worried about that then jump through last.” He remarked.
“On the count of three we jump all together.” Ange ordered.
“One…”
“Two…”
“THREE!!!!”
The five raced to the blue liquid light and jumped through all at the same time, before vanishing and the star gate closing up after them.
Isis looked at the gate. “Good luck… You’re going to need it.”
