Disclaimer: I do not own Wolf’s Rain, nor do I make any money by writing this story.

For some reason I had to re upload my story, I think it was due to a glitch, since I also had to sign up again. Anyways thanks to every on who reviewed the first time, I should have the second chapter up tonight.

Well I got bored, and I ended up watching the Wolf’s Rain DVDs I have, and got struck with inspiration. I hope you guys enjoy this. Oh and this takes place after the series ends, and life was started over, I decided to turn a few character into wolves who weren’t before. Also this is my Idea please don’t steal, I don’t know why you would want to though, it isn’t all that good.

You sat down on your brother’s left side, his mate on his right, while you waited for a few other wolf pack leaders to finally get in and take a seat. The forest clearing was completely silent of all other life, except the yips, howls, and a few harsh barks . There were wolves of every color shape and size, black, gray, white, brown, red, some with a blondish color, and sables of every kind . This meeting took place maybe once or twice a month, almost always lead by your brother, since your pack was one of the strongest around, though you hated being part of it. Finally the last pack leader arrived, “Silance!” Your brother howled and all chatter among the others stopped abruptly and they turned to him. You sat up as straight as you could, but made sure to keep lower than your brother, you never got higher than your alpha, that was a sign of disrespect, and though you were his sister he wouldn’t allow you to disrespect him, not in front of every one else.

Your gold eyes that seemed to stand out compared to your blackish-gray fur, much like your brother’s did, except one of his eyes were blue. With cold calculation you swept your eyes over the crowed, what ever an older wolf and your brother were discussing was lost to you as you tuned them out, you would probably be told about it later by Harmona. You had just started too look over the second row of wolves when your eyes locked with another pair of gold ones, unlike most who would have looked away quickly as a sign of respect, these didn’t. You scanned the owner of the eyes a gray wolf, lean but very muscular, an X scar on his chest. The wolf seemed to be looking you over as well, every male wolf knew you didn’t have a mate, though you were by far old enough to have one, but your brother wouldn’t allow it. You weren’t allowed to leave your pack either, to get away from him and maybe start a life of your own, no other pack would have took you in afraid that it would anger your brother, then start a war. You turned your head up to this wolf slightly, showing utter defiance, though to any one else it may looked like you were just stretching your neck, but he under stood just perfectly.

The meeting was finally over much to your relief, as the big group of mixed pack leaders began to brake. Some would probably stay in the neutral territory before starting their long journey home, other would head back to their claimed land. You were luck sine your pack had territory close by, and it wasn’t long of a journey, you knew with in a few days time that the peace treaty that all packs consented too would be over, and the packs that lived far away would be in danger if they were caught in another packs’ territory, though sometimes the pack leaders would give more leeway if the pack caught was still traveling a great distance, it usually just depended on the alphas. Your thoughts wondered a bit as you picked up into a steady trotting place following your brother, and Harmona, you couldn’t shake the gray wolf from your head, all through the meeting the two of you would catch one another looking at each other, though no one else seemed to notice. “What’s wrong with you (your name)?” Hermona asked as you started to fall behind a bit. “Oh nothing I was just thinking.” You said picking up your pace as your brother looked back at you a bit, though never missing a beat as he went along.

“What were you thinking about?” He asked once you finally caught up to him, and were out his side, it was one of the few times you ever walked beside and not behind him. “Nothing much really, just a few of the topics that were discussed that’s all.” You expertly lied. You learned after many years of practice how to lie with out your brother picking up on it, he use to always catch you but not anymore. “Well keep up, I want to get home before sun rise.” He stated before braking out into a controlled run, you and Hermona followed, making almost no noise as you went. You sped up passing by your brother, giving a yip, you wanted to race. The weather was perfect for it, the moon shining it was cool out with a slight breeze but not bone chilling, the night animals gave their distinctive cries as they chatted among them selves. Hermona was the first one to catch up to you, both of you were very fast, though Hermona was far smaller than you were and less muscled, she was still pretty strong. Your brother than came up beside you as well, he was very muscled and bigger than most males thanks to your father, though you were almost his exact size, and close to being as strong as he was since you took more after your father as well. This made you bigger than most females, and ideal to become an alpha female since you were about three years old in human years, soon to be four. So you weren’t just some extremely young pup with to much energy anymore, you were a good deal wiser than that. A silent challenge was made between you and your brother as you ran, Hermona had started to fall behind, but the two of you had yet to tap into the energy you had stored up. When you two jumped over a fairly big log you both took off glancing at each other from the corner of your eyes. He pulled ahead of you, and started to gain a fair lead you waited though staying back still reserving some of your energy. Once he was about ten feet in front of you, you pushed your feet against the ground hard, your claws digging into the dirt for added traction. You felt like you were flying as you passed him, literally leaving him the dust, your heart pounded in your chest, tongue lolling out of your mouth, the scenery passing by you at such a fast pace almost blurring together. You gave a fairly loud yip trying to goad your brother to catch you, but he couldn’t you were just to fast for him. When you looked back you saw that he or Harmona were no where in sight and you stopped waiting for them to catch up, some while later the came into view trotting at a steady pace while you sta there and panted.

“Becoming slow in your old age?” You asked your brother laughing at him a bit, he just rolled his eyes as Hermona joined in on the laughing . “If I’m old you are too remember you are only a few minutes younger than I am.” He said a bit grumpily since you beat him, but when it came to running you always did, just like he beat you when it came to brute strength and force. When you finally got into the packs territory you were immediately greeted by the others, happy and excited yips, licks to cheeks, and chins. Though every one made sure to show your brother great respect as the greeted him and Hermona, they respected you too but as much as your brother. Finally the crowed of excited wolves parted letting Jagara through, you hated her, she may have looked just like her sister but they were far different. She greeted your brother and Hermona respect fully, though when she got to you she actually had the nerve to hold her head up higher, along with her tail up as well, staking that she was of higher rank than you! A growl ripped it’s self from your throat making everyone stop and things fall silent. You drew your self up to your full height, fur standing on end hackles raised, and lips pulled back showing ever white sharp gleaming tooth. “What do you think you are doing Jagara?” You asked harshly while you loomed over her, yet she didn’t back down, still disrespecting you! “Coming to g-ah! Rrrrrear” You didn’t let her finish as you lunged at her, maw wide open while you snarled viciously slamming into her, knocking her over as you made a move to get her throat yet she evaded the attack narrowly, getting to her feet snarling.

Jagara knew that if she stood up to you like that you would attack to put her in her place, and show your dominance over her, everyone else knew this too. This time it was Jagara who lunged first, and you took no time and springing forward either, though you made sure to stay lower than her, because she would be open in mid air like this. Your jaws slowly wrapped around her throat, you had the upper hand like this as you knocked her back but never letting your tight grip on her throat go, had it been much tighter you would have punctured her skin. You wanted so badly to rip her throat out but you didn’t you knew that that would cause disruption in the pack, and other would fight for her spot. “Submit.” You growled out a bit muffled as she squirmed a bit, and you ever so slightly tightened your jaws making them puncture her skin, you could taste the blood that started to pour into your mouth as you bit down. She whimpered in submission as she stopped her wriggling, much to your pleasure, and you let her go hovering over her das if daring her to try something else. Blood dripped down your chin as you watched her go belly up and show submission, before flipping over and scooting across the floor ears down head extremely low, her tail would have been between her legs had she not been so close to the ground. Giving your chin a quick lick you accepted her signs of submission to you. “Remember your place Jagara next time I wont be so nice.” You snarled before turning your back to her, some of the other wolves parted for you as you started to walk off.

“(Your name) where are you going?” Your brother asked and you stopped turning to him, before respectfully replying. “I’m going for a walk I will be back in at the den before sun rise.” Your brother nodded to show he under stood and you could go, then with that you walked out of view. “Jagara you shouldn’t have challenged her like that.” Your brother said mildly, she nodded though in her mind she was thinking one thing. ‘Just wait (your name) You’ll get what’s coming to you.’ After that she followed the rest of the pack back to the den.
