Yaw! With formalities out of the way, I can now explain a few things…okay, one: This story does indeed contain lemons and Limes in future chapters. Therefore, it is advised that if you are reading this story, that you are over the age of 15. Two: I wrote the following sequences with help from Purple Pebbles who has helped me every bit of the way. And last of all: The length of this chapter is a one time thing…think of it as a teaser, and it will become longer…2000-3000 words longer that is!

“I’m working then, but I’m free the next day…”
“Are you asking me out on a date?”
“…maybe…or maybe I’m just asking you out as friends…”
“Why should I believe that? We’ve been ‘friends’ for some time now.”
The person on the other end of the line laughed “Yes…I know…meet me at the Yumei Café at 12 then?”
“Alright then…see you later.”
“Bye…”
“Bye.”
Putting the phone down on the hook, the blonde took a deep breath. She would’ve passed out then and there if she had reminded herself to keep breathing…
‘Pick up-pick up- pick up-’
“Hnn…hello?”
“Hi, Joe? It’s me, Françoise!”
“Oh… hi, what’s up?”
He’d sounded so tired…she almost felt guilty for waking him. But it was soon replaced with joy as it got onto the topic of their ‘friendship’. G.B was right; all it needed was a push in the right direction.
Before it had been “I’m too busy trying to save the world for romance…’ or ‘it can wait!’ But it couldn’t. Being roasted, but up, banged up and sent hurtling towards earth had taught them both the lesson; never say ‘later.’
For some reason or another, Joe had up and left after 3 months after Black Ghost’s defeat, leaving them all confused. What baffled them further was when he dropped straight off the map, never surfacing once until currently, which had been 2 months ago. He’d been missing for a little over a year scaring all of them into thinking someone had killed.
But, a rainy night phone call changed all of it…
They’d met the next day. Françoise couldn’t help but stare at him. He seemed to look older; about 23 maybe? His hair was more relaxed, his skin slight more tanned and a small, thing scar ran not even a quarter around his neck. After squeezing the life out of him and gaining the attention of those around them, he’d offered her lunch.
How could she say no?
Confronting him proved useless however. All had gone well until she asked where he’d been. He became snappy, sarcastic and his ruby eyes narrowed. He apologized for it later…but something wasn’t right. Not once had he ever done that in the time she’d known him. Something had definitely changed, but she wouldn’t, couldn’t be able to figure it out own her own. After listening to her babble on about studying dance and teaching a rather large class of ballet, he’d jotted down his phone and address and had given it too her.
She told the others an hour after she’d gotten home. They all agreed it didn’t really sound like him. But keeping in constant touch, Françoise soon found out that whatever he was doing for a living was paying extremely well. One day, he showed up in a red Porsche, the next time, a week later, he’d shown up in a black BMW convertible.

Sighing to herself, Françoise walked towards the front door of her apartment, keys and purse in hand, and out to her car. She needed new clothes for tomorrow. That and retail therapy always made her feel better.
