Forbidden Heartbreak
AN: For those who might remind me, I wrote a story a year ago. I got some great reviews and emails asking for my story. I never got the chance to ask the original author of "Brotherly Love" if I could continue her work, so I was suspended. Not long ago, I got an email from Sweet Jane, and she said she was alright if I post my work. Please read her work before getting to mine.

I want this story to be sweet and romantic, so I hope my readers will enjoy ^___^

It was just minutes after Sakura and Touya had sex. Sakura put her pajamas back on and followed Touya to the dining room. Both felt completely uncomfortable, but they both knew they were still brother and sister, and like it or not, they lived together.
They sat across from each other at the table, both eating pancakes. Touya knew it was her favorite, so he made some for her. He kept a bright smile and he had a certain cheer in his attitude. Needless to say, this was unusual for Touya. Usually, he was distant like he was grumpy.
In fact, he was acting a lot differently than what Sakura was used to. Are all boys like this after they get laid? Even from their sister?!
At the moment, they couldn't even look in each other's eyes. They felt embarrassed, ashamed from what they just did. Sakura felt ashamed for playing with herself without knowing for sure she was alone. Touya felt guilty for giving in so easily to temptation and violating his own sister in the process. All aside, they tried their best to act like nothing was wrong.
However, they both acted different towards each other, and this became clear in time…
~
"Are you thirsty, Sakura-chan?" Touya asked, a small smile on his lips.
The question got Sakura off guard, for several reasons. For one, she was completely zoned out in her own thoughts, and also, he was acting very friendly with her, in a way Sakura wasn't use to.
"Umm... yes, I am..." She finally answered with a small nod.
Without saying another word, Touya got up from his seat and went into the kitchen. Just moments later, he came back with a pitcher of fresh orange juice, along with a glass. Placing the glass next to her plate, he poured her some orange juice. After returning the pitcher, he rubbed the top of her head again as he returned, saying "There you are, squirt," as he returned to his seat.
Sakura was speechless.
"Uhh... Th-Thank you, Onii-chan," She managed to say above a whisper. 'Why did he...' was all Sakura could think of. 'Was he just being nice? When was the last time he did anything for me?!'
She was confused, but she also knew the answer. Or… so she thought. 'Does he feel guilty? Or... does he love me?'
That last question somehow echoed in her mind. She was still for a moment before finally shaking her head. ‘Oh, come on Sakura, get on the ball!’
She shut herself up, realizing she was making a huge deal out of a polite gesture.
‘I mean, he poured me a drink, for crying out loud!! Who cares?! It means nothing, it shows nothing…’ Sakura kept thinking. No matter how hard she tried, it kept getting worse.
She was once again shaken from her thoughts by the sound of Touya's fork dropping on his plate. He had just finished his breakfast, when Sakura had barely nibbled on hers. He took his plate into the kitchen, acting as casual as any other day.
"I got work late tonight," Touya told her, causing Sakura's heart to sink into her stomach.
'So that's why he was home... he took the afternoon shift...' Sakura thought, suddenly feeling terrible. Had she waited, this entire problem would never have happened. She began to feel perverted.
'Why me?!'
"For now, I'm heading to Yuki's. He said he had something to show me. Like to tag along?" He asked as he kicked on his shoes by the front door.
Sakura would normally jump at the offer, but she hesitated.
"N-No, you go on ahead. I'm just… going to...” Her voice trailed off as she looked for the appropriate words. “Hang around," She finally answered, lowering her gaze.
Touya just shrugged, said his usual goodbyes, and left.
~
'Why did I stay behind?' She kept asking herself after Touya left. She closed her eyes and thought of Yuki, his usual bright smile and his cute face when he greeted her. His warm touch when he placed a hand on her shoulder...
But… she felt nothing.
Nothing would sound a little harsh, but her emotions for Yuki were not the same…
'Yuki will always have my heart… but why don't I feel for him like I did before? The mere mention of his name got me excited an hour ago. But now, I'd rather stay home than see him!! What’s wrong with me?!’
She closed her eyes tightly and decided to think one thought at a time. She went back to her thoughts about Touya. Did he love her? If he didn’t, would he had done what he did?
'Am I just over thinking this? I mean, all Touya did was pour me juice. It doesn't mean anything... right? And today's my day off. I'm just in a lazy mood, is all... right?'
Questions like that kept appearing in Sakura's head. So much so, it gave her a headache. She continued to think as she enjoyed her pancakes, finding it easier to eat without Touya watching her.
'It goes without saying we can't tell what happened to anyone. And I doubt it'll ever happen again. I mean, he's my brother! I love him, but...' Her thoughts trailed off from there and her cheeks reddened. These emotions were so new and confusing. Did she love her brother? Like, beyond siblings? And did Touya feel the same way? Everything was getting more complicated, when it seemed so simple!
As she washed the dishes, she wondered if she should ask Kero for advice. She quickly decided against it.
'How on earth could he help?! He can't even help me with simple math!!' She cursed herself. But as she washed the dishes, another thought came to mind:
“Wait... the Clow Cards!” She spoke to herself, stopping everything she was doing. She quickly ran back to her room, opening her desk drawer and retrieving the pink cards. Of course, they were now known as Sakura Cards, but she couldn't help but call them Clow Cards. She knew the cards told fortunes and they never lied. She had never done a fortune such as this, but they were her cards, and most certainly worth a try.
After a brief shuffle, she laid the cards out in front of her in a perfect stack. Hovering her hand over the deck, she closed her eyes and began winging a chant. "Cards under my power, I seek your guidance..." She breathed. "Who do I love most?"
She felt her powers affecting the order of the cards. With one smooth motion, with her eye’s still shut, she flipped over the top card of the deck.
'It's the Jump card... Yukito's name means snow rabbit, so it's got to be Jump!'
With confidence, she opened her eyes, so sure as to see the Jump card. But to her surprise, it was Flower. Not Jump, representing Yuki. Flower... representing Touya...
'...Touya... means peach blossoms...' That one thought echoed in her mind again and again. 'But... how? What Touya did… happened so fast... how can that affect my heart like this? Does this mean I don't love Yuki? Or... do I just love Touya more?' She asked herself, staring at the card that represented her forbidden love for her brother…
