Sanzo had lied. He had lied to himself, but more importantly he had lied to Gojyo.
He had told Gojyo that he was the first one that Sanzo had been intimate with. But the unfortunate fact was Gojyo was not the first but he was going to make damn sure that the red head was going to be the last.
Quite early on Sanzo knew he was an easy target. A child, traveling alone in the big vast world. The only deterrent was his now very familiar Smith and Wesson. He had learned that when cornered and forced to do something unsavory there was a handy little trick that saved a lot of heartbreak. When in that position, and if there was only one assailant, a very hard bite would kill the darkest lust of any man who would try to use his mouth to satisfy their disgusting, lustful urges. This had one drawback. If there were more than one, the man's 'partners' would beat him senseless and do whatever they wanted to the tender child.
So yes! Sanzo had lied to Gojyo He wanted to spare his lover the agony of his past. He, himself did not care to think about it.
He truly did love the long legged, red haired half breed to the depths of his soul. And took quiet solace that Gojyo loved him back, even if he suspected that Sanzo was lying.
It made Sanzo happy to wake up in his lovers strong arms each morning. It made the lie much more bearable.
