Chapter one - A memory from the past
"Tohru! hunny come here I have someone I want you to meet." The woman called as she stepped into her home, a little girl came around the corner.
"Welcome home mommy."Tohru said with a smile.
"I want you to meet someone Tohru," She said as she stepped aside reveling a small orange haired boy shyly standing behind her mother. "Tohru this is Kyo he wanted to me you." Tohru smiled and walked up to him holding out her hand.
"I'm Tohru wanna be friends" She asked still smiling. Kyo took her hand and smiled
"Yes" Was all he simply said.
The two of them became fast friends and played together almost everyday. Kyo would even go to visit Tohru while her mom was still at work so that Tohru wouldn't be lonely. One day while the two played Tohru's mother was at work and Kyo had come in through the window to play with Tohru, before this day she had never hugged him before at all, but today when he came to visit her she grabbed hold of him and hugged him saying thank you for being her friend and always being there for her when ever she got lost, but before she could even start her sentence Kyo was gone and in his play was a cute lil orange kitten. Tohru was shocked "Oh no what....what happen!" Tohru said. Kyo turned to run away "No! don't go!" Tohru almost cried, Kyo stopped and turned to look at her.
"I am still me, but this is my curse I am a cat it is my familys curse its ok if you don't like me anymore." Kyo said as he turned to leave again.
"Kyo don't leave me please I still like you I could never not like you. Please stay here and stay my friend." Tohru pleaded as he transformed back into a little boy. He quickly grabed his close and put them back on. He turns back towards Tohru.
"Do you really still wanna be my friend?" Kyo asked.
"Yes of course I do, I like Kyo, I want Kyo to be my friend forever." Tohru said smiling and holding out her hand again. Kyo took her hand again and smiled himself. "You have to keep this secret you cant tell anyone about me being like this please?"
"I promise, but can I hug you when no one is around would that be ok?" Tohru asks. Kyo smiles.
"Yea I suppose that will be ok." Kyo said, surprised that she would want that. Tohrus mom came home soon after they made their promise. Tohrus mom walks into the living room and both children greeted her.
"Welcome home" Tohru and Kyo say at the same time smiling, Tohrus mother smiled.
"You two hungry lets have a snack." Her mom said. "Have you been here the whole time Kyo?" Kyo nodded as he took Tohrus hand and they followed her mom into the kitchen as she got a snack ready. When Kyo left he promised to be back the next day to play with Tohru.
When Kyo came to play with Tohru he found her mother outside frantic. "Whats wrong Kyoko?" Kyo asked.
"Tohru is missing I cant find her!." Kyoko said. Kyos eyes became wide,
"I will go find her ill bring her back. I will protect her I promise." Kyo said and turned and ran to find Tohru. He ran and ran for a lil over an hour, and when he returned to tell Kyoko that he is sorry that he couldn't find Tohru, Kyoko was standing there holding a hat and smiling.
"Tohru is back, a little boy lead her home." Kyoko said. Kyo was looking at the hat. "Do you know this hat?"
"No I don't anything he touches I don't want anymore I hate him!" Kyo said angrily.
"But he brought Tohru back so doesn't that make him nice?" Kyoko said kneeling down.
"No! I hate him he doesn't have to try for anything he gets everything he wants I hate him!"
"Kyo all that should matter is that he brought our Tohru home." Kyoko said.
"Your stupid! I hate him I don't care I hate him!" Kyo turned and ran away, and never came to play with Tohru again after that day. Kyoko walked back inside. Smiling at Tohru and handed her the hat.
"I just saw Kyo, I don't know if he will be back he seemed really man about the boy who left you this hat. I also think this hat was Kyos." Kyoko told her. Tohru took the hat and held it close to her heart and cried.
