“Mina….you need a boyfriend.”

“What kind of response is that Artie?”

“Well….being that I have daughter of my own…-”

“Artemis…Diana isn’t going to be around for another couple ce-”

“I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to gyrating against poles by night and volley-ball playing by day...How do you find time for your studies?” Artemis complained for the umpteenth time to his charge. Although she’s already 19 and well into college with the other girls and can make her own decisions, Artemis still feels the need to redirect her on her decisions.

“Artemis, please, I don’t have time for this talk again. It’s borderline irritating.” Mina said rolling her eyes, as she searched for her duffle bag. She’s going be late for work again! Which wasn’t out of the norm her. But she was really trying to get there on time.
“I have to work and pay for this apartment. You already know mom & dad have put me on restrictions. They’re only gonna pay for school. I have to get the mula for other stuff by myself.”

“Mina you’re a smart girl, I’m sure you and the scouts can come up with something.” Artemis aspirated. He was very upset tonight, he didn’t want Mina to go out there tonight. He had bad vibes. Very bad ones.

“(sigh) Artemis. There are no more scouts hon. Crystal Tokyo is in the distant future, and for now we’re just ordinary girls. And please don’t mention Serena. Her and Darien are living it up, not that I’m angry or anything, but they’re married. The princess deserves her ever after. But I’m sure none of the stories ever mentioned the soldiers getting one.” Mina explained as she found her duffle bag and stuffed some toiletries in it.

“Oh Mina, I’ve never heard you speak like this before. You’re also a princess of your right! You know this!” Artemis shouted. “This occupation is turning you into something you are not!...boyfriend or protector whatever, you need one, now more than ever.”

“Artemis, I know you’re worried about me and I know how much you care. And I understand it all…But Artemis, this is just what it is. I’m doing my best to make it work. Now please don’t wait up, I know you Luna have a breakfast dates in the morning.” Mina said with a smirk, as she winked at him and headed to the door.

“I will pray to the Goddess of Venus! I’ve never done it before but I will! She’ll hear, and you’ll have to take on what happens when she gets involved!” Artemis threatened.

“Artemis…If your trying get to damper my belief system. It ain’t gonna work kitty cat!” Mina said as she went thru the door and closed it behind.
“Besides, she hasn’t really listened when I did it.”

Mina decided to take the stairs because sometimes the elevator didn’t work at the complex she lived in. She was on the fifth floor. Which was something she was thankful for because when she originally moved in, she was on the 10th. By the time she reached downstairs, she was winded.
Mina is in her third year in college. Tokyo U wasn’t interested in her academically, although she was strong in sports.( volleyball being key) her entrance exam scores wasn’t what they wanted. But that didn’t stop her she still got into her third choice school. It wasn’t as popular is Tokyo university. But it still held merit, even Serena got in. Darien made her study until her brain was sore. Rei & Amy got into Tokyo University. While she, Serena and Lita got into Genshin University. It’s so diverse. All the girls had their lives ahead of them, things they wanted to do, places they wanted to go. Their first year was a mess. They spent so much time together because it was hard dealing with new people that came from other countries that didn’t speak Japanese. Although Mina was fluent in a least 3 languages, she and Amy were ok. The other girls…not so much.
With the NegaForce in check, helping Sailor Galaxia was the key to keeping the negaforce from influencing other people in all parts of the other universes.
Apparently, it was taking over other galaxies and their home galaxy was in last stop to complete domination. HAH! No way. The scouts have helped so many others the last past 5 years, we finally got a break to live our lives.
Serena and Darien married right after High school. Those two just couldn’t wait any longer. But with all the time line disturbances in the past, nothing is set in stone anymore. Apparently we’re all still waiting on the silver crystal to completely wake up. Rei was always wondering how long the dumb thing has been asleep!
What isn’t said though, is what happens to the Sailor Scouts. Mina was always for justice and honor, and in for a good fight against evil. But it still stung that only the moon princess gets her hearts desire.
Everyone slowly started get their memories back from their past times in Silver Millennium. And all the girls are keeping secrets! Mina can tell. Heck she has some of her own! But the hardest thing was watching your home kingdom, shit your planet be decimated while fighting to protect earth & the moon. It gave her nightmares.

Her parents kept her on a short leash since her grades weren’t so good. Not like they ever were spectacular. But Mina was on her own with everything but school. It’s not like she didn’t try to find a so-called ‘decent’ job. She tried, but either the pay wasn’t enough, or they didn’t work out with her schedule at school. She wanted to be counselor! She found she was good at talking to people especially children & teenagers. When she was volunteering for scholarship money, she joined a big brother program at a school. And she had a great time with them. The teenagers were the hardest nut to crack, but she liked the challenge it presented, and wanted to get to know them better. So she started majoring in psychology & social services.
She never spoke with her parents abut her aspirations nor Artemis, the other girls are out there doing their own thing. Amy still on track to be a doctor, Lita a chef, Rei’s having trouble with her grandfather, she wants to write music, she has a natural talent for it, but gramps wants her to keep to tradition and be a priestess for the shrine. It puts a lot of pressure on her because gramps isn’t doing so well sometimes. And Serena…..well…..no one knows what she’s doing. Mina tries to call her every Friday to see if she wants to go out for a concert or something.

Finally reaching the bottom of the stairs, Mina locks the front door to the building with her key.
“Damn it! I forgot my mope head at school today! I’m sooo in the dog house!” Mina snapped as she jogged to work. Which was at least 3 miles away.
Lita gave everyone a ride today in her jeep.
“Well at least I’ll be warmed up for my set.”

Mina got the job working at “Ce Ce’s Big V” almost 4 months ago. Her internship at a law office fell thru when her boss couldn’t take no for an answer. One of her teachers worked so hard to get her that job. It was a huge eye opener for Mina. And it created a chasm in her heart. “This is the world I fought so hard to protect? I’ve lost my life more than twice for that huge float rock!” She’d snap.
Since then she wasn’t able to call upon her powers. She used to love to scry at the constellations and look in on Venus, secretly keeping her planets rotations in check and life preserved. She didn’t know if the other girls did the same. She was princess of Venus, and she’d not let her planet stay baron forever!
At times she’d feel the presence of the Goddess, but not much anymore. It seems she was upset with Mina somehow. But Mina couldn’t let pride rule out, she had goals, she wanted a life. She’d sworn to protect the moon princess, …but no one is to protect her. Just thinking about these things just makes her more sad and depressed. She just wanted to go to work, get her tips and go back home. Rent was almost due, and she needed just a bit more to make it even.

By the time Mina got to work she was very winded, and didn’t notice a set of eyes watching her every move.

“Ok I’m here!” She panted. “Whew! I’m gonna need shower before getting up there!”

“Hold on there!” The bouncer walked in front of her blocking the entrance. “You’re late again Cherry.”
Mina smirked. She always smirked when they called her by her stage name which was “Cherry Bomb”. The owner her boss named her that. Tim Finnegan, came from Rhode Island, New York. There was no telling what he was doing in Japan.
“Dick, come on your making it worse by holding me up.” Mina frowned.
“You know the rules. When your late you check with the boss before your head in.” Dick the “Dick” pointed to east of the building which was the entrance to Tim’s office.

“Great. Thanks ‘Dick’!” Mina sneered. As she walked the walk of doom to her bosses office. “I hope he doesn’t fire me. I’m in sooo much trouble.”

As she opened the door, she felt eyes on her back, she turned around, but saw nothing.
“Hmmm, must be my imagination.”

“Cherry! Why am I not surprised?” Tim said as Mina closed the door behind her.

“Tim it’s no my fault, I forgot my ride at school this afternoon and had to jog it here.” Mina explained.

“Sounds like a personal problem.” Tim smirked. “You know Mina, I really like you. That’s why you still work here. Always late, but you still get here, never calling in sick. I know you’re still a student. So let’s just get that out of the way huh? Work full-time for me.”

“Thank you, Tim. But I can’t do that, school is important to me. And my folks would disown me if I quit school.” Mina explained.

“I’ll give you a raise. You’re almost at that six month mark anyhow. Mina, you’re good for my business!” Tim grinned. “Your flare, your spunk. Your bring something fresh to work every shift, and I’ve been wracking in the doe since you started.”

“Uh…ok. I’m glad your business is booming. But I still can’t do that.” Mina explained feeling very uncomfortable after hearing her boss go on about her performances. “Eek Gawds! Is he watching my performances? By the way he’s been looking at me I think that’s a yes. This is bad, I might have to look for another job, this is getting way to deep for me”

“Ok, I’ll ask only one more time in the future. Go on in there and shake your money maker!” Tim said. “You’re my star Mina!”

Mina felt her stomach drop when he patted her bottom as she walked by his desk.
