I still don't own anything except the non-canon villains. I once again may be taking more liberties with this part when it comes to series canon. I'm invoking author's privilege for this one.

She could feel their gazes upon her. Most looked upon her with disdain while the minority looked at her with sympathy.
"Yelan, the boy's task was only to bring the cards back home. Failing this you tell the boy to stay and assist the new card mistress. After the cards were all transformed you once again tell him to stay because of your so-called dark visions. His unforgivable mistake of falling for this Sakura will bring a impurity to the bloodline that cannot be tolerated. You have a choice to make. Either you tell the boy to return home, or we will have to forcibly make the boy come home. This also includes Meilin." the head elder says. The majority of the men agreed while some weren't sure of this decision.
"The threat of Sian Reed is too great for the card mistress to handle on her own. Why would you make such a decision?" Yelan asks now beginning to realize why her late husband hated these men.
"He failed at his task to return the cards back to their rightful place. We now know that we sent someone too weak to handle such a task. We will not allow him to fight Sian Reed. He is the only one that can provide an heir to continue the blood line."
"Head elder please! If Sian gets his hands on the cards he'll be...,"
"Enough! I tire of your babbling Yelan."
"Why are we being so hasty in bringing the boy back.? Sian's main goal is to get rid of Clow's legacy. Even if we bring the boy home Sian could attack us. There's no one among us that can defend against him." a second of the elders spoke out. This particular elder understood the head elder's concerns, but Sian was too powerful even for the members of this family.
"My decision is final. In fact, it was made last night." the head elder says. There were cries of outrage from the more in lighten minority who understood what Sian could be capable of.
"What have you done?" Yelan asks now concerned for her son's safety.
"I've gathered our family's best fighters and told them to retrieve Lee Shaoran. I told them to rough him up a bit, but they do have specific instructions not to kill him. Meilin is also to be brought back as well." the head elder says smirking.
"You can't do this! You'll damn us all!" the second says furious.
"Be silent or he may order your tongue cut out." a third, clearly on the head elder's side, says sneering.

"He's good." Madison says as her new camera(1) films Josh. "And this camera that he built for me is just way too cool."
"You would think that his opponent would give up instead of continuing to play him." Lee states seeing Josh's opponent agree to another double or nothing game.
"It's the only sport that he's good at...,if you can call pool a sport." Wulf says watching Josh go to work yet again.
"I guess that's the advantage of being a super genius." Sakura adds.
"He may have more intelligence than the rest of Readington, but he still needs some common sense knocked into his head." Meilin says.
"Hey, these super genius types all have some sort of a quirk to them." Madison says defending Josh.
"Hey, looks like Madison is coming around guys." Sakura says and Madison blushes. As this was going on, Josh had won again, but his opponent wasn't in the mood to be a good loser.
"How the hell can a scrawny kid like you be that damn good?! You've been cheating haven't you?!" he asks with his face turning red.
"I play fair. You aren't as good as you think you are." Josh responds.
Back at the table where the rest of the group were, Wulf notices the impending trouble.
"Uh oh, looks like he's not going to be a good loser." Wulf says starting to make his way over to Josh.
"I'm not going to...," the sore loser begins to rant, but he is stopped when he sees Wulf coming from behind Josh.
"Is there a problem?" Wulf asks looking over at the older pool player.
"No...,no problem. I was just about to pay the kid." the guy says reaching into his pocket and handing Josh the money. Josh counts and recounts it and notices an error.
"You still owe me another five." Josh states counting it again and nods.
"Hey...,you had to have cheated." the guy says backing up.
"It would be advisable for you to just hand over the five. It's not worth it." Josh says.
Here...," he stutters and hands over the rest of the money.
"Thank you." Josh says and he and Wulf return to their friends.

Meilin and Lee were leisurely making their way back to their apartment building. It had been good to spend time with their friends when their lives weren't on the line. Then the hairs on the back of Lee's neck tingled.
"All right, come out! I know you're there!" Lee calls out into the night. Meilin looks at Lee to see if he'd gone crazy, but then she saw them. It was a group of a half dozen men or so dressed in dark ninja outfits. The only distinctive markings she could make out was their family crest embroidered on each one of their chests.
"Lee Shaoran, Meilin Rae, by orders of the elders you are hereby ordered to return home immediately. Failure to comply will lead to bodily harm." one of the fighters says.
"You've got to be kidding me. Do you guys know who you're dealing with?!" Meilin says getting herself into a fighting stance.
"We know how you were trained, Meilin Rae, that's why the best were sent to retrieve you." the apparent leader says as they surround the two young heroes.

"You can't be serious, mistress." Wei says to Yelan over the phone.
"I wish I wasn't, Wei. Where are they now?" Yelan asks.
"They are out with their friends."
"When are they due to come back?"
Wei looks at the clock and frowns. "They are ten minutes late."
"Get in contact with their friends. Meilin may have superior fighting skill, but these ninjas have been told to do bodily harm if necessary."
"Yes, mistress." Wei replies and cuts the connection.

"Damn it, these guys are better than I thought!" Meilin says trying to hold her own against multiple enemies. She was good and with her boyfriend's extra boost of strength and durability she was managing to stay on her feet.
"I don't know how long I can keep this up! I didn't have as much training in hand to hand as you did! Lee yells out starting to tire out. He dare not use his magic for fear of killing one of them. They were just following orders from misguided fools. Then the attacking force felt needles raining down from the sky. Their tough clothing protected them from getting damage, but it made them scatter.
"I heard that you guys might be in trouble." Josh says landing between the tired pair.
"How did you...?" Lee asks but the familiar battle cry of Wulf interrupts him. The ninjas try to stop the charging boy, but he was deep in his berserker mode. As the ninjas try to regroup, Josh starts to pick them off one at a time with a new weapon.
"What is that?" Lee says regaining his breath.
"A laser blaster set at stun. The needles aren't my only non-lethal weapon." Josh explains picking off another attacker. In a matter of moments all of the ninjas were stunned or knocked out. Wulf looks around trying to find anymore opponents when he felt a slap from Meilin.
"Thanks," Wulf says shaking his head as he comes out of his berserker state.
"All right, how did the two of you know that we were in trouble?" Lee asks.
"Wei called the two of us. Unfortunately, Sakura couldn't get away. I'm guessing that Tory is keeping her from sneaking off to see you." Josh answers.
"Thanks, guys." Meilin says giving an appreciative look towards Wulf who smiles back at her.

"What! You've got to be kidding! How could they just do this, mother? Don't they know how dangerous Sian is?" Lee says to his mother over the phone.
"They either don't know or don't care how powerful Sian is." Yelan replies.
"What do they want from us, Aunt Yelan?" Meilin asks.
"Most likely they want the two of you to continue your training at home. The head elder probably has some sort of plan to force the two of you to marry and conceive a child." Yelan answers.
"What do you want us to do, mother?" Lee asks.
"You will stay in Readington. returning home will not do anyone any good. I give the two of you permission to tell your allies everything." Yelan says. Saying their good-byes, Lee hangs up the phone. The two decided they needed to get some sleep.

"No good. This is no good Spinner." Eli states as he finishes watching the events that just took place.
"Why not go back to Readington now, master?" Spinner asks.
"Not yet Spinner. I want Sian to think that he weakened me more than he thought he did. I want to come back on my terms not anyone else's. Let's just hope that Sian doesn't know about this latest development."

"I'm sorry I couldn't get to you last night." Sakura says lying in Lee's embrace. "Ever since Tory's graduation he has been keeping his undivided attention on me."
"It's all right, Sakura." Lee says letting his hand run up and down her back.
"Our family's elders certainly picked the best time to do this." Meilin bites out sarcastically.
"So why are they so desperate to get the two of you back home?" Madison asks. The six had found a quiet and secluded part of the park to have their discussion.
"I'm not sure if either one of us told you or Madison, Sakura, but me and Meilin are cousins." Lee starts. Seeing the two girls shake their heads Lee continues. "I'm the only male child born to my mother, therefore, I am obligated to produce an heir."
"To, as the elders put it, keep the lineage pure, they arranged the two of us to be married once Lee turned eighteen." Meilin continues. Then Lee picks up the story.
"Those plans had been made after my father's death. They, however, had found out that the seal of the Clow book would be broken in the future. My training began until the seal was broken and I was sent here." Lee explains. Then Meilin took it from there.
"When the elders found out that the one that broke the seal was a girl the elders became nervous. They were scared that Lee might fall for someone that didn't have any magical lineage. So, they sent me to make sure you wouldn't fall for Avalon. I wasn't told of this until I returned to help out when my grandmother became ill."
"I didn't know that." Lee says scowling. "So you see, they have been a controlling force in both our lives. I guess they didn't realize that destiny was on your side Sakura. They believe if your blood is wrong or if you aren't related to the right people you are nothing but dirt." Lee finishes.
"The sharks are circling and I don't like it." Wulf says. Meilin could tell that there was anger in his blue eyes.
"Hey!" a male voice calls out. Sakura winces knowing that Tory had found her again.
"Tory! I don't need a baby sitter." Sakura fumes out.
"I believe you do...,especially around that brat." Tory says giving Lee a death glare which Lee returns.
"What is your problem with my cousin anyway?" Meilin asks.
"I wouldn't have one if that brat would stay away from my sister." Tory says gritting his teeth.
"I know Lee and I know for a fact that he wouldn't do anything to hurt Sakura, so just back off Tory." Meilin says feeling her anger boiling up to the surface.
"I don't care how long you've known him. I just want him to stay away from my sister." Tory says pulling Sakura away from Lee.
"And I thought my father was overprotective," Josh quietly says to Madison.
"Tory has always been like that." Madison comments.
"I'm not a little girl anymore, Tory." Sakura says breaking away from Tory's grip.
"I'm not going to let that brat take advantage of you." Tory retorts grabbing her wrist again.
"Ok, I've had it. Now get this through your concrete block of a head you've got sitting atop your shoulders. My cousin couldn't hurt Sakura. He can't even stand anyone else trying to hurt her either. Meilin says now scowling at Tory.
"Either keep him away from my sister or stay out of it." Tory growls out. He wouldn't hit a girl, but Meilin was getting in his way of protecting Sakura.
"Tory, I don't need you scaring off every single guy that comes near me." Sakura says trying to defuse the situation.
"Yeah, that's Lee's job." Madison says quietly to Josh who covers his mouth as he laughs.
"Your too innocent and naive to be able to handle guys." Tory says reaching for Sakura again but she dodges.
"You just can't hand pick a boyfriend for me, Tory." Sakura says frustrated. Lee was trying to hold in his temper. He would not knock Tory's block off just because he was in the way of his and Sakura's love.
"I...,love...,her...,Avalon. If you can't handle that then that's your problem." Lee says still restraining himself.
"You're both too young to know what love means. You're just looking for a good time." Tory retorts back. That did it. It wasn't Lee who hit him but Meilin. She had slapped Tory's right cheek leaving an imprint on it.
"I hope that'll slap some sense into you!" Meilin shouts. Tory turns towards her and starts to approach her.
"Try anything and I'll give you more than just a slap!" Meilin shouts but it appeared that the overprotective brother wasn't listening to reason. Wulf knew she could handle herself, but after what he had learned today he was feeling a little protective himself.
"Uh oh, Wulf doesn't look happy. Tory better back down or Wulf will grind his bones into dust." Josh notes as Wulf stands between Tory and his girlfriend.
"Back down or you'll regret it." Wulf says with a quiet intensity in his voice.
"You better learn to muzzle her." Tory states.
"That was dumb. Provoking Wulf is just plain stupid." Josh says to Madison who nods. Wulf starts to move towards Tory, but he is restrained by Meilin.
"You better get out of here now, Tory! You made Wulf mad and you don't want to be around him when he's mad!" Meilin says trying to keep ahold of her boyfriend. Tory takes a good look at the one that had imposed himself between Meilin and himself. The boy appeared to be too tall to just be starting high school in the fall. Even though something was telling him not to do it, Tory wanted to see if the younger boy was as tough as that brat's cousin seemed to make him out as. Tory swings a punch at the blond. Meilin, shocked that Tory swung, let go of Wulf who caught the punch and squeezes Tory's hand.
"If you want to deal with your sister's relationship with Lee...,fine. If you have a problem with Lee...,that's fine too. If you want to get into a shouting match with Meilin...,you can do that as well. Meilin can handle herself, but I'm feeling a little overprotective myself, so if you want a piece of her you'll have to go through me." Wulf says applying more pressure to Tory's fist.
"All right, I'll back down this time, but I'm not promising I won't back down next time." Tory says and rubs his wrist in order to get circulation flowing back into it.
"Deal with Lee, not Meilin." Wulf fires back and Tory walks away.

"How could you fail?!" the head elder shouts to the leader of the group that had tried to capture Lee and Meilin.
"We had them, but their friends showed up." the leader states with his head bowed.
"How could they have found out about this?" the head elder asks.
"Most likely Yelan got word to them." a second of the elders answers calmly.
"Damn that woman! I thought that the death of her husband broke her to us." The headman states clearly frustrated.
"She's still a mother, head elder. She'll do anything to protect her son. Our ninjas will just have to catch Lee and Meilin off guard and away from their allies." the second says glaring at the humbled fighter standing in front of the head elder and his associates.
"We'll learn the terrain of the town and we'll be more efficient in capturing them, head elder." the ninja states.
"See that you do, or you will be punished severely." the head elder states threateningly.

1. This particular camera has features that only Josh could have put into it. It's first appearance is in "Counter Attack", taking place in the first arc of whiteshirt's story. It eventually has to be rebuilt due to the use of the kamikaze feature built into it.
