Chapter 10
Fight with Sesshy
“Are you Kihara, daughter of Kiato Kyuseishu?” he asked.
"Yup that's me!" I said a little annoyed.
"Ahhh! There you are Kiato. Nice to see you," the old man said.
"Hello there Totosai," Dad said.
"Hello, you were talking to me, and if you don't mind hurrying this along. I was in the middle of something important," I said getting very annoyed.
"Sorry. Kiato had me make some weapons for you and I came to deliver them," Totosai said.
"Oooooooh!" I said excitedly.
"There's a set of twin blades, a set of triple daggers, and a set of ten throwing stars." Totosai said, "The twin blades are Hinote (fire) and Gogyou (water), and daggers are Koudo (earth), Kaze (wind), and Kane (metal)."
"They're beautiful. I will take care of them with my life," I said carefully tying the weapons to my person.
"Well, now that I've done that I better get going before Sesshomaru tries to kill me for not making him a sword that will kill," Totosai said and promptly took to the skies and as far away as he could as fast as he could.
"Oowa-oowa! oowa-oowa! I got cool new weapons. Oowa-oowa! oowa-oowa!" I exclaimed doing a little dance.
"I'm glad you like them," Dad said.
"Thank you very much," I said then looked back toward where Sesshomaru had been. "Oh yeah I gotta talk to Lord Sesshomaru!"
I then started my flight toward Sesshomaru again. I landed a few feet from him since he drew the Tokijin.
"Lord Sesshomaru, I come in piece." I said.
"State your business," Sesshomaru said emotionless.
"I am Kihara, daughter of Kiato Kyuseishu, and I have a question for you," I said gesturing to Dad.
"You’re the daughter of Lord Kiato?" he asked stunned.
"Yes, she is my daughter," Dad said.
"Would you please tell me if you've seen a girl that looks like me named Kahiri?" I said.
"Yes, yes I have. She left me something to give you provided you answer a question correctly. That's you not your father. According to her, he is not allowed to help you at all," Sesshomaru said.
"Okay, what's the question?" I asked.
"What are the names of all of Naraku's incarnations?" he asked.
" . . . Hmm . . . let me think . . . Akago . . . Byrakuya . . . Goshinki . . . Hakudoshi . . . Juromaru . . . Kageromaru . . . Kagura . . . Kan'na . . . & . . . Muso?" I asked numbering them on my fingers.
"That's it. I really hate being a messenger so I also wish to know your strength before I give you the message," he said.
"I guess there's no better time than now to train," I said unsheathing my twin blades.
"Training, you dare mock the power of Lord Sesshomaru?" he asked outraged.
"No I just meant that I could get used to using my blades, and if it gets too out of hand Dad will jump in to make sure I don't get killed," I said.
Or that I don't kill you, I thought and Dad nodded.
I ran at Sesshomaru kinda like Inuyasha usually does, but when Sesshomaru dodged I jumped to the side and landed on his other side. I slowly got used to using my blades. After an hour it was like they were just extensions to my arms. I managed to dodge all of his attacks and land most of mine.
He used the Dragon Strike and I took flight and just skidded over the top of it before landing and slashing out with Hinote, leaving a slash on his back. He quickly retaliated by slashing at me with the Tokijin. I just barely evaded the attack by crossing my twin blades in front of me using them as a shield.
We battled for a few more hours and it ended in a draw. I had his head between my twin blades and he had the Tokijin at my stomach.
"Alright that's quite enough from both of you!" Dad called.
I stayed put knowing that the second I let my guard down Sesshomaru may well run me through.
"I said that's enough," Dad said again stepping between us and pushing our blades away from each other.
I slowly wiped both my blades and sheathed them, while Sesshomaru just slid the Tokijin back into his belt.
"So was that enough of a battle for you?" I asked.
"You have adequate skill, I'll give you that," Sesshomaru said,
"Adequate! I landed almost all of my attacks and you didn't land even one!" I yelled.
"Show more respect or forget about your clue," he said sternly.
I took a deep breath to cool myself down then said, "I'm sorry Lord Sesshomaru for my actions. Please forgive me."
"You're forgiven. Here, I hope it makes more since to you than it does to me," he said holding the paper out to me.
I walked over to get it and he pulled me into a light kiss, before placing the paper into my hand and walking away. I opened the note and read it.

"That seems just like her to send us all over the place just send us back home," I said exasperated.
"She would do that," Dad said.
"Well, good-bye Sesshomaru," I said waving over my shoulder.
We went to the well, jumped in, found the Sakura tree, opened our wings, and thought of home. I raced to our bedroom and checked it out.
There were lots of pics of her in a huge maple tree with a few Oaks, Cherries, and Elms around it.
I took off into the woods, found tree, and climbed the pre-made stairs.
"Hey, you finally made it!" Kahiri exclaimed flinging herself into me.
"Hello to you too," I said.
"Did you like my game?" she asked.
"I met a few people, kissed a few people, yelled at a few people, got yelled at by a few people, but other than that it was fun," I said feeling suddenly extremely exhausted.
"Are you okay Kihara?" she asked pulling back and holding my shoulders.
"I'm fine," I said, "I just haven't really slept in a while."
"When did you find out about your wings?" she asked concerned.
"When Dad originally found me," I said.
"And when was that?" she asked.
"About three weeks ago," I said.
"And how many days did you sleep?" she said starting to sound like Mom.
"Maybe three or four," I said.
"You're supposed to take it easy for at least a week," she told me.
"Well if it hadn't been for your stupid game I might have," I said getting rather grumpy.
“Was it really that stupid?” she asked.
“Well, not all of it, but parts of it,” I said.
“Oh really, what parts were?” she asked.
“The parts where I had to find the stupid clues, and then leave all of my new found friends behind,” I said a little agitated as I started feeling myself loosing energy fast.
“Oh, you made friends? Or was it more like lovers?” she asked.
“They were just friends,” I insisted still losing energy quickly.
“Well, I’m sorry I made you play that stupid game, but I simply had to see how well you would do with my test,” she said.
“Just so you know, I read the whole library in one day, and watched all the anime and movies in two; I passed the State Alchemist exam after reading the whole Central library the night before the written exam; I have far surpassed the fifth Hokage; and to top it all off, I got these totally awesome weapons from Totosai just a few hours ago,” I said feeling that I had maybe a fourth of my normal amount of energy left.
“That’s impressive. Can you recall any fact you’ve read and or seen at a moment’s notice?” she asked.
“Yup,” I said leaning against the wall for support, trying to save as much energy as possible.
“Okay then let’s see, does Kyo truly fall in love with Tohru, does Akito really tear down the cat’s room and tell Kyo he can live where ever he wishes, does Ed really love Winry or is it Mustang, is it Kagome or Kikyo that Inuyasha truly loves, does Winry like Ed or Al more, does Kagome like Hojo or Inuyasha, does Integra love Alucard, does Alucard love Seras or Integra, does Sakura end up with Sasuke, does Hinata end up with Naruto?” she asked.
“Yes, but only in the books; in their world I think he has more of a thing for either Yuki or Haru, and me. Yes, she does. It’s Winry in the books, but Fuehrer Mustang in their world. Kagome without a doubt; I ran into him once with Koga. Ed in the books, but since he's taken by Mustang in their world she settles for Al. Inuyasha, although, she tries to hide it. No she doesn't. He prefers Seras over Integra. As for the last two questions in the books you've got the couples right, but in their world I detected a little more same sex couples,” I said sliding down the wall because of my loss of energy.
“Wow! That’s impressive. Are you sure you don’t feel sleepy?” she asked.
“I’m . . . fine . . . I . . . don’t need . . . sleep . . . zzzzzz,” I said falling to my side and loosing the last of my energy and the battle against sleep.
