Ok, this is it, the last chapter! personally i hate it when i leave a fic were i had last chapter, sure it is done but...i just dont think it is complete. but what ever, anyway, enjoy!

One Year later…
KAY
It has been a year since Sano died, nearly 7 months since Misao killed herself in jail. The group just isn’t the same without them. We chose to remember them as we knew them, fun, youthful, intelligent, and friends for life.
Hiko, after months of badgering, has gotten Meg to move in with him (well into his room as we all share the same house), I think he is going to propose soon. Tsubame is soon to be six and calls Aoshi ‘Daddy’, she has him wrapped around her little finger, the minx. She gets to be more like all of us every day.
She is so proud that she is going to be a big sister soon. With in the next three weeks, her little sibling will be born. Aoshi and I have been married for eight months and three weeks, we think the honeymoon was when we got lucky.
Kenshin seems happy being the doting uncle and brother, while Yahiko plays at being older sibling to Mae, some things just might never change. As for everyone finding out that Mae is mine, well let’s just say that genetics show and she is growing into a mini-me and none of us would change her for the world.
I got to go back to school, I am now a history teacher at the local junior high school, and I also teach English, and Reading, to the same batch of 6th graders. And I married the most wonderful cop in the world. I almost had to beat the information out of him though. He can be very stubborn.
Aoshi had been an undercover cop when I meet him as well as Hiko. He had been hired by Meg and Ken to keep an eye on me and the men around me (on his off hours until had he had been assigned with his partner Hiko). Hiko had been assigned to School campus as the male students had this habit of disappearing, sadly enough, we know why. I think Meg and Ken always knew he would try to get me back. Don’t ask me how they managed to get a cop like Aoshi, but I am very happy they did. He is now a teacher at the academy.
We often see Saito, Aoshi and Hiko’s partner, and his wife Officer Tokio. They had just gotten married a few months ago. We were happy to welcome them into the fold even if he is a bit of and ass, she tempers him very nicely.
We have had the day to remember Sano and Mia, may they rest in peace. Speaking of remembering, I never did fill in that last gap, but with the help of my friends, I have a good idea of what happened, and I am happy with that.
Remember the Past, Live in the Present, Look forward to the Future! Now to live our lives as we will!
