"So, they're coming here huh?" the Ctarl general remarked reading over the sensor data.

"It appears so, I'm putting the fleet on yellow alert," the human general reported.

"Feh, I wish they'd hurry up and get here so we didn't have to wait."

The Terran general sighed. This new Ctarl general was far different from the last one. At times, he didn't seem to care about this war, then there were times that the Ctarl general wanted to kill every single Rorgan and Sith in the galaxy.

"Your brother is on com-channel 73," the female first officer on the general's ship came over the com-link. The general sighed and went into the Terran general's private office, with out permission and accept the transmission.

It's 'bout time you called."

"Your information about that general's daughter has upset that general."

"Bah, so? It ain't like he can do anything about it."

"Yes, well, you have a fleet's worth of men that would want to take her away from that human."

"And just what the fuck do you want me to do about that?"

"That general is just upset that I'm doing away with the old ways."

"Tell him to go suck on some raw fish."

The emperor sighed, "And how goes the war?"

"The bastards are coming here."

"Then shouldn't you be running combat drills?"

"Yeah yeah, I'm going," the general said and cut the transmission.

"I think we ought to throw Gene and his entire crew in a holding sell and put our own people on his ship," Duuz growled out.

"You know that the computer on the Outlaw star only recognizes Gene and his crew as its crew."

"Bah, that computer's memory can be wiped."

"Our people saw stuff on that ship that isn't on any other ship. The navigator has to be in a tank with some sort of bio-mural gel. Which means that the navigator isn't fully human. She's probably some sort of construct."

"Bah, so? That computer can do the same job."

"Don't let your personal feelings for Starwind cloud your judgement. Just how many of the grappler ships in this fleet have that much success to begin with?" Valeria asked and Duuz was silent. "That's what I thought."

888

"Where's the animal?" Gene teased Jim who glared at the red headed outlaw.

"In my quarters, taking a personal transmission," Jim growled.

"Man, you'd think with all the com-traffic that this fleet puts out that it would be impossible to take any call," Gene mused. Aisha stormed onto the bridge and took her seat.

Before Jim could say something to her, Melfina said, "Massive sub-ether signature detected."

"Here we go again," Gene said. "Go to grappler combat mood."

888

"Red alert!" the human general said. "All ships, prepare to engage the enemy."

888

"Defense systems armed, Valeria the tactical officer informed. Valeria nodded, the enemy came back into normal space and the battle began.

888

"Grrr...what are they made out of!?" Gene grunted as he strained against a Sith grappler ship. 'The Sith must be almost as strong as the Ctarl, or their grappler arms are just stronger in general.'

"Missiles coming from our tail!" Melfina shouted. Gene disengaged from the other ship and got out of the way.

"Who fired at us from behind?" Gene asked.

"Shit, it's the El Dorado," Jim swore.

"Where the hell did they come from?" Gene growled.

"They probably snuck into the fleet when the combat started," Suzuka said.

"Probably waited in sub-ether until the Sith and Rorgan showed up," Jim continued.

"Well, I guess these other bastards will have to wait!" Gene roared and engaged the MacDougall brothers.

888

"What is that idiot doing!" Duuz shouted.

"It appears a rouge ship is in our numbers." the tactical officer informed.

"Identify that ship," Duuz demanded.

"Sir, they have no transponder code," the officer replied and Duuz growled. It wasn't a fleet ship. Then, the station rocked as several ships attacked it.

"Duuz, get our ships ready. The defense grid can't keep this up! Valeria said.

888

"Squad 4, take some of the heat off of Angel Links! We can't lose the station!" the human general barked. Several ships engaged those that were trying to batter the station's defenses.

888

"Fuck! Plug that fucking hole!" the Ctarl general parked. The Sith and Rorgans were bound and determined to get through the line and get to the space station. The Ctarl ships try their best to stop the onslaught of enemy craft.

888

"Admiral, I don't think the station can take much more," the tactical officer informed.

"All hands, get to the ships, now!" Valeria barked out and all hands quickly made their way off the station and onto the ships. When Valeria's ship, the last one to launch, did so, the station broke in half and exploded.

888

With the explosion of the station, the Sith and Rorgan ships jumped back into Sub Ether. The human general slumped in his command chair.

"Hey, they are heading for the Farfallas system! Do we pursue them?" the Ctarls general asked.

"Valeria, did you manage to get all your people out?" the human general asked.

"Yes." she answered. If the loss of her command post had effected her, she wasn't showing it.

"Good, would you mind stopping that fight between the Outlaw Star and that unknown ship?" the general asked the Ctarl general.

"My pleasure."

888

"Damn you!" Gene growled. He was about to rant more when several energy blasts made the El Dorado back off and then jump back into sub-ether.

"Attention all ships, the enemy is heading for Farfallas. Prepare to go to Trans-ether," the general ordered. A cold sweat ran down both Jim and Gene's backs. The last time they were at Farfallas...well, neither of them wanted to remember that incident. Gene had a sickening feeling in his stomach, a feeling he never got on the bridge of the Outlaw Star, which meant, whatever awaited them at Farfallas wasn't going to be good.

888

The manager of Blue Heaven sweated. Both the president of the Earth Federation and the head of the Ctarl-Ctarl empire were making a demand that all the races had agreed upon not to do, turn Blue Heaven into a military complex.

"You will listen to me very carefully," the Ctarl emperor began, "the Sith and Rorgans didn't sign that treaty. This means that if any of the other races are at war with them then we can ask for permission to turn Blue Heaven into a military sanctuary."

"I must get in contact with the other governments," the manager said.

"Then I suggest you do so then," the Ctarl emperor said and the transmission ended.

888

"Ok, what made you wreck our room?" Jim asked.

"My father called," she began.

"Uh oh, what happened?"

"He ain't too happy with me marking you."

"Jim sighed and sat beside her and pulled her against him. She didn't cry, but, she did let out a meow that Jim swore to himself to never be the cause of. He reached and started rubbing her belly. She began to lightly purr and Jim smiled. That was a sound he liked to hear.
