Lee and Meilin wait at the main entrance of the high school. The two were waiting on their friends to get to the school.
"What do you want to bet that Sakura slept in late?" Meilin asks smirking at Lee.
"She didn't." Lee answers. Meilin rolls her eyes and then sees someone coming towards them at a high rate of speed.
"Hey, isn't that..., Josh?" she says seeing the boy genius skate his way towards them.
"Hey Josh, looks like those lessons with Sakura paid off." Lee comments as the other boy comes to a stop.
"It's a more efficient way to travel on the ground." he says putting his skates in his bag.
"Well, looks like you guys beat me here." Wulf says coming to the four.
"Well, where's she at Lee?" Meilin asks teasing him.
"I'm here guys!" Sakura says coming to a stop right next to Lee.
"See, I knew she didn't sleep in." Lee says to Meilin and winks at Sakura who smiles back at him.
"Well looks like I'm the last to show up this time." Madison calls out to the group.
"Not video taping this Madison?" Meilin asks.
"Stupid school rule...,I can't have a camera filming unless it's for school or I'm with the media." Madison complains.
"Let's go inside. Hopefully there isn't a senior welcoming committee." Wulf says and the six go into the building.

"Hey fresh meat, I'm talking to you!" a senior calls out. Leo turns to see who had called him such a childish name.
"My name is Leo punk. If you don't want me to break your arm I suggest you learn that name real fast." Leo says not in the best of moods.
"Oh really, I guess it's time for the fresh meat to go into the grinder." the large senior says but Leo swings and the older boy hits the ground.
"Next time, don't call me that or I'll do worse to you." Leo says walking away.

"You would think being seniors those guys would come up with something better than 'fresh meat' to call us." Josh says shaking his head.
"Who is this Mr. Greg Laurie anyway?" Meilin asks.
"Me and Madison met him right after Tory's graduation. He seems to be hard on students and everyone else." Sakura comments.
"Yep, plus we've got him for homeroom." Madison adds.
"And just where do you pieces of fresh meat think you're going?"
The six turn to see that they were being followed by a group of male seniors who looked like they were going to do something unkind to them.
"Y'know...,you guys must have been lucky to get to the twelfth grade with your small pea sized brains." Meilin says glaring at the roadblock that was in the middle of the hall.
"Oooh, look at what we've got here, boys. A feisty piece of female fresh meat. You girls can move along, we'll be seeing you later. As for you little boys you'll be put into the meat grinder." one of the seniors, obviously the leader, says smirking.
"I'd rather hang around trash than see your ugly faces again." Meilin spits out. The senior swings hoping to teach Meilin a lesson but his fist is stopped by a hand.
"You ought not to hit her because that would make me mad, and you don't want to see me mad." Wulf says putting pressure on the guy's wrist.
"Oh yeah, and why is that?" he growls trying to block out the pain.
"Trust me, I've known him for years now. He'll hurt you and anyone and anything else he can get his hands on when he's mad." Josh says moving closer to Madison.
"Hey! Break it up! The janitors don't need to clean blood off the floor on the first day of school. Get to class and learn something for once."
"Mr. Laurie...,we were just...," the first senior says but the teacher interrupts him.
"You were just starting a fight. Now, if you don't want to be cattle prodded to the principal's office you better get to homeroom now." he says tapping his cane on the floor.
"We've got another five minutes." a second speaks up. Mr. Laurie snaps his fingers and the bell rings.
"What was that about having five minutes? I think that you need to learn how to tell time." he says and the seniors disburse. "Now, for the freshmen clique, you're with me." he says making a motion with his cane to follow him.

"For the next four years the thirty-one of you...,wait, where's number thirty-one?"" Mr. Laurie asks the room of students. The class looks around to see that in fact there was an empty desk in the room. A knock on the door answers Mr. Laurie's question. To Lee's discomfort, Eli Moon walks into the room smiling.
"Sorry sir, I was detained by the principal and a bunch of seniors." Eli says apologetically.
"I'll forgive you just this once, but be late again and I'll have you recite the periodic table. That goes for anyone that is late to my homeroom or any of my classes. Now Moon, have a seat near the freshmen clique." Mr. Laurie says and Eli takes the desk near Sakura and her friends. Mr. Laurie pulls his chair from behind the desk and sits down.
"I don't see why we have to listen to a gimp teacher like you." Leo states glaring at the teacher.
"Leo," Mr. Laurie says smacking Leo's desk with his cane, "Leo Akurax Reed. Interesting name. You've been bouncing from school to school like a red rubber ball causing trouble wherever you end up. You will find out quickly that I will not take any crap from any of my students. You'll wish that I'd just give you detention instead of the punishments I'll cook up. Now, be quiet." he says bringing his cane back to his side. "Now, which of you have the misfortune of taking my General Sciences class this year?" He asks looking at the students. A good majority raise their hands. He notices that the few who were freshmen were in his room because they were repeating the ninth grade. "I see we've got some repeat offenders in here. Now which one of you...," he says looking around for a particular student, "Ah, you must be Mr. Karthing. I guess every good clique needs a genius. Now, why in the world would your father send you to public school with a brain like yours?"
"My father didn't want me to be sheltered like he had been, sir."
"Ah, so it's a social experiment. Moon, why did you go back to England for the summer and then decide to come back to Readington?"
"My guardians thought that I would benefit from continuing my education over here." Eli answers.
'Leo Akurax Reed?! You did catch that didn't you?' Lee sends to Sakura.
'Yes, that answers one of our questions. Now, are Sian and Sigma working together?" Sakura replies.
"All right, when I call your name come and pick up your first semester schedule." Mr. Laurie says and one by one the students pick up their schedules.

"I don't know what's worse, Having Leo in most of our classes or having to have Mr. Laurie for three and a half years of science and four years as our homeroom teacher." Wulf complains as the six sit to have lunch.
"I don't know about the rest of you but I'm going to hold off taking biology and health as long as I can. He knows I'm the smartest and probably will challenge me in classes that I'm weakest in." Josh says rubbing his temples.
"The super genius doesn't know everything...,stop the presses people." Meilin says smirking.
"Any branch of the life sciences give me problems. Oh, I could pass the classes with no problem, but it's Mr. Laurie that we're dealing with. He'll have me do assignments that I'll actually have to have my father's help with. He is much better with those subjects than I am." Josh says looking down at the food.
"Mr. Laurie maybe hard, but I think the algebra teacher will end up throwing me out of her class by the end of our first semester." Sakura says sighing.
"Hey Josh, what math did they put you in?" Wulf asks.
"I'm taking algebra I with the rest of you. Apparently all the advance classes are full and there were no open slots for Algebra II, so I couldn't take the exit exam even if I wanted to." Josh answers poking at the unknown sustenance that the cafeteria dare call food.
"What did they do, save leftovers from the end of last semester to feed us?" Madison asks pushing her tray away from her.
"Well, at least we know that Leo is working for Sian. He can't play anymore head games with us." Sakura says copying Madison's action.
"Hm, and look who's returned," Lee states as Eli sits down at their table.
"Ah, my cute little descendent...,did you miss me?" Eli asks smiling.
"Like I miss a rotten tooth." Lee replies scowling.
"Well, I guess you all know what I'm here for." Eli says still smiling.
"You're here to help us get rid of your brother, right?" Meilin asks.
"Not get rid of him...,just put him back where he was found. Now Josh, can you tell me what could have cut through this?" Eli asks and hands Josh a severed segment of a chain.
"This appears to have been severed by a precise and powerful laser." Josh says looking at the end of the chain.
"As I suspected, Sigma-Black freed my brother. This doesn't mean that the two are aligned, but it does mean that the two know of each other." Eli states leaning back in his chair.
"Why shouldn't we destroy him? He already caused trouble for us. Why should someone else have to fight him again if he escapes again?" Sakura asks.
"Ah Sakura, worried about future generations' abilities to combat my brother. I must say that wiping him from existence has crossed my mind many times, but I cannot do it. I also cannot allow anything I created to help in his destruction. That means that this is my show now and we'll do things my way." Eli explains while Josh and Wulf give each other a look.
"You didn't create this group, Eli." Lee states glaring at Eli.
"I created the cards. Without them you and Sakura never would have met, nor would the two of you plus Meilin and Madison would have met Josh and Wulf. So in a way I did create this group even if it's in a round about way of looking at it." Eli says still smiling.
"His logic is flawless. I can't see any sort of a hole to poke through to even begin to debate that point." Josh says shaking his head.
"Don't worry, Sigma-Black needs to be destroyed, but I'll not allow the destruction of my brother. He'll be sealed away in that block of ice I put him in the first time." Eli finishes.

'so brother, you recovered enough to return to Readington. You are also foolishly taking charge of a group that doesn't need someone like you leading it. You've might have made an error in judgement that'll cost you.' Sian ponders observing the group. He then hears the laughter of his partner. He turns to see that Sigma was standing in an alcove allowing Skynet to blast his arm with several freeze rays.
"Halt!" Sigma says and the jets of cold stop. Three seconds pass and the Soviet begins to laugh again.
"I can only assume that your test was a success," Sian comments.
"The catalyst I've added to my alloy reacts when the temperature falls below a certain level. It takes about three seconds for my arm to defrost and become fully functional again. Three seconds are an eternity if I'm fighting all of them though."
"That won't happen again. After I test the demon card out on my brother the next attack will show them the hopelessness of their situation." Sian says and the two begin to laugh.
"T-1000 units up and fully functional. Beginning work on T-2000 units." the voice of Skynet states.
"Skynet, how were you able to do that so quickly?" Sigma asks.
"I am now working at 100% efficiency again. This base will have full use of its defenses within a month. I will be able to contact Skynet I in orbit." the droning voice of the computer says.
"Excellent," Sigma-Black says smiling. Sian was concerned though. He could not trust the machine fully. It had the capacity to learn. No good servant should be able to get smarter than his master. He pulls out the demon card and decides that now would be the perfect time for some random destruction.

Sian smirks at the sight. The seven had scattered when he had road in on the demon card like a conquering warlord.
"Have you missed me, you worthless heroes? I know the demon card has missed you." he says jumping off the back of the beast.
"Fight me brother! I played it your way the first time, so are you game for a rematch?" Eli asks summoning his staff.
"Ah, you're looking better then the last time I saw you, brother." Sian says bringing his staff into a defensive position.
"I think our normal melee style of fighting that thing won't work." Wulf says taking off his uniform's shirt revealing a white undershirt.
"Is it just me or does that thing look stronger than the last time we fought it?"?" Josh asks.
"The card wasn't at full charge when he first used it against us." Kero answers coming to the group. "It probably wasn't at full strength when Sian broke it out of its seal."
"Are you saying that the first time we fought that thing it wasn't at full power!?" Meilin says fuming at the guardian beast.
"Well...,yes. It takes a lot of magic to activate the card. It is a drain on the user especially if the demon has to use a lot of its power in attacking. The best way to stop the card is to use cold against it." Kero explains.
"Freeze and snow," Sakura says pulling out the two cards as Kero nods in approval. Lee sighs realizing he'd have to use an element that he wasn't that close to.
"Element...,water!" Lee cries out. It wasn't as impressive as his lightning or fire, but it was good enough to anger the card.
"Freeze, release and dispel!" Sakura cries and the card starts to chill the demon. With the water that splashed its front, the card's effects were assisted in freezing the demon. Josh blasts the card with his freeze ray. Finally, the snow card was released and buried the demon card in snow.
"What!? How did that happen!?" Sian fumes seeing the demon card was trapped in a cocoon of ice and snow.
"That ought to keep that thing on ice for a while." Meilin says smirking.
"Don't be so sure of yourselves, heroes." Sian says and a purple ball of fire melts the snow and ice. Instead of the looming figure of the demon card all that was there was the card back in its card form.
"Where's your demon, brother?" Eli asks smiling. Sakura didn't waist any time. She lunges and scoops the card into her hand.
"Not this time, card mistress. Chain card! Recapture the demon card!" Sian says and several strands of thick chain lash out. Meilin and Wulf try to beat them back, but there were too many. One strand lashes out and recaptures the demon card and brings it to Sian.
"How do you like that?" Sian says smirking.
"You still have to deal with me." Eli says readying another spell, but he feels something try to sink its fangs into him. He manages to shake it off, but his spell was now disrupted.
"Awe, I wanted a meal." Leo says transforming back into his human form. "You would have been perfect. Magical plus virgin blood would sustain me for the next century!"
"You see brother, if you aren't going to play for keeps then you won't be able to win against me." he says laughing and the two teleport away.

Her bright blue eyes look on at the end of the battle. No one could detect her. Eli might have been able to, but he was distracted at the moment. She stood at a height that would allow her to look some professional basketball players in the eye. Her thick, black hair runs straight down to the base of her spine. She then hears the sound of someone teleporting beside her.
"What the bloody hell are you doing in this reality?" a male voice asks. She turns to see a boy with piercing green eyes with a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. He is clad in a silver robe.
"Observing this dimension." she replies.
"Is this a cry for my attention?"
"No, you give me enough of that. I just wanted to know how this dimension had the technology to breach into other dimensions."
"The others are waiting on us."
"Our job as higher powers is never done. Were we ever that young?"
"No, we were younger. Now, do you wish to do the teleporting or shall I?"
"I'll do it." she says rapping her arms around the boy and teleporting the both of them out of the dimension. All that was left behind were a silver and a gold feather. The gold feather lands on the silver one and the two turn to ash.

Author's Ramblings

I couldn't help myself...,I had to put in that last little bit at the end. I think you know who the male was, but the female isn't a canon character. They won't show up again. They're too powerful to get directly involved. Can you guess who I've based the homeroom teacher's name and personality on? Now, the next part will be the thirteenth instalment and in most Anime the thirteenth episode is where some of the worst things happen to the characters. The next part will follow that pattern.
