The whores were out in full force tonight, Taki noted dryly as he walked down the street. Despite the fact that he was wearing one of his more slovenly getups, the prostitutes still seemed to sense that he was a wealthy man, if not a celebrity and had been propositioning him with the force of desperate telemarketers.
Not that the attention wasn't pleasing. Taki would never have denied otherwise. His mind was just too preoccupied with thoughts of Tohma to truly appreciate it. Otherwise he'd have been flirting right back at those girl full force.
Someone knew about what they were doing. It was frightening, yet all Taki could think about was how much he hated Tohma for the slip up. Because there was no way it was his fault. It was definitely Tohma's. The bastard's arrogance had finally gotten the best of him when he'd least expected it and it might very well be Taki who would pay the price.
It was hard to picture the situation Tohma had been put in that had allowed it to happen, but it had obviously happened. He'd had the strange feeling of being watched ever since that incident with the uniform. For all he knew, one of these roving hookers could be in on it. Since his last encounter with Tohma, everyone was a potential enemy.
The moment the thought entered his mind, the attention Taki had been receiving no longer seemed as endearing. He clutched at his jacket and quickened his pace a little. As he rounded a corner, he felt himself bump into something that gave a not so feminine squeak.
"You shouldn't be in such a hurry that you trample people, Aizawa~kun." His heart skipped a beat as he looked at the person who he'd banged into. The man was slight and slim and disturbingly familiar, not that Taki could place him at the moment, due to the poor lighting the street lamps provided. Though, it wasn't like he knew too many men who walked around dressed up in fishnet stalking, mesh shirts and hot pants. Oh and with caked on mascara.
Yet, he felt a tugging at the edge of his consciousness that he couldn't shake. "Do I know you?" The strange man put a finger to his pouting lips that were shiny from way too much chap stick. Definitely not someone Taki would have any association with.
Placing a hand so that it was resting on his vinyl clad hips, the stranger cocked his head to the side. "How can you call yourself a musician when you don't even know your fellow artists."
There was something in the guy's voice that made him seem smackable, yet his identity was hanging on the tip of Taki's tongue. It was bringing a song to his lips as well. Something to do with Sleeping… "Ryuichi Sakuma."
Seeing the stranger nod in satisfaction, Taki didn't know who he felt more mortified for: himself for being such an idiot or for Sakuma, who had dressed so whorishly as to render him unrecognizable. "Bingo! You may not have won the grand prize, but as the runner up, you get your own Kumagoro key chain." A small key chain with a tiny bunny shape was shoved into Taki's pocket before he could protest and then Ryuichi gripped his hand and began to pull. "Come on! Come on!"
The overly long fingernails digging into his hand were the only thing keeping Taki's mind from going blank. "Wh…"
"I've always wanted to talk to you. You're the first friend Tohma hid from me." The smile on Ryuichi's face barely seemed to be touching his eyes. Taki wasn't smiling at all.
"Eh, listen…"
At that moment, Ryuichi's grip became painfully tight. "Shut up." The look Taki was being given caused his blood to curdle and he felt his muscles go limp. Ryuichi gave him a cheesy grin and dragged Taki along. The night had only just begun and yet Taki's nerves were effectively shot.
________________________________________________________________________
There was something about the place they'd gone that caused Taki's hair to stand on end. Ryuichi had dragged him into the backroom of a strange night club he'd never heard of and had then proceeded to ignore him for a half hour, talking to the two girls who had already been in there.
While the room looked relatively clean, there was something about it that left a sticky feeling on Taki's skin. Either that or maybe it was the way the two women were clinging to a famous musician as if he were a silk pillow. There was nothing distinctive about either of them, save the over abundance of make up and the utter lack of skin covering vinyl they wore. They looked like sisters, possibly even twins, but Taki had never been good at distinguishing one giddy girl from the next.
He'd been there for about an hour, ignoring Taki as they whispered in conspiratorial tones, occasionally bursting into loud giggle fits. His drink was untouched, despite his desire to pass the time, least he accidentally end up downing a date rape drug. He was beginning to get fed up with the whole situation and had started to tap a finger against the side of the glass. As his tapping got louder, Ryuichi's foot seemed to start moving in a matching rhythm. The moment Taki's finger stopped, the foot did as well and Ryuichi finally looked at him.
"Girls, I think my friend's getting bored. Could you let me have a few seconds with him?" Ryuichi bowed and clasped his hands together, causing the girls to blush and titter. Sauntering over to Taki he sat down next to him, pushing Taki towards the opposite end of the couch as far as he could.
"So, how do you like them?" The way that Ryuichi was speaking was similar to a lecherous old man who was pervering on young girls riding the train.
Staring at the girls for a moment, Taki shrugged, pushing the glass away. "They're alright, I guess." Actually, they probably were a real catch, but Taki wasn't in the mood to be thinking sex. Besides, once you learned you could have almost any girl you wanted, your standards soared through the roof.
Leaning across the couch, Ryuichi whispered into Taki's ear, his steamy, "Would you give up Tohma for them?" Clutching the fabric of the couch, Taki turned his head, looking Ryuichi straight in the eyes.
"What?"
Rolling his eyes, Ryuichi laid back, giving Taki a cool look. "Tohma's pretty, but he gets bored easily." The older man took a moment to eye his finger nails before turning back to Taki. "He's not as patient as me, so he'll just dump you. So I figure, if you dump him for some pretty girlfriends, everyone will be happy!" The big smile returned as Ryuichi threw his arms outwards.
Taki was far from amused, his face set into straight, hard lines. "Were you the one who sent that outfit?" Ryuichi squealed and leaned forward, clutching Taki's hands.
"Did Tohma like it?" Pulling away his hands and rubbing them as if they had been covered in grease, Taki looked away, hoping to hide the irritation he felt.
"Yes." Taki didn't know how much of his anger was because of the fact that this guy had been the responsible party or if it was because Tohma had enjoyed it.
"Don't think he's not going to dump you though." Once again looking bored, Ryuichi jerked a thumb towards the two girls. "So do you want them?"
Rolling his eyes, Taki crossed his shoulders and huffed. He was being insulted! Him! Taki Aizawa! "I can get a million girls like that." Granted, they were attractive women, but that didn't mean anything.
"Yeah, but they're special. They're sisters. Twins." The spark in Ryuichi's eye was lost on Taki; though he had the feeling he should have gotten the meaning.
"So what? I've fucked siblings before."
"So little imagination." Giggling, Ryuichi gestured towards the two girls. "Rika. Rena." Ryuichi clapped his hands, looking delighted. The girls looked up from their conversation, eyes strangely dewy yet void at the same time. "Time to perform." The girls slowly shifted so that one of them was lying astride the other, both of them favoring Taki with seductive grins that would have made Tohma blush. The one on top then proceeded to give the other a lush, full kiss.
They broke away with a giggle, the one on top, who was probably supposed to be Rena, grasping the girl Rika's breasts. "Aren't they the best?"
It was stupid to the point of bad porn stupid, yet it was all Taki could do not to lose it. "What makes you think I want them?" Taki couldn’t quite stop his breath from hitching as Rena slid the straps of Rika's top down. Those girls may not have been much, but it wasn't every day you go to see something like that.
"I could get you two boys if you want. Kaji and Hotaru are just as sexy, if not more so. I also have some brother and sister combos." The girls now had their tops off and were pushing their small, round breast together, still giggling, like they were at a slumber party. "Or," Ryuichi grabbed Taki's hand and placed it against his stomach, "I could offer myself. I'll give you whatever you desire."
"What's in it for you?"
"Nothing you need to be concerned about."
Screw the girls and whatever else Ryuichi had to offer. If it meant getting out of this deal with Tohma… "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I'll have to decline." The two girls were starring at him, in mid embrace and Ryuichi was blinking so rapidly that it was making Taki dizzy.
Getting up, Taki gave them a quick bow and hurried out of the door. Just as his feet touched the street though, he felt a hand grab him. He turned around to see Sakuma looking at him, eyes harsh. "Why? What do you think you're going to get out of it?" Nothing, nothing at all. He needed to get out of it, yet for some reason, his mouth was working against him.
"I made a deal."
"So?" Ryuichi had a look that Taki knew all to well, since he'd often worn that same expression: the look of someone who was used to getting his way and had just heard no for the first time in his life.
"I don't back out of my promises." With his free hand, he pulled the key chain out of his pocket and pressed it into Ryuichi's hand. "I'm sorry you wasted your time. But that's the only thing I'm sorry about."
He walked away without looking back, knowing that he was going to regret this later. But not before he made sure Tohma regretted it.
