'No...,no! I won't give them the satisfaction of hearing me scream out in pain. I'm sorry you've got to witness this, Meilin.' Lee thinks as a whip lashes out at his chest.
"He's not responding." one of the elders comments from beside the head elder.
"He's stubborn. He's not giving us the satisfaction of his cries of pain. I knew that this would happen in the beginning. We have all the time in the world since no one could ever find him. If I know Wei, he's worried about calling that damn mother of Shaoran's for fear that'll put her in danger and he's right." the head elder says smirking.
"I say we strip the undergarment...," a third says but is stopped by the head elder.
"No, he's got to keep that in tact or we may not have a proper heir."
"Damn you fucking bastards! Stop it!" Meilin shouts.
"You are just as stubborn, if not more so, Meilin Rae.. When this is over you'll be begging me to let him go under the pretense of doing whatever I want." the head elder says and the three walk out of the room leaving the one with the whip to continue.
'Come on guys, find us and get us the hell out of here! I don't know how long I'll be able to take this." Meilin thinks as she continues to watch the horrid scene in front of her play out. The head elder had made sure that she could watch by taping her eyes open.

"I don't like this...,I don't like it at all." Wulf comments as he, Sakura, Josh, and Madison ride the elevator to the floor that the apartment was on. "Why would Wei call us?"
He didn't give me any details but it was obvious over the phone that something has happened." Sakura says as Madison nods in agreement.
"If her family has kidnapped her I'll...," Wulf starts to say but Josh stops him.
"Calm down, it'll do you no good to get all riled up right now." Josh says trying to calm Wulf down.
"You haven't seen "riled up " yet, Josh." Wulf growls as the elevator pings and the doors open. Sakura knocks on the door and Wei hurriedly rushes them in.
"I appreciate the effort that you had to put in getting here so quickly. Now, here's the bad news." Wei says handing Sakura the note. She passes it to Madison with a shock and horrified look on her face. Madison reads it and passes it over to Josh so that she could comfort her friend. After Josh reads it he tentatively passes it over to Wulf and readies himself to stop Wulf from doing something stupid. Josh hears Wulf let out a battle cry and the sound of paper being torn. Wulf had ripped the note into confetti and violently thrown it around the room.
"Calm down Wulf," Josh says pressing a stun needle gun against Wulf's side, "This thing has got enough to even put you down."
"You better back down, Karthing." Wulf growls out.
"And just how are you going to mount a rescue?" Josh asks and the logical part of Wulf's brain caught up to the berserker part.
"Sorry," Wulf says now calmed, "I feel helpless right now."
"They took them back home didn't they, Wei?" Sakura asks with tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
"Yes, they probably have them locked up in a room in one of the lower levels of the estate." Wei answers.
"Well, no better time to test the intredimensional component of the interdimensional portal than now, but you guys will have to give me one more week. I've got to come up with a retrieval program." Josh explains.
"You better tell either me or Sakura first when it's ready, Josh." Wulf says and the other boy nods.

"Lee, I don't know how long I can hold out." Meilin says but it seemed that Lee wasn't paying her any attention. "Lee!"
"Quiet," Lee says softly, "I'm trying to get in contact with Sakura."
"What?" Meilin asks quietly.
"Oh sorry, I thought that you knew. After I helped in transforming the lovers card into a star card me and Sakura gained a telepathic link. I know for a fact that it works on opposite sides of Readington, but over an ocean wasn't a test we could do." Lee explains concentrating on establishing contact with Sakura.

It was still the middle of the week. Sakura was doing what she normally did every night since the two had been kidnapped, toss and turn in her sleep. She was almost as miserable as Wulf was. Then she felt something trying to reach out to her. Sakura sits up and tries to reach out to it.
'Sakura,' a voice whispers.
'Lee?' Sakura questions reaching out with her mind.
'Can you hear me now?'
'Yes, but barely.'
'What the hell?! what is she doing? That link couldn't reach that far!' Kero thinks as the lovers card peeks its way out from under the deck. Kero looks at the card trying to see what it was attempting to do.
'Are you all right?' Sakura asks.
'You don't want to know the answer to that. I'm okay, for now, but you guys better get here soon.' Lee sends now coming in clearly.
'Josh is working on it.'
'Good, make sure you bring the healing card with you. I'm not going to be in the best of shape when you come.'
'What are they doing to Meilin?'
'They are forcing her to watch.'
'Watch what?'
'As I said, you don't want to know the answer to that question.'
'Just hang on, we'll be there as soon as we can...,and Lee...,'
'Yeah,'
'I love you.'
'I love you too, Sakura. Nothing that these beasts can do to me will change that.'

"Well?" Meilin asks as Lee comes out of his trance.
"She knows where we are. Wei found a note and got in contact with our friends." Lee answers.
"When will they get here?"
"Josh is working on it."
"He better be, or I'll break his scrawny neck when I get the hell out of here." Meilin says with mock anger. Lee smiles...,if she was still able to insult Josh then she would get through this.

"He needed that," Josh comments looking down at the sleeping form of his father. Sakura had used the sleep card on Josh's dad to keep him out of the way. "He's been working himself almost to death in order to get the fifth generation of reactors to work."
"Are you sure this will work?" Madison asks.
"Traveling within a dimension is easy, it's going to other dimensions that's the hard part. Give it ten minutes to charge up and we'll be ready to go.

The still night was interrupted by a blue flash and four figures stood where nothing had been before.
"It worked." Josh says quietly celebrating. "Now, I hope that the retrieval program will work right or we'll be in need of a airplane and a good lie."
"This place is certainly a impressive piece of real estate." Wulf comments.
"Yeah," Josh adds.
'Lee, can you hear me?' Sakura asks through the link.
'Loud and clear. Are you guys here?' Lee inquires.
'Yes.'
'Use the invisible card and try not to make too much noise.'
'Gotcha,' Sakura replies.

"I think that's the room they're being kept in." Sakura states seeing a door guarded by two ninjas.
"I say it's time to make some noise." Wulf says tightly.
"I think a more subtle approach is needed here." Josh states and uses his stun laser to knock the guards out. They open the door and quickly pile in with Josh closing it behind them.
"Lee!" Sakura cries out as she runs over to him.
"Free Meilin first before Wulf brings down the wall she's hanging from. Use the sword card on these chains...,they're in chanted." Lee explains. In a flash the sword card is summoned and Meilin is freed. She turns to Lee and with a satisfying slice of the sword the shackles fall to the ground. They hear the door open and more ninjas plus three of the elders come into the room. The head elder claps his hands mockingly.
"Brilliant, absolutely brilliant, but you have no chance of getting out of here with them. Did you think that your use of magic would go undetected, card mistress?"
"I Haven't had something to let my aggression out on all week. You want us to fight our way out of here then order those ninjas to attack. I like to give them a blow to the head." Wulf says readying his hammer.
Josh sighs and rolls his eyes. "I know that you're ready for mayhem Wulf, but I don't think that this guy has considered the fact that he doesn't know how we got here in the first place."
"We'll be able to get that answer out of you soon enough." a second elder says. Josh smiles and counts down.
"Five...,four...,three...,two...,one...," he quietly counts and to the surprise of the ninjas and elders the six disappear in a flash of blue light.
"Find them...,now!" the head elder says furiously.

"It's good to be in my own bed again." Lee comments as he lyes beside Sakura in his room. Lee, Sakura, Meilin, and Wulf had made it back to the apartment with a little help from Wei. Sakura had also used the healing card on Lee to heal the physical damage.
"How did you manage to...?" Sakura asks but Lee stops her.
"I knew you and the others would come after us. I also had a suspicion that those ninjas left some sort of clue. The head of the elders thought that Wei couldn't do anything from here. He couldn't call my mother, but that old dinosaur didn't think that we had a super genius in our corner."
"Wulf was like a caged animal all last week. I think his efforts in gym this week might have scared the rest of your classmates and the coach."
"Those two may like to sneak off and fuck during class, but Meilin and Wulf have a deep affection for each other even if they don't admit it."

"I'm going to apologize right now for smothering you for the next couple of days." Wulf says quietly to Meilin as they were in her room in about the same position that Lee and Sakura were currently in.
"After the week I've had I'll actually enjoy you being overprotective. Just don't stop me from fighting our other enemies, Drumhilde, or I'll try my damnedest to break your neck."
"I'll try my best." he responds. "I can't believe they forced you to watch Lee get tortured like that."
"Our family has some stupid old men running things until Lee comes of age."

"They don't like the fact that you were born of parents whose lineage doesn't have an ounce of magical blood." Lee says explaining the facts from his viewpoint. "The head elder probably believes that your powers were given to you by sheer luck. Most everyone in my family believed I was to be the one to bring the cards back home. I think my failure plus the fact that I've fallen for the wrong girl led to that harsh punishment."
"That's cruel." she says in a quiet rage.
"It's harsh and I can't understand why they would punish Meilin. Maybe they've figured that Meilin and Wulf are a couple."

"Your family certainly has archaic and foolish beliefs." Wulf says after Meilin had finished a similar explanation.
"Either they were punishing me for not keeping Lee from falling for Sakura, or they know about us somehow."
"Hm, I wonder how those idiots looked when we vanished from the room like that?"
Meilin begins to laugh thinking of the looks on their faces. "I think by now they'll realize that we've got technology on our side as well. Now, I need some sleep, we'll fuck later." she says smiling and drifts off to sleep.

"What do you mean no magic was preformed in this room?! We all saw those fools disappear!" the head elder shouts to one of the family mages that was on his side.
"As I said elder, no magic was used to get them out of this room."
"Head elder...," the leader of the ninjas spoke, "The boy with glasses was wearing several strange devices. The first time we encountered them we couldn't tell what he was using, but now I know for a certainty that he was using technology to get that group out of here."
"Technology! That explains everything! We must find out about that boy and the one with the blond hair and...," but before the head elder could finish the room grows cold and ice freezes most of them to the floor. Yelan explodes into the room looking like an ice devil who had been kept in hell.
"Head elder!" Yelan screams out, "What is the meaning of capturing my son and keeping him down here!?"
'Damn it! Wei must have called her.' "Now calm down Yelan, there's no need to turn us all into frozen statues." the head elder says trying to calm the hysterical woman.
"No need? No need!" she shrieks out, "I have every right to turn you into a human pop sickle and shatter you into a million pieces!"
"We weren't going to kill him...,we just needed him to see that he was making a grave mistake." the head elder says trying to back peddle as quickly as possible.
"And Meilin?!
"She needed to be taught a lesson as well...," he says gulping.
"Listen well head elder...,if you try to do something like that again I'll go over your head and have my son and the card mistress married to each other immediately!" she says leaving and slamming the door behind her.
"That woman...,we made a mistake of letting her marry into the family." the head elder says as the mage melts the ice in the room.
"But didn't your predecessor...," the ninja says but is cut off.
"He was a fool. That woman wasn't proper enough for Shaoran's father. She didn't know when she should be submissive. I thought that she was on our side, but I guess that we might have found the line that she won't let us cross." the head elder states and the small gathering leaves the room.

"It was a very good idea to call Lee's mother and explain what those elders tried to do." Spinner compliments.
"Thank you, Spinner." Eli says smiling and leaning back in his chair. "Wei would have done it eventually, but I figured I would speed up the process and explain the futility of separating Lee and Sakura."
"I didn't think she would listen to reason, Master."
"I explained that history had already been written and Lee should have been trained to help Sakura instead of hinder her. Now, I wish that the pair could play with a split deck."
"Why?"
"One person can only use so many of the cards at one time. Two people could use considerably more. Sian was far more gifted than Var. Var was truly frightened by my brother. I couldn't blame him for it. Var might have gone down a dark path, but my brother was born dark. I couldn't see that until now."
"Why would he be working with a scientist?"
"Sigma freed my brother. Sian could have killed him but I think two things were holding him back from doing that."
"What?"
"One, he had just woken up and probably didn't have it in him to kill at the moment, and two...,he realized that a significant amount of time had passed since he had last been roaming the Earth. the world he knew had changed and he needed an ally to help in bringing him up to date."
"And Akurax?"
"Akurax has been subservient to my brother for as long as I knew the bat. Why Sian sent him after Ethel I'll never know." then Eli notices something appear from out of thin air. It was a piece of paper and when it hit the ground it exploded into fire. Eli then sees a ghostly version of Sian.
"Hello, brother," Sian says smirking.
"What is your message for me, Sian?" Eli asks and then notices that Sian was drawing a symbol with his staff. It glows fiery red and continues to as Sian speaks.
"The time is two weeks, the location is at these...,intredimensional coordinates." Eli makes note of the numbers. "Bring as many as you can, dear brother. I wish to weaken you and those that follow your legacy." Sian says smirking and the ghostly vision vanishes.
"An official challenge?"
"Yes, he wants to ware us down and then kill us when we are at our weakest. Unfortunately I nor he can kill each other during this contest. I've been in 3 separate challenges and the last one ended him up in that cave."
"Will you do it again?"
"No, I've learned my lesson on passing things like that onto other generations. I hope we'll be able to get Ruby and Yue involved in this fight."
"The numbers would be on our side."
"Yes, but that damn demon card will continue to be a nuisance. Let's inform the rest of the group about this new development." Eli says getting up and, with Spinner, leaves.
