Rainy Days, stormy nights, & Floating Dreams

"And in weather, it appears we are in for another stormy day as this storm system continues to dump rain on Readington." the newscaster states on the TV.
"Another wet one you two..., make sure you dress right!" Mr. Avalon shouts upstairs to his kids. The two come down in full rain gear and Aiden smiles.

As usual, Sakura was running close to late as she usually does. She runs through of the school trying to get to her class. Unfortunately, since the linoleum floor was wet from drenched students having traveling on it Sakura's clumsiness struck again. However, instead of hitting hard, tiled floor, she hits the chest of a warm body.
"Running late again?" Lee asks making sure Sakura didn't fall over. The only problem was that she was leaning into him making the boy blush.
"Yeah,"
"You running and wet floors don't mix you know." Lee teases. It was the only he could think of to distract him from his blush.
"Don't tease me like that." Sakura complains and whaps him playfully upside his head.
"I guess you haven't been able to sense it yet have you?"
"What?"
"This weather pattern we've been having is the work of two cards. Reach with your senses." Lee instructs and Sakura closes her eyes after standing fully on her feet. Her eyes pop open feeling the two cards.
"We've got to...,"
"After school. I don't think we can sneak out without being missed." Lee states and Sakura sighs knowing that Lee was right.

"You know, I'm getting a little tired of you kid." Kero growls as the two card captors find the source of the storm.
"Will you give it a rest, Kero!" Sakura shouts.
"Element, fire! Come to my aid!" Lee shouts aiming for the center of the card's magic. The fire is quickly put out by a heavy downpour.
"Darn it! Rain's protecting storm's center."
"What do we do?" Sakura asks.
"C'mon, you can do this on your on." Kero tries to encourage but Sakura doesn't listen.
"You've got wood right?" he asks and she nods. "Use it first to try and weaken rain. If that doesn't work, you'll have to use water. When I blow Rain's cloud cover, use Wood." he finishes and Sakura nods.
"She could have figured that out you know." Kero complains.
"Element, air! Come to my aid!" he calls forth. The strong gust of wind blows Rain's cloud cover.
"Wood card! Release and dispel!" she shouts.
"Fire! come to my aid!" Lee cries again attacking storm weakening it and it returns to card form and floats over to Lee.
"Rain card! Return to your power confined, Rain card!" Sakura shouts and the staff is brought down and the card floats over to Sakura.

"Y'know, if you would quit relying on the kid you could have had both cards." Kero begins the moment the two come into her room.
"Will you stop it Kero...," Sakura begins and notices that one of her desk drawers was slightly opened. Growling to herself thinking that Tori had been in her room she opens it to find...,"
"Kero!"

'Oooh! I'm just trying to have my own bed. It's not like I made too much of a mess.' Kero thinks rummaging through the refrigerator to find something to eat. Finding some chocolate, he takes and starts to eat. 'This tastes different, but it's still delicious!' Kero devours the treat not knowing that it was filled with liquor. Being such a small creature, the alcohol takes almost immediate effect.
"Why?! Why does she have to lean on Lee's experience?!" Kero moans flying back upstairs and back into Sakura's room. "That kid isn't even half as strong as Sakura is. I know, I'll just leave and see how she likes it without me." he says and flies out the window.

'Where could he be?' Sakura thinks looking all over her room.
"Sakura?" her dad asks through the door.
"Yeah dad?!"
"Do you know what happened to the chocolate that was in the refrigerator?"
"There was chocolate in the refrigerator?"
"I...,uh...,it's not for you or Tory to consume at your age."
"You mean?!"
"It's got alcohol in it. I'll ask your brother. He might have been tempted by a girl or something." Aiden says leaving Sakura's door. He hadn't bothered in opening it because he didn't know if his daughter was decent or not.
"Oh Kero...," Sakura quietly moans out. "Oh key of Clow, power of magic, power of light, surrender the wand, the force, ignite! Release!" she summons the staff. "Fly card!" she calls and takes off out the window. "Please pick up...," she quietly mutters after dialing a number.
"Hello?"
"Lee?"
"Sakura?"
"Listen, Kero ate some chocolate laced with alcohol. He's somewhere in the city probably lost and drunk."
"That stuffed animal...,I'll get the lazen board. Come get me at the park." Lee says and the two hang up.

'Oh man, I messed up big time.' Kero thinks. He had woken in the home of a little girl named 'Akane'(1).
"I've never seen a stuffed toy like you before." Akane comments holding Kero to her.
'Oh boy, I've got to find a way to escape.' Kero frantically thinks. He then notices a lance of white light hit him. 'The lazen board! Akane couldn't see it though.
"I wish I could go to heaven and see my father again." Akane states. All of a sudden she feels herself leave the ground. Her eyes widen not knowing what was going on.
Oh no! it's the float card! Sakura, help!' Kero shouts in his mind.

"Lee?"
"Yeah, I see it." Lee confirms.
"Which card is that?"
"It's float. It looks like a little girl and Kero are on it. We've got to stop it before it exits the atmosphere." Lee states.
"Hang on!" Sakura shouts and the pair start to rise up higher into the sky. Lee becomes more nervous the higher they climbed. "Kero!" she shouts.
"Sakura! Akane has passed out! You've got to seal the card now!" Kero cries.
"How do we rescue them?"
"Have Kero fly back over to us. I'll hit the float card and you have wood ready to catch Akane."
"Right." Kero! fly back over to us!" she commands and the guardian beast does so. The fly card goes under float and starts to descent.
"Force, know my plight, release the light, lightning!" Lee shouts and the card is struck dead center. Quickly, Sakura does a power dive landing and releases Wood. Wood catches both Akane and the Float card, now back in card form. Lee takes the girl and the Wood card gives the card to Sakura.
"Lee...," Sakura begins but Lee stops her.
"No, it didn't float over to you and Wood gave it to you. It yours." Lee says. "Now, let's get her home." and the two take back to the skies to drop Akane off at home.home.

"Tah-dah!" Sakura cries and Kero's eyes widen seeing that Sakura had changed her bottom desk drawer into a little bedroom for him.
Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!" Kero celebrates crashing into Sakura's chest and hugging her.
'I guess he likes it.' Sakura thinks smiling.
