The plane lands
Chapter Sixteen: The plane lands.
Kyo\'s POV
I loved traveling with my family, but I was never so happy as when my feet returned to my native soil. Once off the plane, and back through the hassle of debarkation, we were met by an enthusiastic Ayame and a concerned looking Hatori. I almost turned around and went back onto the plane.
\"Ah, my Yuki. My darling Otouto. And Kyonkichi. You look wonderful. Oh, my look at my little Kato. What is that wonderful shirt? Why look you all have one, I am jealous.\" Ayame flustered over the hawaiian print shirts the boys had insisted on.
\"Don\'t worry, Aynamee. We got you one, too.\" Now, that was a face worth a million yen. Ayame speechless.
\"Yes, Ayanamee, and it is the brightest one we could find.\" I cooed at him.
\"Eh, well then thank you, Kyo-kun. I am sure I will love it. Yuki you look tired, you are supposed to rest on Vacation.\" Yuki looked to me for support, and shrugged his shoulder. He had a headache and didn\'t really feel like dealing with Ayame.
\"He is rested just fine, Aya. It was a long flight. Why are you here anyway? We have our car.\" It was a good way to change the subject.
\"We wanted to talk to you. Why don\'t we take the boys with us and meet you at your apartment?\" Hatori spoke up.
\"Well, okay. Ayame you look like you are about to explode, what is it?\" I was seeing an unusual side of Yuki\'s brother. He looked like he was trying to keep a secret, and we all knew he couldn\'t do that.
\"Oh, Tori-san can I show them now?\" See what I mean.
\"Go ahead Aya, I\'ll help with the bags.\" Hatori had long since learned this fact too.
\"Look. Look what Tori gave me.\" He held up his hand for our perusal. The ring resting there was large but not imposing. Just the sort of blending of Hatori\'s proper and Ayame\'s outrageous. It sparkled and shone in the bright lights of the airport terminal. I looked away, just before it started. Yuki moaned, knowing what was next.
\"Yes, My Tori-san LOVES ME! He wants to tell the WHOLE WORLD how much I mean to him. AND I have you both to thank, well and my magnificent self of course. You will be there, Right? When My Tori professes his love to the family and everyone?\" Ayame had just announced it to the whole airport who was left for Hatori to tell?
\"Yes, Niisan. We will come. Right, Kyo?\" I nodded my agreement as a sleepy Kato pulled at my arm. We took them to the car and loaded them up. Ayame decided to be dropped off at home first so Hatori arrived at our apartment a short time after we did. Giving us time to do some unpacking and Yuki got to greet his lonely, unloved Pet Cat.
Hatori still looked concerned, so I sent the children to their room to unpack themselves and sat with Yuki on the sofa as Hatori sat in the recliner and began speaking.
That was when the world stopped turning for just a very short time.
