Epilogue: Diregard

Epilogue: Disregard

A/N: I can’t believe I failed to mention this about Ryuma and Kazuhou. However, first, let me introduce Water_Lily. She’s like the real mommy to Ryuma and Kazuhou. I’m just their godmother. XD …a very mean godmother. Moreover, since this is the Epilogue, it’s a good as time as any to bring it up! ^^ Forgive me Watler_Lily! *huggles* Don’t hurt me!

I can’t help but feel like I’m forgetting something. Oo; Erm…oh well. I guess it wasn’t that important.

-3-3-3-3-

For some reason everyone was there. Didn’t you have to know the person in order to come to their funeral? No, it didn’t have to be that way. They were only there in sympathy for the parents. However, to Kazuhou and Ramsey, that wasn’t paying respect to the one person that was supposed to matter the most. Ryuma.

Kazuhou and Ramsey barely knew each other, but they were standing side by side speaking quietly and in deep conversation. Every now and then, Kazuma, who stood behind them, caught a brief word of LAWLESS and switched back to the matter at hand with the funeral, as if they had caught someone listening in on their conversation. Kazuma WAS standing right there, straining to hear everything that Ramsey and Kazuhou had to say to one another.

As the sun lowered behind the mountains, it was an indication that it was time to head back toward the town, away from the newly made cemetery, starting with one cross-shaped tombstone. As they all descended toward home, elders already began to mumble how it would honor them to have a burial along side the teen after their now approaching death.

Ramsey couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief wash over him. A few people still believed in respect for the dead, even if they didn’t know the person recently deceased or who the relation was to them. It didn’t matter one bit to the seniors to the small town. Of course, it didn’t matter to the teenagers either. They were just there to ogle their heroes, Kazuma and Ryuhou. On the other hand, they could have been there to be with their lovers. He suddenly had a different viewpoint on funerals, unlike the times he became bored or simply didn’t care one way or another. However, since it happened to a close friend/lover, he couldn’t help but to see it in another way besides dreary. He actually wanted to cry and jump into the coffin to be with Ryuma, even if it meant burying him alive.

Kazuhou on the other hand didn’t know what to think of the situation. It had overwhelmed him to know of his brother’s sudden departure. He didn’t know Ryuma too well, so he didn’t have a reason to cry, but had great respect for his brother nonetheless. Ryuma had become a friend in the beginning, or maybe an acquaintance. They may have had that short lure to one another, but nothing serious. On second hand, maybe he did feel a crushing sense of sorrow, but had difficulty revealing it. He looked up out of his reverie to feel someone stroking his hair gently.

Kazuma smiled warmly at the teen, trying to comfort him. If knowing his lover, Ryuhou, Kazuhou would also have difficulty expressing himself to anyone standing around him. With that, Kazuhou found his arms latched around Kazuma’s back, hugging him and crying into his chest. What had just happened? It took one simple touch and a smile to cause him to fall apart. He realized Ramsey and Ryuhou were standing right beside them, watching with deep concern.

“I barely even knew him,” Kazuhou murmured. “I-I had hoped…we could spend time with each other, catch up on the times we didn’t have.” A perfect picture of Ryuma’s gratified smile flashed into his intellect. He’d never forget that smile...never.

Two Months Later

“Very good, Ramsey. You’ve been training very well.” Eagon praised with a grin. “You may still be able to surpass Ryuhou and Kazuma.” Ramsey’s trainer was a thirty-two year old man that stood a good six feet. He had shoulder length blonde hair and violet eyes and he was very energetic for his age. Ramsey preferred him out of twenty other tutors that seemed to be nothing but sticks in the mud. Even with Ramsey’s laid back attitude, more from depression than his ‘wacky’ now and days, Eagon was someone he needed to lighten his own mood. On this day, it helped incredibly.

Another student from LAWLESS called out as he frantically ran up to Eagon and Ramsey. “Ramsey! Ramsey! Something is wrong with Kazuhou. He’s acting really strange!”

Ramsey flinched from the statement and started sprinting toward the LAWLESS building, completely disregarding Eagon and the other student. What could have happened to Kazuhou now? Last week he had fainted from the overpowering aura emanating from his body. Then, this Monday he freaked out as Ryuma had, except it wasn’t as devastating for the pedestrians standing nearby or the buildings, just to the ground he stood on. Now there was a descent-sized crater sitting in front of the LAWLESS school building. From what Ramsey understood, someone had picked a fight with Kazuhou and he blew a sucker punch to his jaw, pissing him off extremely. Now, of all days, a Friday, what could be so strange about him than the other days?

He came to a halt behind a mob of students, standing a good distance from the obviously psychotic Kazuhou, showing off his aura for the whole world to see. He called out to the younger alter, only receiving an eerie laugh. “Okay, he’s definitely conscious,” Ramsey muttered as he started pushing his classmates aside, trying to reach the center. When he did, he released an astonished gasp. “Kazuhou!”

Kazuhou turned his head slightly, peering at the brunette. The corner of his lip lifted up in a feral grin. “Ramsey…” There was something peculiar about his voice. It wasn’t his!

Ramsey started to approach the teen cautiously. The aura suddenly brightened, forcing him away slightly. The pressure became heavier as he continued to press on until he became invisible from all the light and blowing dust. “Kazuhou! What’s the matter with you?” He reached his hand out when he felt that the other teen was close enough. “K-Kazu…” He grasped onto something solid. He expected it was the other’s arm and yanked on it harshly.

The atmosphere abruptly collapsed into silence and finally revealed Kazuhou and Ramsey hugging him tightly.

Ramsey blinked when he noticed all the eyes staring at him expectantly. He pulled back to peer down at the teen who seemed to be breathing heavily. He blinked when Kazuhou looked up, his eyes flashing an uncanny gold instead of his normal crimson. His hair shifted into devilish spikes on top of his head, resembling Kazuma when he used his alter power. “Kazuhou?” He asked softly.

The teen sneered as he leaned up and captured the brunette’s lips in a chaste kiss.

The world seemed to have frozen again as it had when Ryuma passed away. Ramsey slowly submitted to the kiss, feeling somehow that this was very familiar. One word stuck in his mind as their kiss became more passionate. ‘Ryuma.’

They both broke apart, one staring disbelievingly at the other. It appeared that Kazuhou had returned to normal. “What…in the hell did you just do?”

“Me?” Ramsey sputtered, a flustered blush crossing his cheeks. “You’re the one that kissed me.”

Kazuhou blinked and scrunched his nose up as if he was in pain. His eyes narrowed as he stared at the other accusingly. “I-I would never…” He cut himself off as he recollected his memories. On the other hand, DID he kiss Ramsey? It wasn’t as if he didn’t enjoy it if he had, but at the same time, it was familiar. A voice chuckled in the back of his head. ‘You kissed him and you loved it! Hell, I loved it!’ Kazuhou suddenly broke into a grin, causing Ramsey to inch back in horror. The teen couldn’t help it. That voice, it was taunting him now. He buried his fingers into his scalp and started laughing insanely. “H-His name is…Kouhansai!”

“Who?” Ramsey asked cautiously. “What are you talking about?”

“It’s Ryuma. He’s in my head!” Kazuhou cringed and stood straight up when his appearance altered to that of a minute ago. “As one, Kazuhou and I are Kouhansai.” He bowed before Ramsey and looked up with a goofy grin. “Hello Ramsey, I’ve missed you.” He unexpectedly tackled the young man around his waist, causing them both to fall to the ground with a pained protest of a groan. Ramsey stared at the top of Kouhansai’s head and gave an exasperated grin. “I need a cigarette.”

The End

-3-3-3-3-

Kouhansai: latter half of one\'s life. Fits him somehow…^^;

A/N: So, here’s the end and sorry for the late update. I was at a friend’s house, having fun…of course!! XD Nonetheless, I’ve completed the fic! Yippee! Not really. I’m going to miss it kind of. However, I look at it this way. At least I’ll be able to finish my other fiction and then work on my other one. Oh dear. What an interesting life I live. Well, actually, Ramsey’s life has gotten a lot more interesting. No, there will be no sequel because then it’ll be all about Kouhansai and Ramsey and how there are all going to be so mixed up with each other’s emotions…and I don’t think I could handle that. Oo; It’s bad enough that I’m trying to deal with my own emotions!

Nanaka: Thanks for the decision. I was leaning toward an epilogue anyways, but I still wasn’t quite certain. Heh, thanks a lot! I apologize for Ryuma’s death, and I hope that this final part will make up for it. I seriously hope that it does! O_o

Water_Lily: Yippee! You have your own account! You had better start writing some fics. Of course, I’ll be helping you, now that I only have very few fictions to work on. Mainly ‘The One That Falls in Love Loses’ and a future one I’m planning on writing that consists of Seto x Joey...again. ^^;
