A/N: The final Chapter. This is a beautiful song but I haven't been able to find the lyrics for it.

Aleia looked at the letter in her hand. Komui had written. Kanda had vanished. He’d been gone for so long that Komui was certain he was on his way to see her. But he hadn’t arrived.
Aleia was worried. What if he was captured again.
She’d left her house and cats to the Finders again and returned to the Order. She hadn’t wanted to.
Lena and Lavi had met her at the gate, embraced her and led her back. They had told her of his odd behavior. The only one who didn’t say anything was Allen, he merely slid a crumpled letter to her.
It was her writing. Her letter. From before she traveled to India.
“He always carries this with him” Allen said. “I think he went to Japan. To lay some bad memories to rest.”
Aleia handed the letter back, just as the door opened and Kanda strode into the dining hall. Silence reigned.
She stared and him, he stared back. Time seemed to slow. What to say? To say anything at all? He looked angry and tired.
She felt frightened and cold.
Then he was striding across the room to tower over her.
“I got tired of waiting.” he said, his tone dripping with finality and she felt like he had just slapped her.
“I didn’t know you were” she whispered.
“I decided if you didn’t return I was coming to you” he blurted out, “I’m done pretending.”
She blinked, feeling lose in those gray eyes. “Huh?” she answered stupidly.
His eyes moved to her throat, “Your lotus?”
Her hand touched the spot where it usually rested, “My room” she said, “I’ll give it back of course.”
She rose on wobbly legs, aware that everyone was watching this terrible drama play out. It was truly over now. In front of everyone. She moved to pass him and he caught her elbow, pulling her to a halt.
“Don’t you ever” he whispered to her and she turned slowly, green eyes wide in question. “it’s the blossom I bind my life to.”
“I…”
“I love you Aka.”
She felt like she had been kicked in the stomach by Lucifer. “Did….did you …just …say it?” she whispered. Her mouth was slightly open and Kanda, uncaring of who heard or saw, leaned down and pressed his lips to hers in a sweet kiss.
She blinked as he pulled away. He let out an irritated sigh and tugged a lock of her red hair, “You’re supposed to say it back baka.” he reminded her, but his insides tensed. What if she didn’t say it, didn’t feel it.
She blinked again and confusion melted, “I love you Yu.”
He crushed her to him, melding his mouth to hers, large hand catching the base of her skull to cradle it. He pulled away just enough to allow breath to pass, “I’m never letting you go.”
Aleia felt her eyes well and hugged him tightly, laughing a watery bubbly sound when he swung her up into his arms.
“Kanda!” Komui called, “Where are you going?”
Without breaking stride, he left the room, “To bed” he called back, “For the next week.”
They didn’t see the shocked faces left behind, didn’t see Allen, Lavi and Lena smile knowingly. Didn’t see anything at all, except each other. And that didn’t change.
