This part marks the beginning of the second arc of this story. I still don't own Card Captors nor would Clamp want to sell me the licensing. The plot is somewhat mine..,I think, but any new characters that appear in this arc are mine. The song mentioned in this part isn't mine either. I thank Scorpinac for reviewing and telling me about my chapter screw up back in the first ark, and those who brought the hit count up over six hundred on aff.net. I also thank those lurkers on the GA for reading as well.

The beginning of January was like the majority of winter's month's, dark and cold, especially in the mornings. January also marked the beginning of the next semester at the high school. A student standing at around six and a half feet tall makes his way to the school. His features were covered by a black leather jacket that reaches passed his knees. His head was covered by a hood in order to protect his head from the elements. He whistles 'Harvester of Sorrow'(1) as he makes his way to the front entrance of the school. His glove covered hand pushes the door to the school open and he walks in. The seniors that were hanging around the entrance sees the figure walk in. At first they all thought that it was Drumhilde under that hood, but when he removes the hood it reveals a knew student. His hair was a platinum blond. He takes off the sunglasses to reveal hazel eyes that would make every single girl in the school fall to their knees in worship of him. If one could see under the bangs that cover his forehead, they would see that there was a pattern of dots that if linked would form a pentagram. He looks around to see if any of these students were of the female gender. Seeing none, he moves along. His boots make an obvious noise as they hit the tiled floor. He continues to whistle the heavy metal song as he starts to find a female student to show him around.
"Hey tough guy!" one of the seniors calls out to him. He stops and turns to see who had gotten his attention.
"Yes?" he asks in a smooth voice.
"You a senior?" the senior asks.
"No...," he answers and tries to remember the right word for the grade he was in. I'm a sophomore." the new student finishes.
"You related to Drumhilde?"
"No...,and if you try to start a fight with me I'll leave you in worse shape than he would." the new student says smirking and walking away. The senior shakes his head in amazement.
"Man, for the first time I'm going to pity the freshmen in a few years that come here. And how does he know Drumhilde?" the senior says to himself and rejoins his friends.

"Chelsea,...C'mon! If we're late to homeroom on the first day of the new semester Mr. Laurie will have us memorizing the periodic table!" Nikki whines to Chelsea.
"Yeah Chelsea, just forget about the stupid combination lock and bring bolt cutters tomorrow." Rita says.
"Darn it, I knew I should have memorized the combination." Chelsea states sadly.
"Mind if I take a look at it? I've got a knack for locks." a smooth voice says from behind the three. The three turn to see the same boy that the seniors had in countered at the front door.
"Not at all," Chelsea says in a dreamy voice. He steps to the locker and runs a finger around the numbers on the lock. If one was paying close attention three of the numbers light up and in a matter of moments the lock clicks and Chelsea's locker opens up.
"Your combination is sixteen to the left, 47 to the right, and 22 to the left." he says smirking. You might want to write that down." he adds and Chelsea quickly complies.
"So, who are you? We haven't seen you around before." Nikki says smiling at him.
"Just transferred today. I'm Darren by the way. You three think you could escort me to the main office?" he asks still smiling.
"Yes." all three answer in unison while blushing at the same time. They start to walk when Darren hears a noise coming from one of the closets.
"What was that?" he asks looking at the door.
"Oh, that's probably just Wulf and Meilin going at it." Chelsea answers still blushing.
'Hm, she's right. I can feel the transfer of sexual energies, plus the ordained strength that the Drumhilde line is famous for is flowing into the female. Ahh, these three girls are all virgins. I'll be able to use them to finally reach a level of power that no other demon has ever seen. This couldn't get any better.' he thinks confidence evident now.

"Where do you come up with this stuff?" Josh asks Zachary. The class was just sitting in Mr. Laurie's room waiting for the bell to ring. Zachary had just finished another diatribe which Josh and Lee calmly listened to while Sakura and Madison talked to each other.
"It's all true, I swear it!" Zach replies.
"If it's true then why do you get F's in history?" Lee asks with a half smirk on his face.
"I keep telling you she can't accept my interpretation of history." Zachary defends as Meilin and Wulf come back into the room.
"Have fun?" Lee asks sarcastically.
"You're just jealous that you and Sakura don't have the guts to do it at school." Meilin says lightly punching Lee on the shoulder.
"You guys see Chelsea?" Zach asks the pair.
"Nope," Wulf answers and then on cue Chelsea, plus the other two girls and Darren walk into the room. Sakura, Lee, and Wulf sit up a little straighter seeing the knew kid. Josh mentally notes that the new guy was sitting where Leo used to sit. Before the six could have a chance to talk about this new development the door slams open and their homeroom teacher walks in lightly leaning on his cane. He walks over to his chair and pulls it around from behind the desk to sit in front of it.
"Hm, looking over the roster we've lost one, one went back to jolly ol' England...," he says in a British accent making the class laugh, "...,and now we've got a new one.. Darren Mckalester," he says slamming his cane on top of Darren's desk. Most of the class was surprised that Darren didn't even flinch. "You aren't the trouble maker that Leo was but you seem to be able to con your way out of any situation you get yourself into. Unfortunately for you, I've got a penis so your ability to make female teachers go easy on you can't work on me." he finishes taking back his cane.
'Just who the hell does this mortal think he is? I'm not so easily intimidated by a mere human who has a bad leg.' Darren thinks trying to figure out a way to kill him without anyone knowing.

The six didn't see Darren again until gym. Today, both classes were inside but the genders were split. The boys were wrestling while the girls were playing volleyball.
"For once I'm glad that we've got a new student that looks like he could handle himself against Wulf. I can't even begin to try and beat him at wrestling. The only one who probably could is Meilin." Lee comments as he, Josh, and Zach watch Darren and Wulf circle each other.
"You know...,wrestling was originally...," Zach starts but Josh cuts him off.
"Hey, our girls are playing Nikki, Rita, and Chelsea." Josh says and Zach turns to watch Chelsea.
"Good job in distracting him, Josh." Lee says quietly.
"Zack's all right, but his stories sometimes get out of hand. The coach won't like him telling a falsified version of the history of wrestling. The coach probably will have Zach running around the gym if he hears one today." Josh says and Lee nods remembering all the laps Zach had been forced to run last semester because of his stories.
"C'mon Drumhilde,where's that berserker I've heard so much about? I want to meat him." Darren taunts in Wulf's ear as he had Wulf in a painful hold.
Lee bites his lip as he watches the two blonds fight. "I would understand if Darren was more cunning or faster than Wulf, but I can't believe that he's stronger."
"Hm, looks like this is provoking Wulf's berserker." Josh states and Wulf manages to break the hold and starts to attempt to violently drive Darren to the mat.
"Ah hell," Lee quietly swears, "if I didn't know any better I would think that Darren wanted Wulf's berserker to come out, but that would mean that Darren knows about Wulf's family's gift."
"Have you been able to sense something from him?" Josh asks.
"No, but there's something strange about him." Lee says watching the two go at it.
"Man, Sakura's team is just too good. Although, watching Chelsea hitting that ball is quite...,stimulating." Zach says and the other two boys roll their eyes. The wrestling match takes up all the class time. The coach whistles trying to break the boys apart but the two wouldn't stop. Thinking that he would have better luck with Darren, the coach starts to pull him away from Wulf, but the other boy wouldn't let Darren go.
"Meilin! Get over here!" Lee calls out. Meilin runs over to get behind Wulf and restrains him. Darren smiles seeing Wulf's girlfriend calm him down.
"All right you two! Get down to the locker room and get showered and changed! Now!" the coach barks out. He turns to Meilin and visibly calms. "Thanks, I don't know how you do it."
"He responds to me better than most other people." Meilin says smirking and the coach shakes his head.

"What was that about back there?" Lee asks as the three boys get changed back into their school uniforms.
"He's not what he appears to be." Wulf says shaking his head.
"What!?" the two boys quietly exclaim.
"For only a second or two his false form flickered but whatever spell he's using to maintain it was reinforced. It should have completely vanished but some counter force was blocking my ability to disrupt his illusion."
"Is that even possible?" Josh asks.
"Normally no, but if this was some sort of powerful demon magic...," Wulf starts to say as the consequences of that statement start to hit home.
"Stronger unholy magic can counter holy magic." Lee says sighing. "We better tell the girls about this." he adds and the other boys nod in agreement.
'So, that's what happened. I forgot that little defense their family has. No matter, I will have what I came for soon enough.' Darren thinks smirking to himself.

At the end of classes that day, Darren stands at his locker. He stares at the combination lock and runs a finger across the numbers. Once the lock is enchanted he draws a pentagram with his finger to protect the door from anyone steeling anything that he may leave during the day. He had been frustrated by the ineptness of the office to assign him a locker sooner. He places the lock on the door and locks the lock smirking at the combination that he had changed it to.
'Six to the left, six to the right, and six to the left again. Humans have such a fear of certain numbers, although the fear of 666 came from us demons in the first place. How can these humans stand to do these mundane tasks?' he thinks and then hears three pairs of footsteps approaching.
"Hi Darren," Chelsea greets.
"I thought you three would have left by now." Darren says smiling.
"Nah, just wanted to say bye and to ask if you needed someone to show you around town." Rita says smiling at him.
"I'd like that. This Saturday at noon." he replies and the three girls quickly leave giggling and blushing all the way.
"Hey Darren!" a male voice says coming towards him after a minute passes. He turns to see Zackery approaching.
"And what do you want, fresh meat?" Darren asks using the seniors' nickname for the freshmen.
"Stay away from Chelsea." Zackery says with all of his humor gone from his voice.
"Listen boy," Darren says pushing Zach against a nearby locker, "I'll do what I want to do, when I want to do it, and to whom I want to do it to." Darren finishes snarling at Zack.
"Hey!"
Darren turns his head to see that it had been Wulf that called out to him and that he and those other five friends of his were making their way towards him.
"Well Drumhilde, care to finish what we started?" he asks throwing Zackery away and erecting a spell silently so that Zach couldn't hear them.
"You seem to know too much about my family, Darren." Wulf says stepping in closer to him with Meilin right behind Wulf.
"I doubt you would know too much about me since we in the Covenant tend to keep away from you hero types. You tend to make yourselves apart of groups that can overwhelm the weakest of us." he says pulling off his necklace to reveal a solid gold pentagram with a circle containing another pentagram in the middle. "This means nothing to most of you except for that damn card you have, Sakura Avalon."
"Which card are you talking about?" Sakura asks.
"Oh c'mon, has the intelligence of mages over the two thousand years I've been around gone down hill? There's only two cards that also have demon magic along with the Eastern and Western magics those stupid little cards are based off of as well. I'll help you card mistress, it isn't the demon card." he says finishing his rant.
"Why do you want the lovers card?" Sakura asks.
"The two demons that the card is made from were second class sex demons of the Covenant that got themselves foolishly captured by Clow Reed. If you want to know more, meet me at the park tonight. If you get there before me I'll tell you everything you want to know before I take the card from you." Darren smirks and swiftly turns away from the group and leaves.

"The Covenant...,that's a name our family hasn't heard since Bran's days. If I remember correctly the Covenant is a secret society of both incubus and succubus demons. They like causing trouble but not on a large scale like Sian or his former allies. You say that the demon was wearing a gold necklace with a solid gold pentagram on it?" Matilda Drumhilde asks.
"Yes, it had etched into it a pentagram inside of a circle." Wulf answers.
"Keroberos, did your previous master ever meet a being with that description after he changed those two demons into the lovers card?" she asks.
"Hm, he did do battle with a demon wearing a necklace like that but he didn't look like this Darren." Kero answers. "He had black hair and was in his true form."
"The family has had an enemy or two that changed their name throughout the years. Plus, we're talking about an incubus. their one desire is to have as much sexual pleasure as they can get. I would guess that Darren is most likely the head of the Covenant and wishes to bring the two demons of the lovers card back home. The odds are also good that Darren has encountered at least one of our ancestors as well. Judging by how he forgot about our ability to disrupt illusionary spells it must be far back." Matilda finishes.
"I'm not going to let him take the lovers card without a fight." Sakura states firmly.
"Be careful, the card might not be the only thing Darren wants. I doubt that the leader of the Covenant would come to Earth himself just to retrieve two lowly demons." Matilda adds.
"She's right, he probably was furious with Clow when he created the lovers card. Most likely he showed himself in his true form instead of this false form he's using to fit into your school. He's probably up to something beside getting the demons back since he hasn't threatened your lives yet." Kero says to the six who were sitting at the kitchen table at the Drumhilde residence. Eventually, the group heads out to the park to encounter their new foe.

"Well, it looks like all of you showed up, and even you showed yourself, Keroberos. It's been a long time hasn't it? Where's that false angel of a brother of yours?" Darren asks smirking at the guardian beast.
"You can forget about getting the lovers card, Darren, or whatever the hell your name is. My mistress will not allow it." Kero says transforming into his true form.
"Hm, will she be willing to kill me unlike your prior master?" Darren asks condescendingly.
"Are we going to fight or are you going to run your mouth?!" Meilin asks fuming.
"You certainly picked a hot headed bitch to be your partner, Drumhilde. By the way, I met Bran a few years after he was given all of his powers. The fight ended in a draw although he would tell you that he won, the righteous bastard. Now, I guess I shall force the card out of your hands." Darren says and starts to transform. A black aura surrounds him and when it fades the false form is replaced with his true demonic form. His hair was now black with blood red eyes. He now wears a black, silken robe with a royal blue pentagram on the chest. With no preamble Darren fires off a force blast knocking the group to the ground hard.
'I'm glad I'm wearing the quest companion armor(2),' Sakura sends to Lee. It had been a Christmas present from Lee and it could hold up against the force that Darren just let loose. Fortunately Madison hadn't been directly in the path of the blast. In retaliation Josh fires off a mini-missile, but to everyone's shock and horror he catches the projectile without detonating it.
"Technology," Darren says shaking his head, "if bullets can't hurt me then what makes you think that this thing can?"
'That's right, keep a hold of it for a few more seconds," Josh thinks and the missile explodes in Darren's right hand. He winces in pain but he quickly heals himself.
"Damn it, I won't make that mistake again." Darren says and sees Wulf and Meilin charge at him. "Good! Throw everything you've got at me. I want to see how much effort I'm going to have to put into this!" he yells getting into a defensive stance in order to block Wulf's hammer blows and Meilin's powerful strikes.
"what are you really here for demon? I doubt getting back two low class sex demons are so important that you would come personally to bring them back to the Covenant. You got some plans for Rita, Nikki, and Chelsea?" Wulf asks trying to smash his hammer into Darren's skull.
"That's for me to know and the girls to find out later. I must admit, the two of you make a good fighting pair. Unfortunately, I've got more experience than your entire group combined!" he says ducking another blow from Wulf and grabbing the hammer. Darren starts to spin with Wulf knocking Meilin to the ground and throwing both hammer and Wulf away like a sack of potatoes.
"Stay down!" Josh yells out to Wulf and Meilin who both roll clear. 'Let's see him handle this!' he thinks firing off the charge shot. When the smoke clears Darren stands there with his clothes tattered and his skin lightly charred.
"Element, Lightning!"
"Thunder Card!" both of the mages use their electrical based attacks. The combine force damages the demon more.
'No, I still need those last three virgins. I'll have to concede this one to those heroes.' Darren thinks and teleports away in a cocoon of black fire.
"And so the fight between good and evil continues." Kero quietly says changing back. He was impressed that they all were able to hold up against Darren, but what would he do with Sakura's friends?

There I go again, plugging his stuff. Although, I find it a fair trade, he let's me use his characters and I plug his Card Captors story.
