Boarding School Chapter 1

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I looked out of the window of the plane I am on that is going towards England. You’re maybe wondering why I am on the plane in the first place. I will start from the beginning.

My parents married too quickly into their relationship, because it was love at first sight for them. My father was a Professor at Oxford University. He was one of the youngest professors there at the age of 25. My mother was a reporter for a newspaper in New York writing about my father. It was a weird way how they met too. They were supposed to meet at a near-by café. When each of them got there, they didn’t know whom to look for; all they knew was to meet at the café. They both ordered different types of coffees and when the waitress switched the coffees on accident.

When they got each other coffees, they went to complain. They reached the counter and then bumped into each other sending the coffees to the floor.

Serenity Carey, my mother, bent down and started picking up the cups and tried to wipe up the coffee with a napkin she had.

Kenneth Williams, my father, bent down as well to help her out.

“Please, let me help you,” he said in an accent known to us Americans.

“No, I got it. It was my fault I bumped into you. The waitress mixed up my drink,” my mother said finishing cleaning the coffee up with the help of my father.

“The waitress did the same thing to me. What kind of coffee did you get?” he asked.

My mother looked up at my father. They just stared at each other knowing it was love at first site.

I forgot to mention my parents’ looks. My mother has a light blonde hair color that went into the middle of her back and deep blue eyes. My father has dirty blonde hair, but his hair looks brown and his eyes are a hazel-green color.

When they looked into each other’s eyes, they were hooked as if cupid’s arrows had shot them both. Love at first sight looking into each other’s eyes.

“Well I guess… I…” she stuttered.

They both stood up and introduced themselves.

“My name is Serenity Carey, newspaper reporter of the NY times,” Serenity said lifting her hand.

“My name is Kenneth Williams, Professor at Oxford University of Historical facts and reasoning,” he said shaking her hand. (An: I made it up. If it is true, don’t give me a bad review about it.)

“Well, I’m the reporter that is supposed to interview you.” She smiled at him.

“Lets get started,” he said. They both sat down getting on with the interview.

They got to know each other more through the interview and through the personal questions they asked each other.

After a couple of days, they had their first date and their first fight too. They fought over the stupidest thing; it was over what restaurant to go to.

Many months (okay about five) later, my father proposed to my mother. It was the most romantic proposal ever (in the words of my mother). My father planned a beach trip to Florida to surprise my mother for their 5-month anniversary.

Later when they got there, he planned a romantic picnic on the beach watching the sunset. Later they rented a beach house where he set up the house full of rose petals and candles. That’s when he got down on one knee and asks her to marry him.

Like most of every women’s’ answers, my mother said yes.

They wanted to keep everything down low because the truth of the matter was neither of their families knew they were dating each other, so they decided to keep their relationship secret.

About two months later my parents finally decided to tell my grandparents the truth about the whole situation. His mother and father were thrilled that he finally had someone. My grandmother wasn’t really thrilled, because she didn’t trust my father.

It was really hard for my mother and father to plan their wedding, because they were across the ocean doing their jobs.

One night, a week before the wedding, my mother found out some news.

Sorry it’s so short. Don’t worry I will make it longer. You guys might be confused. The reason why I am explaining why her parents meet and everything because it will explain why Serena has to go to England and go to an all boys school. Okay?
