Chapter 2
Disclaimer and AN below if you feel you need to read them.
~*~*~*~
The club was packed for another night. A DJ was doing his damnedest to get the crowd riled for the live performer on next.
Said performer was backstage, near ready to strangle anything that moved.
Hearing her names' familiar lilt chanted in candance to whatever back-breaking dance song was being blasted through the system, she forced herself to relax a little. Fixing her pants one last time, she turned and followed the call towards the stage.
~*~
In that same dark corner, the same blacker-than black swirl appeared on the already pitch wall.
That same insanely grinning man stepped from the quite invisible portal and sat at the same table. The main difference in the scene was his outfit. There was no violently red coat, and no suit. In the place of his usual attire were charcoal black trousers and a long-sleeved dress-shirt, with the first two buttons undone. Sadly, the white gloves were still there.
The man ordered the same drink from a green-eyed waitress and settled himself for the wait.
He was not unsatisfied.
~*~
The music suddenly changed, giving the girl behind the curtain her cue. A few deep breaths settled her soul for her performance. The low thrums of the first bars relaxed the girl further before it jump-started into a harder, louder and stronger beat. She stomped runway-model like through the space in the curtains into the spotlight.
~*~
Alucard leaned forward eagerly as pure white spotlight lit on the lone object on stage. A microphone. He relaxed his jaw into his palms and his elbows onto the table top as new beat sounded and his prey emerged from the curtains.
~*~
She grasped the microphone and swayed with the music a little, getting the feel of it. She knew that if she looked up, his eyes would be there. Showing how he was annoyed or amused with his little pet. He was constantly degrading her, and she was completely fed up.
She opened her eyes on a downbeat, instantly locking her gaze with that of her master. She could easily read the amusement dancing there, though she wasn't all to sure about the curiosity she also saw.
'Probably wants to see if his pet will do a new trick.'
She grinned at him and started her song.
"Sensation washes over me, I can't describe it,
Pain I felt so long ago
I don't remember.
Tear a hole so I can see, my devastation,
Feelings from so long ago,
I don't remember."
She leaned over the lip of the stage, singing across the top of the crowd writhing below her.
"Holding on, to let them know,
What's given to me, given to me -
To hide behind
The mask this time,
And try to believe."
Pulling back, Seras let her hair fall down over her face. Her eyes shone past her bangs to bore into Alucard's. Moving more to the guitar line than anything, she practically purred the following verses straight to her masters' delicate hearing.
~*~
Poor Alucards' eyebrows had long since disappeared into his raven bangs. In his opinion, the woman on stage was a picture of wild sophistication.
Her hair was still wild, and her makeup was still the simplest of black and red accents but she was holding an air in her movements of perfect superiority.
Her shirt was again cut to her throat and large-sleeved but, instead of being slashed and clasped at her wrists and black, they stayed full, whole, and red. Her shoulders were completely exposed through round openings and this shirt also ended just below her last set of ribs.
Her pants were of supple black leather. And they were tight. And they rode low on her hips. The pants clung to her shapely legs like a second skin until mid-calf where they opened to a slight bell that almost fully covered her black, pointed-toe stiletos.
The entire outfit gave the viewer a feeling of long legs and fit stomach.
Alucard thought it suited her perfectly.
The wicked Nosfertu contemplated her outfit and its many implications until her next song, where his thoughts were interrupted but the first shouted line...
~*~
"She want me!
No!"
Seras moved to the music, rocking and dancing rhythmically to the pulsing beat.
"Your mind won't let you say that you want me,
Your mind won't ever, never let you say what you want.
You howl and wail like a banshee,
Still your mind won't ever let you say...
Your mind won't let you say that you want me,
Your mind won't ever, never let you say what you want.
My little tired devotee,
Your mind won't even let you feel!"
~*~
Alucard laughed when the lyrics registered in his understanding.
'If you only knew, Police girl.'
He stood fluidly and moved back to the wall he had entered by. As the swirl of darkness overcame his body he locked eyes with red eyed woman on stage one more time and sent her a promise to find her and talk to her later.
~*~
On stage Seras shivered as the last of her master's red eyes disappeared into the wall.
'It's going to be a long night.'

Disclaimer: It's pretty well-known as a general rule that fanfic writers don't own most of the persons in their fics. Would we bother writing about them for free?
The Disturbed songs borrowed in this instillment are Remember and Want. They are assuredly not mine.
A/N: I hoped you liked it. c.c; It took me a long time to write, I kept playing around with other ideas. Like a confrontation outside of the club... I may explore that in the next chapter. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading! ^^!
