Midnight Cherry Blossoms

Kito shreiked as a hand shot out of the darkness in an alley and snagged his arm dragging him into the dark. He tripped in fear and fell into surprizingly warm and strong arms and froze in terror.
“Please don’t.” He whimpered pleadingly and light filled the alley as he was released and backed away. Three people faced him smiling. The first was tall and broad shoulders with a slim waist and hips. He had long shining dark hair and smoky grey/gold eyes. A black jewel glittered on his forehead. He was dressed in simple black leather with dark bangles on his arms. The second was a small girl with short pink hair and violet eyes. She wore a low cut violet shirt that crisscrossed at the shoulders, a pretty thigh length skirt and boots. What struck Kito as weird were the streamers coming out of the top of her head apparently. He shifted his eyes to the third person a guy with short silvery hair and golden eyes dressed in a white t-shirt and white slacks with black leather boots.
“Who..who are you? What do you want!?” Kito cried backing away and cringing as the dark haired guy walked towards him.
“Kito of the flame and healing arts?” He asked in a smooth and alluring voice which Kito blinked at.
“The poor kid is scared to death. Stop teasing him already Temoko!” The girl ordered folding her arms behind her head.
“Gomen. It was not my intention to frighten you.” Temoko locked eyes with the boy who suddenly felt some of his fear ebb away.
“It’s..ok. Who are you guys? And how..do you know about me being a freak?” Kito whispered in shame. The dark haired young man stared for a moment then laughed.
“You really think you are a freak Kito Tekeshi? Look, watch this.” He threw his hand out to the side and focused. A glittering ball of black energy grew in his hand.
“I control darkness.” He said simply.
“Hey Kito check this! Haaaa!” The girl posed and tensed her body as large pink bubbles burst from her body and hovered around her. With a small giggle she jumped onto one which rose higher.
“If you are a freak..then so are we.” The third person said quietly as his body shifted and changed till a huge white wolf stood before them baring it’s teeth before it changed back.
Kito was in shock. Not only were there others who had powers like he, but they actually appeared to know how to use them and apparently enjoyed using them too.
“I...you are..” He suddenly blinked as his face was lifted and he stared into the dark haired, young man’s eyes.
“Do not be afraid.”
Kito’s eyes flew open as soft, cool lips covered his own in a short kiss before Temoko released him and stepped away.
“Mmm, you taste good.” He smirked gently. Kito was still dazed.
“Kito Tekeshi come with us. We will teach you how to use your powers to aid Tokyo and all of Japan. To stop the evil consuming it. Accept our aid. Onegi?” The silver haired man asked calmly. Kito was still frightened but not as much. He somehow sensed these people were not out to hurt him. Maybe..they can help me, he thought and slowly nodded.
“Ooh! He agreed yaaay!” The pink haired girl squealed and landed before him gazing coyly up at him through her bangs.
“I am Koneko. Please to meet you.”
“Uh..sure. Nice to meet you too.”
“Let’s go before we are intercepted by the enemy.”
“Right. Kito take my hand.” Temoko said softly holding it out. Kito eyed it warily.
“I promose we will not hurt you. Come.”
Slowly Kito raised his hand and placed it in the older man’s and he cried out stumbling into Temoko.
The ground was gone and all around him was swirling rainbow light that dazzled his eyes. Koneko and the other guy stood near them calmly and Kito relized they were moving. Sudden exuastion overtook him and he collapsed into Temoko’s arms knowing no more as the darkness consumed him.
