Wolf’s Blood:
Grope 2: Requiem:
The feel of drowning in ice cold water had disappeared when the pair of light crimson orbs decided to peered from under the eyelids. On pure instinct, Seven sat up in a defensive stance in a way that she could easily pounced on whoever might want to harm her.
Jumpy much? The white kitten that was defiantly pushing her luck around the young she-wolf mewed from her seat onto of the discarded jean jacket and grey hoodie.
“Where am I?” She slowly moved out of the stance. Her head felt like it just went through a series of jack hammering. As she rubbed her forehead, she felt the cotton bandage that was held down by medicine tape. What has happen now?
The hospital. She began to groom herself out of boredom.
You fainted while running and hit your head on a fire hydrant on your way down. I didn’t see much after that since I was being squished to death by some stupid runt. Okay, that was defiantly mocking.
“Watch it, Fluffy. I may be small for my age but at least I’m bigger then you will ever be in that new form of yours.” She crossed her tattered jean clad legs on the white sterile bed and folded her black clad arms over her black clad chest.
Vivid blue eyes starred at Vivid light crimson. Neither wanted to back down from the contest since it was a contest of pride if anything else.
What happen back there, with Hige? Her pair of blue orbs didn’t even falter as the contest continue. Neither did their opponents.
“Simple, when his fingers touched mine. I unleashed an overflow of memories, from this life and the last one but it doesn’t mean he would remember any of them once all of it settles down.” She gave the short version since the long version would take several weeks to tell and properly explained. Due to the new set of orders, the young tri-colored she-wolf will no doubt have to be more careful in what she say and do.
The white room’s brown tan door open and walked in another player of the game. The tall blonde woman looked exactly like she did the first time around except maybe a little younger looking then before, according to the memories of the one that came before. Then again, this time she wasn’t watching a flower maiden sleep in a highly advance fish bowl. That could be the difference.
“Hi, nice to see that you are awake.” She gave a friendly smile as she stood beside the bed, little puzzled at the staring contest between her newest patient’s and the little white kitten.
“I’m Dr. Cher Degre.” The wolf in human clothing didn’t need to eyes to see that there was a dark brown clip board in the doctor’s latex-covered hand with a pen already clicked for use in between the thin fingers.
“You were found by a Mr. Quent Yaiden-” Both wolf and kitten broke the game and looked at the doctor when she said that name. He’s here?
“-Passed out with a blow to the head. We couldn’t find any id on you and Mr. Yaidan doesn’t know you but still is asking about you.” She looked directly at the girl, waiting for a response.
The tri-colored girl scooted back, her back against the pillow with her legs stretched out in front of her, crossing at the knees and arms still folded. She was prolonging her response, wanting to know what they know so whatever story she gave wouldn’t be too farfetched.
“My name is Seven. My memory is find and the only thing that is out of the ordinary is the bandage on my head.” She gave a direct response, playing it safe as possible.
The blonde doctor wrote down the name, asking if there was a last name. Seven shook her head and said that there were no other name besides that one.
“No close of kin or anyone we could call?”
Seven looked over at the kitten while pulling on a hoop that went through the tip of her left ear and thought about saying that her close of kin was a voice in the Darkness that gives out orders and punishes her by almost drowning her in pool of ice cold water. Just to see what would the human female would say or do. Probably send her to a place where everyone wears robes and pajamas and mutters about aliens that put things inside them.
“ No, and I am old enough not to go to one of those ’Hearts for Humanity’ places for kids.” She decided to go other way. Light crimson eyes rolled back to look at Dr.Degre.
The doctor gave a ‘oh really’ glare before both placing the pen and board on the bed and pulled out a small flashlight. She gently grabbed the round lightly tan chin in one hand and flashed the bright light into the orbs of light blood. The sudden brightness did hurt for a second or two, then before she could get use to the light it moved over to the other eye.
As she blinked out black dots from her line of vision, the blonde doctor wrote down her observations on the paper on the clipboard.
“Am I free to go? I do have some thing to get to.” The voice hates it when Seven doesn’t get right to obeying it’s orders. Another dip in the ice pool was something that didn’t exactly make it to her favorites list.
“Not yet, I would like to know why you have fainted. “ Damn. And she looked to be such a non-nosy person.
“I don’t sleep at nights and I guess it just caught up with me.” She leaped off the bed and grabbed the jacket, Blue the fluffy white kitten jumped up to perched on her now jean clad shoulders.
“Now wait a minute-” Dr. Degre grabbed her unoccupied shoulder in order to stop her patient but Seven caught her off by turning around on her heels and placed her ungloved fingers on the doctor’s lily-white face. Her light crimson eyes turn amber on black as they stared into pools of light blue.
(There’s nothing wrong with me, just a bump on the head.) In chilling voice that wasn’t a voice. The light blue orbs of the good doctor stared wide eyed during the process.
(I’m free to go and you will not be sending me a bill. You will think of me as nothing but some kid that needed a band-aide and a lolly-pop, not even a name on a file.) Then she left ago and snatched the paper with her name on it as she walked out, leaving a stun blonde doctor behind.
What did you do, runt? The amber on black turned back into light crimson while she tore p the piece of paper and tossed the pieces away in a passing trashcan.
“Just a plus of having this curse. She’ll be fine in few minutes.” The she -wolf pocketed her black gloved hands in the pockets of the jean jacket as she walked her way down the halls, hoping that an exit would present itself.
You didn’t say anything about Pops being alive. The kitten sounded sad and forlorn in the statement.
“It didn’t matter, he wouldn’t know you.” Sometimes it just hurts to know things and couldn’t do anything about them, unless you do want to swim in ice cold water.
She took a swipe at the ear, hitting the side of the light tan neck. That was expected. It took a full ten seconds to realized that they were being followed as the young watcher tries to find a way out of the hospital. Seven just didn’t let been know till they all were back outside.
“You know, I don’t even like my own shadow following me so..” the wolf in human skin turned around to face the old wolf hunter for the first time since seeing him in the memories of the one that came before.
He stepped back, uneasy about how those light blood pools stared at him. Studying him, figuring him out, planning something.
“I’m not giving a ‘thank you’ either.”
The old man gave a snort and said something about how young children these days were ruder then ever.
“Yeah, but I don’t really give a fuck about kids these days.” She turned back around and continue walking. No doubt, have to run in order to catch with her duties.
“If you don’t stop following wolves, then you’ll end up dead.” She warned, despite the rules of the game. The old hunter was confused and lost, so it wasn’t entirely his fault how things ended before.
They had to pull the pushie teen out of the diner before the police was called. Without Tsume’s help. He had and wanted nothing to do with punks that he didn’t know. Hige was out of his shock and was screaming and convulsing. The rush of memories, present life mixing those of old ones, were not a very pleasant thing to experience.
The two of them took the poor guy into a nearby empty allay and carefully laid him down upon the dirty asphalt.
“What do we do, now? He doesn’t seem to stop shaking and he’s getting pale.” The auburn boy asked, looking up at the brunet teen that was hiding behind a mask of seriousness when in fact he was scared shitless.
“If I were you two, I would have taken him to the hospital by now.” The white haired man said in such a smug tone.
“Then be helpful and called them then.” Kibe all but growled out the words. “if not then shut-up and stay out of it.”
Serious dark blue challenged tough gold amber.
“Let’s not fight till after we take care of this first, huh guys?” The runt really didn’t want a fight to break out right now.
“Ah, let the boys duke it. Please, I need the entrainment. “ The kitten trotted out first, quickly rushing to convulsing sand haired teen. Then was followed by the tri-colored girl who just walked out from the shadows as if she didn’t just run a few miles and leap from building to building. Appearance was everything.
“You!” The tall brunet growled and in one flash move, had the much smaller girl pinned up against the rough outside wall of the nearby building with the collar of her jacket in his hands.
“You did this!” He flashed pure white teeth, some actually changed to fangs. His inner wolf was showing. Fin-fucking-al-ly!
Seven didn’t show fear nor felt anything. She calmingly stared back, even smirked at the threat.
“Wait, about a few more minutes.” She whispered. “A rush like that only hurts for a short period of time and then nothing but a few ticks.” Speaking from experiences, hers as well others.
Hige stopped screaming and a few minutes later stopped shaking. He still held himself but his eyes were now able to see outside his mind.
“See, he’s peachy now.” She nodded to the sandy haired teen. But only serious blue eyes didn’t look away from the girl.
The pushie teen muttered something and Toboe asked what was it that he said. Seven’s smirked turned into a surprised frown. She had heard what he had say, she and blue both but there were no fucking way that past lives’ memories had stayed instead of going back beyond the big steel door, where they were supposed to be.
“Wolves. You, me, her. “ He looked up, almost mirrored Kibe’s serious face. “We were once wolves.”
“Not once, my dear.” She corrected, might as well get this part over with. The Darkness, again does not like to be disobeyed.
“Still are, but for this round. Karma, Fate, whoever is in control decided to make you fools believe that you are humans instead of wolves but I am here to fix that and to be your guide.” And the Oscar goes to…
The brunet teen dropped the girl to the ground but kept his eyes on her, like the other pairs of eyes. Only Toboe asked the question of the hour.
“To where?”
She smiled, a fake kind one since this wasn’t kind but more along the lines of sending limbs to the slaughter, or wolves if to be technical.
“To Paradise.”
