Chapter Two

Disclaimer- I do not own any of the characters from Witch Hunter Robin, nor do I own Witch Hunter Robin.

I saw with my own eyes what she had seen

I looked through myself to figure out what she meant by hope

I knew that what she told me was in her dream

She told me something that made me choke…

…She was born again….

Chapter Two

“Tell me, child, tell me everything…”

“Father, I do not know where to begin. It is too complicated. I fear that he-he will hear me…”

“You are in the House of God, no one can harm you as long as you are here.”

“But Father, he has ways of treachery and tricks that could even make a blind man weep…I fear him Father, I really fear him.”

“You are safe. No one will harm you. God will protect you.”

“…I do not know how to start, it’s all too confusing.”

“Start from the beginning, child. Start there.”

…” It all started a week ago, when that boy came here. He had said he wanted to court m-m..my friend…”

The Father could tell that this person, whoever they were, was not being completely honest. But listened patiently to the story that was being told.

“…My friend said she would be back soon, but she never returned. She never came home.”

Weeping could be heard, but the Father continued on with his patience.

“She never came home. Her family was so worried, especially her father. He was furious…his rage”, the confessor continued with their confession as though the Father wasn’t there, “ I have never seen him so angry before. His rage was something I had never seen before. If she had been alive, she would’ve been scared too.”

“…Whom are you talking about?”

The confessor jumped, they did not realize that they were not alone.

“It was my friends father…”

The Father nodded his head, although the person on the other side could not see due to the wooden wall separating them.

“…Is there anything else you wish to confess?”

The confessor shook their head, ‘No.”

“Very well then, your sins are no longer apart of you…”

“…Wait, there is something else that I haven’t said…I need you to listen well Father.”

The Father sat up right once more.

“Pass this message on to Father Juliano, tell him that Maria is dead. She wanted me to pass the message, but I couldn’t find him, so please, tell him that Maria is dead.”

His heart stopped, breath caught in throat. His Maria…dead?

“When did you hear of this?”, his voice shaken.

“She died yesterday, while giving birth to a child…The father wanted you to come to the burial, but the news didn’t travel that fast. He didn’t want it to.”

The Father began to weep silently.

“But she made one last request…she wanted Juliano to come and look after the child. The father left right after the funeral. The child is waiting for you in an orphanage in Japan.”

“…Very well then, I will see to it that Father Juliano receives this message….”

The door to the confession booth was opened then closed as the confessor made their way to the front doors. The Father was still inside. How could he have not known this would happen? At least he knew that Maria was in a better place. She was up there with God. She would be protected from anything that tried to harm her.

The Father stepped out from the confession booth, making his way to the pedestal to relight the candles. His Maria, dead. She had died giving birth to a child, a child that would grow up without parents. If he did not retrieve his grandchild, it would be considered the Devil’s Child, an abomination from Hell…

“…Father Juliano, Father Juliano…’

He looked up and saw his missionary, Father Raphael. He seemed quite agitated, almost like he was followed here.

“What is it Raphael?”

…”The grave, it has been desecrated….”

Father Juliano’s heart stopped.

A/N- well another chapter has been completed, and I always leave each chapter at a cliffhanging moment. Either way, it’s all good. You may have guessed at some point that the confessor was Maria, which was somewhat true, because I wanted to do it that way, but then I thought, make it someone else so that it could be confusing, and then unravel at the end. I am planning to make this a three-part fic, so Robin and Amon will come in the second part…and umm, *cough cough* continue from there. If you didn’t understand the *cough*, it means that there will be lemons…LEMONADE!!!!!! HAHAHAHA
