Chapter 2.

" Hey stupid cat, what's wrong with you this past month? Seem you become very restless, and you challenge me to fight more than the usual. " Yuki ask Kyo the reason why he's restless, while also pretend uncaring.

Kyo's restless condition really worried Yuki, even Tohru that dense also notice this condition. Yuki decided asked to Kyo, what's making him restless. Yuki asked this question on their way home after school, because Tohru have a part-time job, so Yuki when home only with Kyo. For Yuki this is the opportunity to asked Kyo.

" Shut up, you damn rat! It's nothing to do with you! Mind your own business and leave me alone! " Kyo answer angrily, really Kyo doesn't want to look weak in front Yuki. One requirement of agreement with Akito, Yuki isn't allowed to know about the agreement.

Yuki decided not to pressure Kyo to answer him, because he knows that only agitate Kyo more. The two walk silently side by side, not really comfortable but just silence. Until when they see Akito stand in front the house door. Fear starts flow in Yuki's heart. All memories of abuse that he receive from Akito came back to surface in the back of his head.

" Yuki, so nice to see you. It's been a while since you visit me. " Akito greet Yuki, his tone of voice is smooth but there's malevolence in it.

" Although it's nice to meet you, but today I come to talk with Kyo. Yuki, I want you to visit me and have tea sometimes. " Akito speak again, then Yuki realize Akito here not here for him but for Kyo.

Yuki took a glance to Kyo, then it hit him, Kyo look frightened. He look very pale, as if all blood been drawn out from his face. For the first time in his life, Yuki saw fear in Kyo. There's no defiant Kyo, only frightened child, a mirror of his look everytime he saw Akito.

Suddenly Kyo walk away, follow Akito to the wood, but he also hear Kyo whispering " I'll be Ok. Don't worry. " But Yuki have a hunch that something going to happen, and it's not good. He had feeling that Kyo will be taken away, away from him. So he does the first thing that's in his mind, he run to the house and search for Shigure.

" Come on follow me, cat. " Akito said before he walk to the wood of Souma property. Its break Kyo from his frightened trance.

" I'll be ok. Don't worry. " Kyo manage whisper to Yuki just right before he follow Akito. Kyo saw worries in Yuki's face, and he want to ease it away, he doesn't need the rat to worrying about him, he really care about the rat and he doesn't want to burden him.

' What's Akito want from me? I thought I still had 3 more weeks. Is time has run out and I had to be lock in the cage. It can't be, I still had 3 more weeks! ' Kyo thinks franticly, fear start to creep in his heart, he's scare.

" Don't worry I'm not here to tell you that time is run out. You still had 3 more weeks. Although I know that won't make any difference at all. " Akito said coldly to Kyo.

" But I'm also not come just to say that impossible for the cat to defeat the rat. I'm here to give you another proposition. I know you must be desperate to keep your freedom. I know you still want to keep hang around Honda-san. I can see you want to go to college. This proposition might allow you to do that. You don't have to be in the cage for the rest of lifetime. " Akito said in sweet voice but there's malevolence in it.

" I can maintain my freedom? What do you want me to in return? " Kyo asked, he doesn't believe in Akito word.

" Ah...I see you've learn there's nothing free thing in this world. Yes, you don't have to live in the cage. You can hang around with friends or something. You even go to college. But in return you must move to main house area, more precisely to Hatori place. As you see Hatori only live with Momiji, he's family doctor, so he also very busy. All that you have to do only taking care all the necessities there, especially Hatori's. " Akito explain the proposition.

" So in return for my freedom, you want me to move to Hatori's place and become servant? Why don't you hire maid, Souma family is rich enough to hire maid. " Kyo said, he doesn't believe in Akito proposition.

" Yes, Souma family is rich enough to hire maid. But like I said it's taking care all necessities, that including Hatori's PERSONAL necessities. So not a maid more like a spouse. I'll give you your freedom, and you've got to do is become spouse for Hatori. " Akito explain again to Kyo.

" What? Hatori is straight guy, maybe a female jyunishi more suit for Hatori's spouse. I doubt Hatori will agree with this arrangement. " Kyo surprise with true meaning of the proposition.

" I can assurance you, there no such thing as straight guy in jyunishi. Yes, I can just give this role to one of female jyunishi, but I really care for your being. I know that there's no way that you can defeat the rat in 3 weeks. This offer can guarantee your freedom. Honda-san would sad if you're locked, and she'll blame herself, thus can bring depression. Kazuma will sad too, he would feel like useless because he can't save you. You don't have to think what's behind this proposition. Just think this as a way to keep your freedom. And you don't have to worry, Hatori will agree with arrangement. Or maybe I should give this proposition to female jyunishi, and just lock you in the cage when this 3 weeks times over, because I'm sure you could never defeat Yuki. " Akito said again, he doesn't even try to hide the evilness in his voice, then he start to walk away.

Kyo really feel there's more about this proposition than what Akito explain Letting Kyo keep his freedom only just to act as spouse for Hatori doesn't really make sense. It's too easy, and Kyo knows Akito planning for something. But the same time Kyo can see this proposition as his way to maintain his freedom. He realize long ago that he couldn't defeat Yuki.

" ....Wait, I'll take your offer. But you'll let me go to college, and I don't have to be lock in the cage, do I? " Kyo decide to take the offer, he knows that this is trap, but right now this proposition the only way for maintain his freedom. Whatever will happen later, he'll think it later. Right now the most important thing that he can stay away from the cage.

" Good, I know you'll see thing the way I want it. Yes you can go to college and I won't lock you in the cage, I'll even let you hang around with you friend, and have job after college, I expect you to move in a day after graduation. Another thing, you aren't allowed to tell others about this agreement. " Akito said again, after that he walk away and leaving Kyo behind.

Kyo knows that by taking the proposition, he's succumb to Akito's will. He realize that it will change all his life, now he's tied to the agreement, tied to Hatori. But taking the proposition also the only way he knows that can make him escape the fate of being lock away, the only way he knows to keep his freedom. By taking this agreement he doesn't have to be lock in cage like some animal. He can go to college, he can hang around with Tohru. Akito even going to let him to have job after college. This couldn't be bad.
