Chapter 2
Can We Live with Our Mistake (part two)
(Author’s note-part two of our lovely story. This was one of my favorite parts to write cuz it was ridiculously hilarious; but I’m one for sick humor so…read on.)
DING-DONG!
Touya dropped his rag in surprise. Last he checked neither he nor Sakura was expecting anyone. So who would…?
DING-DONG!
“Hai, Hai, I’m comin’, I’m comin’!”
He flew open the door muttering a few curse words under his breath which all got caught in his throat when he came face-to-face with a silvery-haired boy with a smiling pair of eyes.
“Yuki…”
“Touya! I thought I’d surprise you and stop by! You father said that he was going out of town this week…how is Sakura-Chan taking to it?”
Every word Yukito was saying seem to be going through one ear and out the other for Touya. Why WAS Yuki here? Why now of all times? Mostly, why during when he was trying to remove the stain from the…
(The stain)
He had left it in the open and forgotten to cover it. He HAD to get Yuki away from it.
“Um…Touya. May I come in, or are you going to keep blocking the door like that?”
“Hai, demo…not in the living room.”
“Why not?”
“Sakura made a mess with her toys in there.”
Yukito just chuckled and smiled. “Don’t be silly Touya, Sakura-Chan grew out of playing with toys a long time ago.”
“I made tea.”
“Oh? Well why didn’t you say so? The kitchen it is.”
Touya breathed a sigh of relief as he watched his best friend march to the kitchen. True, he had made tea…earlier that morning. However, whatever it took, Yuki could not know the truth of what was really going on. He would never forgive him…ever.

Sakura stared at the stain with a lost expression and mixed emotions. Why had he not cleaned it? Why was it still here? Does he want them to get in trouble? Maybe, for some sick reason, he’s keeping it there…
“No that’s not the Oni-Chan I know!”
She walked over to the hallway closet and retrieved an old sheet. She threw it over the couch gracefully, tucking it at all corners and edges.
“Bye, bye stain.”
She paused as she began to hear voices coming from the kitchen. Was her father back? Why was her brother shouting? She heard whomever it was turn the corner.
“Touya, just let me use the restroom. If it really bothers you that much; I’ll go down the street and use the one at the library.”
“Yuki…you can’t…”
He paused when he saw Sakura. His eyes flickered for a moment- as if he were remembering something-but just as quick darted over to the ‘now protected’ couch. He sighed in relief and finally began to breathe at a normal pace once more. Sakura, finally keyed in onto what was going on, began to pitch in on a story of her own.
“Oni-Chan doesn’t know what he’s talking about Yukito-San! You can use our bathroom anytime!”
Not exactly the best story, but then again-it was Sakura. Touya chose to put on his usually act of folding his arms across his chest and rolling his eyes at his sister. Yukito smiled sweetly at her then replied back.
“That’s quite alright Sakura-Chan. I guess I can really wait until I get home to wash my face.”
With that, he waltzed over to the couch with his cup of tea in hand and sat down. Now, normally this would have been an okay action-if Yukito wasn’t sitting on Sakura’s previous splurge! They both watched in horror as Yukito shifted to make himself comfortable, snuggling himself more back and more into and against the cushions. Touya cast a quick glance at his sister whom looked as if she would burst into tears at any second. He cast his glance back at Yukito-whom now looked distraught by the looks he was getting.
“Yuki…you’re…”
“What is it, Touya? Did I do something wrong?”
At this point, the road seemed to have become a fork. Touya had a choice to make between his sister and his best friend. As deep as he was already in, he already knew the decision he was about to make.
“Yuki, you should leave.”
“Why? What did I do?”
I can’t explain it right now. It’s just best if you leave.”
Instead of the outbursting reaction he was expecting; Yukito just gave a small sad smile, put down his cup of tea, and stood up. He made his way to the door giving Sakura a pat on the head as he passed her.
“I understand Touya. I will leave now. Demo, please think about what you are doing okay? Don’t hurt her or yourself.”
With those parting words, he walked out the door and shut it behind him-leaving both of them shocked and speechless.
(Author’s note-oh he knows, he knows! Anyways, that was fast ne? I doubt the next chapter will be, too bad cuz it was suppose to be a lemon. Oh well, until next time, ja! )
