Help from Buchou
Title: Mount Fuji
Chapter 2 (I intended to make this a one-shot, but inspiration struck.)
Pairing: TezukaxMomoshiro
Word Count: 359
Rating: PG maybe PG-13 for adult themes-ish
Summary: Momoshiro goes to the Buchou this time for help, but his English hasn't improved much..
Tezuka raised an eyebrow at the purple Ponta stains on the sheet that Momoshiro had handed him. He wasn't quite certain how he had ended up with the task of helping Momoshiro study, but had a sneaking suspicion that Fuji was somehow behind the sudden excuses as to why no one else could help the younger player.
"I think that I have this down, I just want to run over it with you so that I don't make a fool of myself during the test. I do that enough as it is." Momshiro rubbed the back of his head as he laughed at his own joke. Tezuka simply stared at him blankly, hoping to finish this quickly. "Okay, so I have to set up an activity with you. Picking a time and place." Momoshiro glanced at his vocabulary sheet and again at the prompt, not wanting to cause the same reaction that he had the last time he tried this. Not that Tezuka would spit Ponta at him, but he might just get up and walk away.
"Proceed Momoshiro-kun."
"Righ. Here goes." Momoshiro took a deep breath, then turned his full attention to Tezuka. "I want to mate* with you at Mount Fuji next Saturday." Tezuka's expression never changed, which Momoshiro took as a good sign. "So, how was I?"
"The word is pronounced 'meet', Momoshiro, not 'mate'." The captain stood, passing the sheet back to his kohai. As he passed Momoshiro on his way out of the room, Tezuka's hand slid onto Momo's shoulder. "I'll expect you at my house at one p.m. sharp. Bring train fair, and a towel." The hand on his shoulder tightened slightly before sliding off, causing a faint shiver to run down Momoshiro's spine. The captain walked off then, not glancing back, leaving a very confused Momoshiro in his wake.
"Aw, man. What did I say now?" Packing his things away Momoshiro decided that he would have to go see Inui again. Or, as much as he hated to think about it, maybe Kaidoh had some pointers, he was doing much better in English, not that Momoshiro would admit that out loud.
AN: *For those who are unfamiliar with Japanese the roman letter 'e' is translated as a hard 'a' sound, like if you were simply saying the letter 'a'.
I hope you enjoyed it!
