"I don't know about this town's school, dad. From what I know, it is plagued with a street gang who go by the name of the Yellow Dragons. Since I won't know anyone there I may not survive the first day!" JoshKarthing, a boy of seventeen who was skinny as a rail and wore glasses,complains to his dad. He wasn't much to look at. "I seriously doubt they've got that much control of the school. There's just too many students to bully them all. Someone there has had to have taken a stand." Mr. Karthing says trying to ease his son's fears. Mr. Karthing had kept his son in the public school system because he did not want Josh to be as socially outcasted as he was. Viktor Karthing had never been taught by a teacher until he went to college. Learning that his son would need more than the family intellect to survive, he decided his son would learn how to be around others. Josh decided to drop it because he knew that his dad was stuck on this and would never change his mind. He just hoped that he would find at least one who wasn't afraid of these thugs. He walks out the door smiling as he double checks to make sure he had a little something for those dragons.

"Well, another semester of victims boys," Leo says to the rest of the Yellow dragons. They were hanging around outside of the school waiting on any new students to come by and become the next victim.
"I hope we don't go up against that Lee Shaoran again. The last time he single
handedly got away from us! He always is around Sakura so we can't even touch her." one of the other guys says looking around to see if Lee was nearby.

"I'm guessing that you're not the welcoming committee?" Josh asks discreetly reaching into his pocket to make sure that he had brought the stun needle gun. Most of these thugs looked like that they could do him a great deal of bodily harm, so he would need that particular weapon.
"Looks like you'll be the first to get a beat down today." Leo says pounding his fist into the palm of his other hand. If it was one thing Leo liked it was beating up the helpless and weak.
"Why don't you try and fight someone that can punch back?" a male voice says from behind them. From Josh's reaction it seemed that he knew the owner of the voice. The Yellow Dragons turn to see a kid that looked as if he were built out of brick. He stood almost two heads taller than Leo. His piercing blue eyes stared a hole in the leader of the dragons. Leo could tell that there was muscle hidden under that shirt, but he would not be intimidated by some blond foreign exchange student.
"You're just one over grown foreigner who should learn to stay out of business that he has no right to be sticking his nose in." Leo says coming closer to the new kid.
"I just thought I could give you a more fitting opponent." the new kid says not backing down from Leo..
"Let's get him!" Leo barks out to the rest of the Yellow Dragons, and they attack the new comer. Josh, knowing that his friend could handle himself, just watches as the blond student took on all 12 members of the Yellow Dragons. The dragons thought they had the upper hand because of the numbers, but Lee had been watching the proceedings and joins in to even the odds.
"Oh well, I might as well get my hands dirty myself. I'm just glad I walked to school, or dad would have made sure I wasn't carrying anything." Josh says as he pulls out a small stun needle gun that he made last night and jumped into the fight.
"Damn, the geek has got some sort of weapon! Let's get out of here now!" Leo says and the gang retreats, dragging their downed comrades along with them, to fight another day. All three boys look at one another to see which one of them would go first.
"Is that what happens to all new students around here? I'm Josh by the way and yes I did get myself into trouble once again Wulf. It wasn't a fair fight." Josh says turning to Wulf and giving the boy an appreciative smile.
"Hey, what are friends for? We've been bailing each other out since kindergarten." Wulf says returning Josh's smile.
I'm "Lee," he introduces noting that the other two boys know each other.
"The way you were able to handle those guys I believe you know more about them." Wulf says. turning to Lee.
"I'VE been here a semester, so I'll fill you in on these Yellow Dragons." Lee says as the three boys go inside.
"They sound like a group of common thugs." Wulf says after hearing Lee's explanation.
"They are going through too much just to get one girl." Josh adds as they turn a corner.
"Leo is the driving force for them to get Sakura. So, not only am I her boyfriend but I also am her body guard." Lee says wondering if Meilin had shown up yet or not. Josh and Wulf slow their pace down in order to talk to one another.
"I'm not sure, but I think there's something magical about Lee." Wulf says quietly to Josh.
"Magical?" Josh questions.
"It's obvious he is on the side of light, but if he is a mage then it is no coincidence that the two of us have met up with him."
"I've learned to trust your instincts Wulf." Josh says and the pair catches up to Lee.
"Who's homeroom do you two have?" Lee asks.
"A Mr. Greg Lorrey," Wulf answers.
"He has taken over Ms. Toliver's homeroom. I think that she's now the homeroom teacher of most of the Yellow Dragons." Lee says as the three continue down the hall.

The six, Sakura, Lee, Wulf, Meilin, Madison, and Josh, were sitting down to have lunch. "Don't you have anything better to do than to throw food at me?" Lee says getting up and turns to face Leo.
"Yeah, I do," Leo says putting on a pair of brass knuckles, "Beating your face in!" he says and swings. Lee knew that was coming as well so he dodges the blow.
"Ya missed, now, here's how you throw a real punch." Lee says punching Leo right in the mouth. This act gives the rest of the dragons the right to attack. They do, but
Wulf and Meilin quickly get into the brawl as well. The two had silently that they would use the gang to prove which one of them was the better fighter.
"Is this how it is everyday?" Josh asks recovering the ability to talk in front of Madison.
"It's always like this. Fights in the morning, fights at lunch, and
fights after school." Sakura says watching the other three try to make the dragons back down. One of the bigger guys came over to where the three remaining friends were. The larger dragon grabs Madison, but before he could do anything,

"Thanks,." Madison says smiling at him. Josh just stands there turning red. Back at the fight, three of the dragons were down already. Wulf and Meilin were finally working together on something. From the bushes, two pairs of eyes look on at the battle. One seemed calm about the use of magic, but the other pair was shocked to see such a display.
"To know that magic exists is one thing, but to actually see it in action is a whole other matter." Josh says watching the pair of mages let loose their fire attacks.
"that is one old vampire. He might have been around even before Vampires were widely known about. This one is having trouble keeping his powers contained inside his body. You ready?" Wulf asks readying his hammer.


"Yeah, I thought our hero days were over."
"Hm, it's never over." Wulf says twisting the handle which allows the blade to come out of its sheaf. "A hammer-wooden stake combination, they don't make them like this."
"I am the only one who could make such a ridiculously low tech weapon."
"And you have such a talent for making them. Now, let's help our friends." Wulf says and the two start to head into the fray.
Akurax now had gotten the advantage and was heading for Sakura, but a battle cry was let loose and he felt a wooden stake almost pierce him. Akurax had barely escaped that attack, but then he felt his legs freeze to the ground. The ice creeps up his body freezing him half way up.
"What sort of sorcery is this?!" the vampire shrieks out.
"It's not magic, it's technology." Josh states cutting off the freeze ray.
'Damn it, there were more heroes in this town than I thought. I must retreat!' Akurax thinks and vanishes with the ice still coating his body. the two boys turn to the others. Meilin sighed, she should have known that Wulf would find out, but Josh, that wasn't expected at all.
"All right, we'll go to my place and fill Josh and Wulf in. You coming stuffed animal?" Lee asks cutting the air and the green portal appears.
"Yeah, but I don't think that both guardians need to be there." Kero says looking at Yue.
"I'll return to Julian's," Yue says and launches himself into the air.

Wulf and Josh listen to the other four telling the story about the
cards, and now the apparent arrival of Akurax. Wulf appeared unfazed while Josh's eyes bugged out. All that had happened was real, but for a genius the concepts were hard to grasp.
