School Daze
Alright, I made it to chapter 2! I know there's still no lemony goodness yet, I promise there will be later on. Enjoy the chapter! ^___^
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning his mother made him some breakfast. He quickly eats his toast, eggs and drinks his orange juice. He quickly heads out the door with his school supplies.
“Damn, I hate going to school.” he mutters to himself as he walks.
When he arrives at the school he sits by himself alone in the English classroom. A couple of girls notice him sitting there and come over to join him. They are making quite a commotion over him. He doesn’t say a word when this is happening.
“Akame-kun, how was your weekend?” squealed a girl named Ami.
Akame lies his head down on the desk and hides his face between his folded arms, avoiding contact with the others. He completely ignores the group of girls and falls into another deep sleep.
The sleep doesn’t last long because he is shaken awake by someone. He slowly lifts his head up to see what’s going on.
“Akame, wake up!” the boy yelled in his ear.
“Do you have to yell right in my ear Kuran? Geez, I was just beginning to sleep.” shouted Akame.
“Well, sorry for being alive! I just wanted to let you know what you missed in class while you were asleep.” Kuran said disgusted.
Akame stared at Kuran for a second and he started to walk to his next class, which just happened to be art.
“Akame, how’s your school work coming along?” asked Mrs. Haru
“It’s fine, you don’t need to worry about me. As long as I’m passing that’s all that matters to me.” Akame smiled.
Mrs. Haru smiled at Akame and walked back to her classroom. She was waiting for students to get there to begin teaching them.
As Akame walked to the classroom he realized that it was quite loud. He leaned back in his chair and put his feet up on the desk.
“Alright class, get out your books and turn to page 275. We’re going to be reading about famous artists.” announced Mr. Akira.
“This is lame. Who gives a damn about them and what’s so great about them anyway? I don’t care about the past, we’re in the future now.” sighed Akame.
Mr. Akira was writing a note on the blackboard for the class to copy down. Akame didn’t feel like writing it down, so instead he doodled in his notebook.
When class had finally ended Akame started to walk to the cafeteria. He ordered a small pepperoni pizza and a medium blue raspberry slushie. He sat alone at a table in the back. Kuran slowly walked over to the table and sat down across from him.
“What happened yesterday?” asked Kuran.
“Mother hit me again.” sighed Akame.
“What did you do this time?” Kuran asked concerned.
“Well, I was sleeping in the alleyway, I came home late and she went into a rage about her and Dad. She acted like it was my fault.” stated Akame.
Akame began eating his pizza and he was thinking about next class. Kuran was happily eating his hamburger and noticed that something was bothering Akame.
“Dude, are you still bummed out about it?” asked Kuran.
Kuran walked over to Akame, put his arm around him and told him not to worry to much about it. He told him he’d try to make things right again.
The bell started to ring, Akame quickly stood up and ran out of the cafeteria, to his next class. Drama was his favorite class and he wouldn’t miss it for the world.
While he ran to drama, thoughts of what Kuran had said when through his mind. What did he mean by “try to make things right again?” Why does he seem so concerned about me? He thought to himself.
When he walked into the room he could hear someone acting out a seen from Shakespeare. The stage was all lit up and when a light shone on the subject’s face, Akame realized it was Mr. Toya.
The students in the classroom all began to applaud for Mr. Toya. He bowed and went over to the blackboard .
“Today we will continue rehearsing our skits from the play Late November.” Mr. Toya said excitedly.
Akame dug into his backpack to retrieve his skit booklet. Mr. Toya had assigned each of them a character and a role, the other day. Akame ended up with the role of the prince. He wasn’t at all sure if he’d be able to pull this part off or not. It was well worth a shot and what did he have to lose?
Mr. Toya had everyone come to the front of the stage to begin. Akame was the first to approach the stage and he seemed a bit nervous. He held up the skit in his hands and read a few lines from it.
“I wish to be a much wealthier man than my father and take his place one day as king!” Akame said proudly.
“How do you wish to achieve this?” asked a girl named Reika.
“First I’ll send over my men to take down his fortress and then I’ll kill them all!” replied Akame.
Mr. Toya was playing the part of the narrator and he did an excellent job. Akame admired the way he described what was going on in the play.
“Alright. That’s enough for today. Bring your skits on Monday!” bellowed Mr. Toya.
The bell rang and everyone dashed out of the classroom, all except for Akame. He wanted to stay behind to help Mr. Toya tidy up the classroom.
“Akame, thank you for helping me out today. You were a big help and it just made my day a whole lot better.” smiled Mr. Toya.
Akame waved goodbye to Mr. Toya. He was having a pretty good day, despite of what had occurred lastnight.
“See you later Akame! Have a good weekend and don’t forget to study your skit.” Mr. Toya reminded him.
Finally, it was almost the end of the day. His last class was Japanese. He doesn’t really mind this class too much, but he wants to keep his perfect attendance record alive.
“Hirusugi. (Afternoon)” replied Ms. Yuki
“Konnichi wa! (Hello)” said the students.
“Kyoo was watachi daro o kyookasho o roodoku suru. (Today, we will read a textbook aloud)” instructed Ms. Yuki.
Everyone sighed and groaned, all except for Akame who really wanted to learn as much of the language as he could. He’s the top student in the class and he enjoys every minute of it.
“Kekkoo na kurasu toki jikan eni iku katee jitaku! (Alright class, time to go home)” replied Ms. Yuki.
