His and his four best friends friend, Mia, became good friends with Ryo's crush's half-sister.
Her half-sister and her half-sister's husband went to Japan for a one month summer vacation.
Mia was kind enough to help them around Japan since it was their first time there. She also helped them on how to speak Japanese since they only knew little of it.
From there, Mia and A became fast friends.They kept in contact since then; sent B-day cards, e-mails, and or letters to each other. They would sometimes call as well.
