Yama Arc, Chapter 2
Hey, Sage here. Just to reiterate: because Mokona isn\'t around, they can\'t understand what the other is saying. Oh, and it wasn\'t until I wrote the bit about Fai using Kurogane instead of being used like last time that I decided to write a King Ashura/Fai piece. It\'ll be done as a prequel and I\'ll put it up after the Infinity Arc. And just to be clear, I\'ll differentiate between the Shura Ashura and the Ceres Ashura by using Ashura-o and King Ashura respectively.
Yama Arc, Chapter 2
Having lived the life that he had, Fai knew all about sex. And being as observant as he was, he was pretty sure he knew which way Kurogane swung.
Which led him to a most delightfully diabolical plan.
The only problem was how to initiate…
Despite the most of a day that he was given to contemplate his dilemma, however, (both of them being too stubborn to succumb to sleep or hunger) Fai had yet to think of a good lead in to his idea. He resigned himself to waiting until after the nightly battle for the opportune moment.
This was not to be the case.
As he shifted his weight to get up and get ready to join Yasha-o in front of the castle, Kurogane was suddenly in front of him.
“You’re not goin’ anywhere, mister.”
This, Fai understood. Kurogane’s tone and body language said very clearly what his words didn’t. So he did the opposite of what he was being told. He stood and started towards the door. He didn’t get half a step before Kurogane’s hand was on his chest and he was being shoved back onto the couch. Kurogane pointed at his nose.
“Stay!”
The meaning of this was also quite clear. So the blonde flashed a grin and rolled sideways, ducking under the taller man’s reaching arm and making a dash for the door. He was too slow. The door was only cracked open when it slammed shut and Fai found the entire weight of his counterpart pressing him against the doorjam and wall, his arm pinned above the elbow.
“Ooh, Kuro-rii!” Fai cooed.
“Listen you! You’re not going anywhere until I know that you won’t just let yourself get killed because you just don’t care, or to spite me. And if you can’t understand me then I guess we’ll just have to stay here.”
Fai wasn’t quite sure what to do. The fear previously in Kurogane’s eyes was now present in his voice. He turned his head to the side and showed his confusion.
“Kuro-sama…..?” Kurogane pushed away from him with a grunt of frustration and stomped halfway back to the couch before turning around and stomping back to the door, grabbing the sides of Fai’s face, and pressing their lips together.
Fai froze. Whatever he had been expecting, that wasn’t it.
When Kurogane broke the contact, he looked like he was about to choke on something. Seeing Fai’s blank look, he snarled and punched just to the side of his head, leaving a fractured, fist sized crater in the wall. He stormed to the table, kicked one of the chairs until it burst in to kindling, and threw a second one across the room.
“You of all people should be able to figure that one out! Damn you! This is all your fault!”
Fai watched the tantrum impassively as he reviewed his options.
He could turn the proud warrior down. Act hurt and angry. Kurogane was obviously having some great inner battle with himself over this issue and to be rejected so soon after admitting something so controversial would devastate him. But he didn’t want to destroy the man’s effectiveness as a warrior, and he had the feeling that a wound like that would fester and cause worse problems in the future.
He could laugh it off, pretend he thought Kurogane was joking. But that would have much the same consequences as the first plan and it wouldn’t be nearly as fun.
Or he could go with it. Though he had iron control, his body had needs that hadn’t been met since Ceres. But this wouldn’t be the same. It would be him using Kurogane to satisfy himself, not the other way around. And it would just be physical. No emotional attachement this time.
He could never admit to himself that if he hurt Kurogane, he would be hurting his own heart.
