Chapter 2: Down the black-hole
At the crack of dawn the day Heero gets a knock on his door. Heero lays there for a moment hoping that the knocker will go away. They don’t they start using the door knocker instead. Heero pulls his covers off and tosses his legs over the side of the door. His feet dragging over the carpet, He had spent all night writing up and sending Une a report of what happened on the flight. And it seemed like he had just closed his eyes. Right before Heero’s hand gets on the door, the knocking turns into ringing, who ever is at the door is now ringing the doorbell. Heero jerks the door open. The figure stands there with his mouth slightly open. His eyes fixed on Heero’s lower half. “What do you want Duo?” asks Heero. Duo doesn’t answer, if anything his jaw drops lower. Heero looks down to see what Duo is looking at. All he sees is his normal sleeping attire, a pair of loose boxers. These just happened to be his black silk pair. Heero clears his throat and lightly closes Duo’s mouth. “Want to come in Duo?” Duo nods lightly and walks in.

As Duo walks in Heero finally notices what he’s wearing. A muscle shirt and a pair of tight fitting cut off blue jeans, cut high enough for the tips of the front pockets to poke out. Heero gulps a bit and sits with Duo on the bed. “So what brought you to my room at this early hour?”

“oh umm..”says Duo, sounding like he’s coming out of a trance. “I wanted to know if you wanted to go down to the beach with me? Maybe look around town afterwards?” Duo puts a big smile on his face, showing Heero all his pretty white teeth.

“Sure Duo, let me change and I’ll be right with you.” Says Heero. He walks over to his dresser and pulls a few cloths out. He then goes into the bathroom. He slides down his boxers, the silk gliding down his legs. Heero then pulls on a pair of orange swimming shorts, the bottoms ending just above the knee. Heero then puts on a white tank top. He walks out the door and hears a gasp. He looks at Duo and his mouth is open again. Heero walks over to Duo and closes his mouth again. “Better be careful Duo, you face might freeze that way.”

Duo blinks a few times and lightly shakes his head, “Come on Heero let’s go and find a spot on the beach. The others will be down later, Quatra needed to shower, Trowa needed to shave and Wufei said he needed to do his morning exercises.”

“Well let’s go then, we don’t want all the good spots to be taken.” Says Heero, putting out his hand for Duo to grab.

Duo grabs Heero’s hand and pulls himself up. “Thanks Heero, Hawaii here we come!” Says Duo letting go of Heero’s hand.

Heero and Duo walk out of the hotel, their bare feet warming up on the already hot pavement. “This feels nice Heero, I’ve never really taken time to do this before.” Says Duo placing his hands behind his head as he walks.
“Neither have I.” Says Heero, they look at each other and smile.

“Well then, race you to the beach.” Says Duo, dropping his hands.

“You’re on.” Says Heero.

Both young men instantly start running, like a bullet from gun. Heero makes it to the stairs first but Duo hops onto the handrail, Duo flies past Heero. Heero then starts lunging down the stairs. With a quick flight, and a yelp, Duo flies off the railing and lands on the ground with a thud. Heero leaps off the remaining stairs and makes a landing roll. He then walks over to Duo. “Ok, Duo you won. Let’s go grab a spot now.” Heero looks down and gets a confused look on his face. Duo is on the ground, looking in pain but slightly laughing. “Are you ok Duo?”

With a laugh Duo responds, “Well Heero buddy, let me put it like this. I either landed on a nice fluffy feather pillow, or a seagull.” Heero smirks and offers Duo his hand again. Duo clasps it with both hands and pulls himself off the ground. Both Duo and Heero then continue onto the water.
Heero and Duo walk along the water’s edge. Laughing and smiling all the way. They soon find a nice spot that they could be seen from, but had no one else near by. “This should be a nice spot. We’re not too far from the Hotel and everyone should be able to find us. And the best thing is, no one is around. We have this spot all to ourselves.” Says Duo sitting down onto the sandy beach.

“This is a nice spot. Oh by the way Duo, Thank you for bringing me to Hawaii. You didn’t have to.” Says Heero sitting down to him.

“Don’t mention it, Heero. I can’t think of anyone I would rather spend it with. Partner.” Says Duo, with a small wink after partner.

Heero blushes a little bit, however he covers it with, “It’s getting hot already isn’t it?”

Duo stands up, “Yeah it really is. Think I’ll go get in.” Duo pulls off his shirt as he walks and tosses it at Heero’s feet. As the wave starts going away from him Duo follows it out into the ocean.
Heero takes his shirt off also and drops it onto Heero’s. “Wait for me Duo.”

Heero and Duo swim out a ways. They wait for a larger wave to come up and then body surf back to shore, their bodies floating lightly in the water. It isn’t long before Quatra and Trowa arrive. Quatra in white and blue flowered swimming shorts and a matching Hawaiian shirt. Trowa in red and green swimming shorts and an open shirt sleeved button-up shirt. They soon take their shirts off and join their friends in the water. It isn’t long before their splashing each other, dunking each other and having an even better time than they already had been.

A few minutes later they spot Wufei running down the stairs, and over to them. “Looks like Wufei is has finally made it.” Says Quatra, “I was starting to get worried”

“Qat you get worried when the mail is late.” Says Duo backstroking his way past Quatra.

Quatra laughs and responds, “At least I don’t have to worry about Une killing me when I get back.”
Duo stops and looks at Quatra, “Ouch Qat, that hurt. I thought we were friends.”

“We are Duo, I’ve just learned how to play rough with you is all.” Says Quatra.

“Well, I guess you have to be a rough and tough wild cat to keep this guy in line.” Says Duo swimming over to Trowa. “I mean Trowa here is just a regular party animal, just look at him. His dark deep eyes, his strong yet slender body, his nice round…..” Trowa pushes Duo under water. The water starts fizzing with air bubbles.

“Don’t you think you should let him breath?” asks Quatra.

“Once he calms down a bit. After all, I am a rough and tough wild cat.” Smirks Trowa.

Duo pops up just as soon as Wufei gets to them. “I assume Maxwell deserved that attempted drowning?” questions Wufei.

Duo quickly says “Yeah, cause Trowa is a rough and…….”Duo’s head goes back under water.
Wufei quickly kicks off his shoes and pulls off a purple t-shirt. He then jumps into the water wearing only his yellow swimming shorts. “Here Trowa let me help you with that.”

Five cloaked figures sit around a pile of rocks in a dark room only. Chanting something, over and over again. The only light is the light glowing from the rocks in the center of them. Because these are not just any rocks, they are esoteric stones. Soon the women stand up. They reach into their cloaks and pull out small bottles of water. One by one they walk forward to the pile and pour their water onto the pile of stones. The water hisses and steams up from the stones. They breath in the esoteric steam, their eyes glow bright white, then one by one they drop down to the ground. All life escaping from them.

It was a tense moment between the ex-gundam pilots, Duo and Heero were close to beating Quatra and Trowa. Wufei was standing between them. Duo and Heero shot looks at their friends and got some in return. With a yell from Wufei, Trowa let it all go. The beach ball went soaring over the net. Duo ran up and with a high jump, knocks it back, right at Trowa. Trowa sets it up and Quatra hits it back over to the other side. Duo goes sliding to keep it in play, it hits his hand and goes flying…..flying…flying……right into the water. “TIE game!”, Yells Wufei.
Duo pushes himself up and spits sand out of his mouth. “I’ve got.” Duo, walks over to the ball and wades out a bit to get it. He grabs it and turns around and says “ok, whoever gets this one wins.” He takes a step and then falls over because his other foot is stuck. This makes the people on land laugh.

“Watch out Duo that first step is a doozy.” Says Trowa.
Duo starts pulling on his foot, nothing. Then he notices he’s starting to be pulled deeper into the ocean. He
starts pulling harder and harder. “Shit.” Says Duo.

“Duo come on let’s finish this already, unless your to chicken.” Says Quatra.

“Guys, I’m not joking! I’m really stuck. And what ever I’m stuck on is heading out to sea.” Says Duo, pulling on his leg harder than ever.

Heero gives Trowa a look and Trowa shakes his head. Heero stands where he is. His partner may never tell a lie, but he was the best joker out of all of them.

Soon Duo’s head is all that can be seen. With a final scream of, “Help!” Duo is sucked under. Heero gives Trowa another look, this time Trowa nods. Heero runs over and dives into the water where Duo was last seen. Heero, urgently looks around. He soon spots Duo, being sucked towards a whirlpool with something that appeared to be a black hole in the middle. He swims down and wraps, his arms around Duo’s waist. With the both of them swimming, they only move a couple inches. They soon get sucked into the black center.

Quatra, Trowa and Wufei soon spot the whirlpool forming in the water. They quickly run and jump into the water. They dive down deep into the water and look around. They don’t see anything at first. Then they see the portal at the bottom of the vortex. They try swimming back up for air, but they start being sucked into the portal. With a few underwater screams, they get sucked into the portal. The water then calms down. The portal fades away, leaving the ocean to rid the Earth of its old inhabitants.

A seemingly young girl stands in front of a large crystal ball, her long white hair flowing onto the floor. She turns to one of the other priestesses. “Go tell Gwendal to come here, tell him it is of the utmost importance.” The priestess nods and runs off, towards the castle. A little while later Gwendal was in the Hall of the Great One.


“What is it Ulrike? Has his majesty returned?”

“I’m afraid that is not the case. It was strange, I felt like I was being drawn by something to look into the crystal ball. While I was watching I saw five souls depart this world. Then soon after I saw two souls come in, then a few seconds later, three more souls came in. I’m afraid none of them are his majesty. However, they all did come from Earth.”

“So why did you drag me here?”

“I’m thought you would like to know, because the first two souls landed in Rainel.” Says Ulrike looking up at Gwendal.

“How did they get here? Did the humans summon them? Are they demon or human?”

“My Gwendal, for a man who didn’t sound to interested a bit ago, something sure drew your attention.” Says a rather buff looking orange haired demon coming out of the shadows.

“Yozak, what are you doing here?” says Gwendal turning to Yozak.

“Relax, I saw the messenger come and get you, and wanted to see what was going on.”

“Gwendal, to answer your questions, I don’t know how they got here, or who brought them here but they do appear to be human, and their souls were strong.”

“You said there were 5 souls, two of them landed in in the heart of Rainel, where did the other three land?” asks Gwendal.

“Whatever spell brought them here must of fluctuated and they landed on the border of Rainel and the Great Demon Kingdom. “

“Yozak, think you can find them and bring them here?”

“I’m already heading out the door.” Says Yozak walking out the door.

“Thank you Lady Ulrike.” Says Gwendal.
