Chapter 2
I know that this chapter is short but, bear with me.
Iwaki swore that with the every second shots of pain that was firing from his backside that he was going to murder Katou when he saw him later. This day of work had been hell and even though he’d popped some painkillers that morning, the numbness failed to go away. He was supposed to be standing all day today for shooting the scene and his legs felt ready to give way.
He saw Shimizu walking towards him hurriedly and he breathed a sigh of relief.
“Iwaki-san, are you ok?” she was looking at him with pity all over. He barely had the strength to answer her. This made him feel like an old man, not to over emphasize his age. His birthday was coming up soon and he dreaded thinking about it all now. His thoughts which flew to Katou had him wondering about what the younger man had planned.
It’s kind of exhilarating to have someone who cares about me so much, that it feels like a pain erupts in my chest whenever I miss him. I’ve gotten that pain every minute of my life onwards from since I’d met him, whenever he’s was away on business. If he died, Kami-sama knows I’d go into cardiac arrest.
“Iwaki-san?” Shimizu had been calling him for the past five minutes, but he’d been so caught up in his thought’s he’d not heard her. It’s ironic how his pain had lessened thinking about the same person who’d inflicted it. A hint of a smile graced his face when he thought about it.
“I’m feeling better Shimizu.” He reclined on the folding chair she’s dragged open for him.
“It’s just that you looked completely drained this morning. If you want I can always cancel and tell the crew that you’re not feeling well.”
“That’s won’t be necessary, since the day is almost done and we almost have all the takes that we need.” The building was buzzing with activity of personnel and Iwaki felt a headache coming on.
“Can you just get me some water?” He eyed her reassuringly before continuing. “I’ll be fine.” She started to walk away, her folder and papers nearly spilling out of her hands before she spun around instantly.
“Oh! I forgot to mention that Katou-san called and notified that he has a two dinner meetings to attend to and might not be home tonight.”
“That’s ok; I’ll talk to him later. And thanks.” He nodded his head in agreement.
Adjusting her glasses, she responded, “No problem. You are a great boss after all.”
He gave a small laugh before rising to continue the filming for the rest of the day.
