Anova and Kaitlin

Kaitlin seemed different a few weeks later, Anova and Wisdom had no idea what had happened with her, but as Cinder had mated a Mightyena by the name of Fangsong while Kaitlin visited a breeder in Fortree City, she knew that their trainer was likely carrying a child. A few months later, Cinder gave birth to two pups, both Poochyena. The female, a feisty little pup with a Sassy nature, was released, as Cinder requested. Her brother, the much more docile of the two was kept for a while, before Wisdom informed Kaitlin that he missed his sister, and wished to go with her. Kaitlin released him after he had evolved into a Mightyena himself.

By that time, Kaitlin was showing the effects of her mating with Anova, much to her friend Rei Ariosu’s, dismay. Kaitlin had sworn him to secrecy, and he agreed, going a step further and offering to raise the child as if it were his own so Kaitlin wouldn’t be targeted by the anti-interspecies groups in the area. The two were married in a private ceremony a month before Kaitlin went into labor, Rei Ariosu took his wife’s last name and became Rei Kyrian. Kaitlin gave birth to a healthy baby girl, fully human in look. Anova chose the name Alyria for his daughter, Rei and Kaitlin agreed upon the name.

However, soon after, word and rumors spread that Kaitlin was a Poképhile. The religious groups and Pokémon Abuse groups came after her and Anova. As he had promised, Rei took Alyria, hiding her with him in their mansion before he took up the role of her father.

Kaitlin fled and went into hiding, Anova at her side. A few months later, a group claiming to protest against the cruel treatment of Pokémon as sex slaves found Kaitlin and after chaining Anova in place, murdered her in front of him.

The Lucario that loved her was forced to watch as his mate’s blood was spilled in front of his eyes, and he snapped. His body began glowing bright blue and the resulting explosion was heard all the way at the mansion. Alyria was asleep in her crib when Rei put his Mewtwo, a loyal servant Faero in charge of her while he took his prized legendary team and went to see what happened. What he saw shocked him. His wife lay dead, her throat slit and blood flowing across the dirt, her mate, and Alyria’s father lay in a sobbing heap over her body, trying to use a technique he couldn’t learn to revive his fallen mate. Rei knelt down beside him and for the first time, Anova realized how cruel the world could be. As the pair got home, Alyria was crying and as Anova held his daughter, he understood that she would never be able to see him as a father, and so he handed her to Rei and recalled himself into a Pokéball.
