Gillie: I'm not sure if I should be insanely happy or frightened. But wow thanks for all the nice thigs you have to say. I do enjoy reading what you have to say. Truth be told I planned on writing only two more chapters after this one just to wrap things up but now that you mention it there are some odd things floating around so I may have some more fun but I haven't full decided. I might brigh in Shion Ran's master just to mix things up and cause some more prolbems for dear old Kenken. But it depeneds on what life throws at me.

Annie: always good to here from you. I'm glad you like the kitten thing I like it too. The whole kitten thing was part of another story I wrote a long time ago that will never be seen by anyone but I liked that so I added it in. I thought Ran needed a pet name for Ken. Now I just need to find Ken's pet name for Ran. Sigh.

This is an odd chapter so um yeah I'll try and explain things if you need me to.

Ken held Ran's hand tightly as he tried not to cry. The police had found Kase and he put all the money up for the funeral. There were few other people there and he sighed for his dear friend. He had to beg other people to be the pallbearers but luckily he had Ran who did it with out question. He sniffled and was pulled into a warm chest and gently kissed on the head. "It's ok to cry love. I understand he was your friend and it's ok to cry." He nodded and let a few tears fall as the casket was lowered into the ground. It was hard to say good-bye, even if the person did rape you and sell you to a vampire.

Ran held Ken tightly as they entered the limo with the other people Ken had to beg to carry the casket. Apparently Kase wasn't well liked by any one but his sweet koi. He sighed and pulled his love close and kissed his head. "Are you ok baby?" His lover nodded a bit sadly and sighed. "His family didn't come." He frowned and pulled his lover into his lap and cradled him. "I don't know why you are so upset Ken the man raped you." Yohji said rudely. He glared at the blond until he swallowed and sat back silent. "Kase was still my friend Yohji and some one had to be there for him. I'm upset because every one hates Kase even his family and I have forgiven him totally. It's pointless to hate some one who is dead and died going through worse than you ever have." Every one in the limo nodded sadly and Ken sighed and lay back into his chest.

Ken sighed as he headed up the stairs to the room he shred with Ran and flopped into the bed. His lover came up after a few minuets and gently stroked his hair. He sighed and laid his head in his lover's lap and sighed again. "Can I get you anything?" Ran asked him ever so softly still running his fingers through his hair. "No. I have what I need. I just feel bad for Kase is all. I did love him once, and it just makes me sad to know that he is gone." His lover hummed softly and he smiled gently nuzzling the soft warm thigh with his nose. "Thank you Ran. Thank you for just helping. You have more reasons to hate Kase than anyone else and you were just wonderful." His lover nodded never stopping what he was doing. "I don't hate him because I don't know him well enough to do so I just hate what he did to you. I don't believe he was an evil person just a very lonely one and I think the warmth and love you gave him frightened him. I didn't help because I liked him I helped because I love you. If you can forgive him then so can I." He looked into deep violet eyes and smiled softly sitting up to kiss his lover deeply. "Thank you Ran. I love you so very much." His lover smiled and kissed him softly in return.

Monday came much to quickly for Ran and he was having serious separation issues. He whined and pulled Ken close nuzzling his neck as they sat in the car. "Ken stay." His lover growled and looked at him with expiration. "Ran I have to go to work. Why don't you go get a paper and check the house listings and circle anything promising. Manx said she would be our retaliator and well she is a ball buster." He whined again and kissed his lover deeply pouting. "Can I come get you for lunch?" His lover nodded and he sadly released the boy. His lover sighed and kissed him deeply and smiled softly at him. "Go look at houses and time will fly." He nodded sadly and watched his lover walk into the building.

Ken sighed as he flopped down in his desk and smiled at Yohji. The blond sauntered over and sat on his desk. "Why was Ran's car sitting out there for forty-five minuets?" He sighed and smiled slightly looking at his boss and best friend. "He was having separation issues. I told him to go look up houses." His friend blinked and leaned forward a little. "So you two are going to get a house?" He nodded happily and his friend smiled brightly slapping him on the back. "Good for you. Kenken the phone is filled with messages so start calling people and see if they still need me. If they ask why I was gone make something up." He nodded and groaned as he picked up the phone.

Ran sighed circling nice houses in the area getting everything he could get. Time wasn't going fast it was going all to slow. He needed to know what Ken thought and he needed his koi just to hold then time would go fast. He and Ken would sort some of these out tonight then call Manx in the morning. Then his koi would leave him for three days. He pouted slightly at the thought and growled really wanting this damn house. He sighed as he circled a few more. He didn't know how many rooms, bathrooms and things Ken wanted or even how far was to far. He growled and shoved the listings off to the side. He was not having a good day and damn it all he wanted his koi.

Ken sighed as he called the last person on his very long list and let his head hit the desk. He stood and took the list into Yohji who was on the phone with another person and set down what people needed him and what they needed and their numbers. The blond hung up and sighed deeply looking at the list. "How come business always picks up you are gone?" He shrugged and sighed deeply. "Three people asked me where you were I told them your father who is in Russia got deathly ill." His friend nodded going over the list and circling a few things. "Ken can you handle these? I need some one else to do that small jobs for me till things call down." He nodded happily knowing he was going to get a nice bonus. "Call Kai she can do some of the others or help you." He nodded again and walked out of the office.

Ran skipped into the office and flopped on Ken's lap snuggling into his lover who was on the phone. "Yes Mr. Yaggata...No...As I told you his farther fell ill...Yes. Have a nice day sir." His lover hung up the phone and kissed him deeply lovingly. "Long day baby?" The brunet nodded and closed his eyes letting his head fall against his shoulder. "Very. But I get to work some of the smaller cases. Find anything good?" He shrugged and sighed deeply. "I'm not sure how close you want it or the number of rooms and things." His lover sighed and kissed him again. "We'll worry about it later. I want a nice lunch with my very sexy boyfriend." He ginned grabbing Ken's hand and poking his head in Yohji's door. "I'm stealing Ken." The blond nodded and he bounded out of the office happily.

Ken sat on Ran's lap munching on his sandwich and looking at what Ran circled. He smiled at a few and starred them then sighed leaning back. They had gotten a few strange looks but people would just have to get over their homophobia. Their waitress was overly nice and didn't seem bothered in the least that he was sitting in another man's lap. "Ran I don't want to go back to work." His lover smiled softly and kissed him gently and the heard a soft 'awe'. He turned his head to the waitress who was smiling holding the check. "Here you go sirs and if you don't mind me saying you two are a very cute couple." He grinned brightly blushing. "Thank you." The girl nodded and walked off. He looked at his lover still smiling. "We should leave her a big tip." The redhead nodded rolling his eyes. "If you say so." He nodded firmly and kissed his lover.

Ran sighed happily as he heard Yohji's car pull into the drive. He walked to the door and caught Ken in his arms kissing him deeply. "Kitten how was work?" His lover shrugged and snuggled into him. "It was good. After lunch I got to go do stuff so it wasn't so bad." He nodded and nuzzled his lover. He felt Ken sigh into him and grin a little evilly. "I think I found a house." He looked into big brown eyes and felt himself melt. "I've called Manx we can check it out later. I'll call her again tomorrow morning." His lover smiled happily and kissed him deeply grinning.

Ken nibbled his lover's lips suddenly feeling hungry as the smell of food drifted out from the kitchen. He pulled away and licked his lips sniffing the air. "Mum smells good. What's Omi making?" His lover smiled softly looking a little offended. "Nothing, Omi and Nagi are out on a triple date with Sena, Kyo, Yuki, and Pawn. Aya-chan is out with Knight so I cooked." His eyes grew large and pleading. No one had ever cooked dinner for him unless it was his birthday or something happened. "Really?" His lover nodded and led him to the table, which was set for two with candles and everything. He bit his lip having the feeling he was forgetting something. "Is it our anniversary?" The redhead raised a brow and shook his head. "No not for another week and three days. We are going on three months Ken." He beamed then frowned trying to figure out what was up. "Um then what's the special occasion?" His lover pulled him close and kissed him gently. "Nothing special except I'm alone with the man I love and I missed him terribly. Is there something wrong with that?" He shook his head smiling brightly.

Ran smiled softly and kissed Ken gently then released him going into the kitchen to check on how dinner was coming along. He nodded happily and pulled the roast beef from the oven then started to mash the potatoes and finish the gravy. He called Schuldich to see what Ken's favorite foods were so he could cook something nice for his koi. Oddly Ken seemed to like American foods and then there was Chicken curry. He made two plates and came out smiling as Ken grinned brightly at him. He made steamed vegetables to go along with everything else. His lover's eyes lit up but he sat patiently. He smiled and lit the candles then turned off the lights. He loved Ken in candle light, the soft glow shining off lovely golden skin and reflecting in deep eyes.

Ken bit his lip and pulled Ran in for a deep passionate kiss. His koi made one of his favorites and even if the food sucked he would still love it because it was the thought that counted. He took one bite and found his new favorite cook. The meat was wonderfully tender and juicy and the gravy was heavenly. He moaned slightly and smiled at his lover. "This is wonderful. I'll have to cook for you some time." His lover's hand grabbed his and he smiled brightly. "I'd like that Ken." He grinned brightly and kissed his lover softly. He then went back to eating happily inhaling the wonderful food. He held his plate out to his lover and blushed. "May I have some more?" Ran blinked at him then smiled taking the plate and getting him some more. He had the feeling he was going to stuff himself making him overly lazy tonight.

Ran loved watching Ken eat. The boy had such enthusiasm for life and loved to show it every way possible. He had no clue how Ken could eat so quickly and never miss a drop. His koi finished his second plate patting his stomach. "Mum you should never cook again Ran or you are going to have a three hundred pound boyfriend." He smiled and kissed his lover. "That's just more of you for me to love. I made desert." Brown eyes lit up for the second time and his lover grinned happily. He stood taking his lover's plate setting it in the sink and brought out a brownie. He wasn't good at baking anything else. His lover grinned and slowly ate the chocolate treat. "You spoil me Ran. I'm going to need a crane to get up the stairs." He smiled and lifted his now sleepy looking lover into his arms and carried him up the stairs undressing him and setting him on the bed. He placed a gentle kiss on honey lips. "You sleep I'll be up in a bit I just have to clean the kitchen." His lover nodded yawning and snuggling into the covers.

Ran finished cleaning the kitchen and quickly went up to his room to snuggle into bed with Ken. He stopped just as he entered and just looked at his peacefully sleeping love. The moonlight was shining down perfectly on Ken making him glow like and angel. Long lashes touched blushing cheeks and one hand lay close to a partially open mouth. He smiled looking at the sweetness before him and sighed. He wondered where he would be with out Ken and he knew he never wanted to find out. He smiled and closed the door crossing the room striping letting his cloths stay where they landed and crawled into bed with his angel. He gently placed kisses along soft shoulders and neck then one to soft hair pulling his lover close. He couldn't ask for anything more because Ken was perfect.
