Chapter Twenty: Nostalgic Memories

Author's Note: This is actually a chapter I will be leaving out of "Ties that Bind"

My twins, Shion James, and his twin sister Kanon Alexandria are here in Sanctuary visiting with me, my twin and their grandpa Shion. I'm watching as my daughter Kanon tackles Death Mask as he stalks toward her boyfriend Andromeda Shun to threaten him about hurting his Pesci Principessa (Pisces Princess) while my son Shion James is sitting beside his lover laughing his ass off.

I had to smile as Shun hid behind my daughter's namesake while Kanon, my daughter or as I call her Songbird started scolding Death Mask,

"Master, you promised you wouldn't act like an idiot if I brought Shun with me and here you go acting like a retard. I don't see Aphrodite acting like a retard when it became known that SJ is with Babel. I suggest you leave my man alone or I'll kick your ass myself, grumpy crab?"

Death Mask growls as he finally relents and he hugs Kanon gently as he gives Shun a hard glare and growls,

"You better be good to my Pesci Principessa or you'll wish you were answering to her father and brother. I love this brat like a little sister. Understand?"

Songbird rolls her violet eyes as she hugs Death Mask and pushes him toward The House of Crab as she lightly kicks his ass playfully. Death Mask just grins at Songbird as he returns to Cancer with Aphrodite.

It is now sunset, as Shion goes back up to Libra with Dohko with the twins teasing their grandpa and papa with cat-calls whistling. I had to laugh when Dohko shook his fist at my twins. SJ burst out laughing while Songbird feigns fainting while Dohko smiles gently. I could see the love and fierce protection between three. I won't admit it out loud but I am grateful to Dohko, Mu, Shaka, Aphrodite, and Death Mask for taking care of my twins.

Kanon making dinner with the help of his niece and Shun while my son, his boyfriend, and I sat in polite silence. I could hear Songbird humming as she helps her uncle with dinner. I smiled as nostalgic memories flooded my being of my twins' mother Dove.

~Flasback to Eighteen years ago~

Dohko had returned to Sanctuary with his pupil thirteen-year-old Dove Cameron Delos and at that time I was fourteen-years-old and a Gold Saint. I went to the arena where Dove would facing with Java's student Kali for the Grus Cloth.

I watched as Dove easily defeats Kali and becomes The Silver Grus. I could hear Dohko whooping with pride as Dove scolds him. The Grand Pope Shion nods toward his daughter. I could tell he was smiling behind the mask. I did like Dove from the first time I met her when she was three-years-old. I thought she was pretty now she's drop-dead sexy and gorgeous.

I could feel my heart thumping as I approach her and bowed politely to Dohko as she just smiles at me shyly as Dohko. leads her away. I know Dohko doesn't approve of me for some reason where his pupil/ goddaughter was concerned.

Sighs.

"I believe you were hit with Cupid's arrow, my friend." Aiolos came up holding his younger brother.

I sighed and nodded.

Later that night, as I sat with my twin on the rooftop of Gemini. I saw Dove on the rooftops coming toward us with a basket of food for the three of us. Of course, Dove is one of the few people who knew about Kanon.

I had to laugh because she's sneaking out to be with me and my brother. If Dohko ever finds out we're in so much trouble. The three of us eat, talked, and laughed until Kanon fakes yawns and left us alone.

Dove scooted closer to me and smiled shyly at me. I pulled her on my lap and held her close as I kissed her shoulder. Then she lifts her toward me and I kissed her softly.

"I'm tired of hiding Saga but I know why we do because neither my father or my godfather approves of you." Dove cooed sadly.

I feel as she does, but I couldn't do anything about it.

At dawn, Dove sneaks back over the rooftops back to Libra.

It was late June of '71, Dove and I made love for the first time and I fell even deeper in with love with her. Every night, when Dohko would fall asleep Dove and I would make love in Gemini.

Two months later, everything changed because my brother woke my dark side which made Dove flee to Jamil. I never knew I was going to have children until my fourteen-year-old daughter challenged me and killed me. I know it plagues Songbird until now. I will make it up to my kids somehow, some way.

~End of Flashback~

Songbird was watching her violet eyes worried as I reached up and hugged her tightly.

"I'm okay, Songbird. I was just remembering your mother and how much I love her and still love her."

"Hey, Dad will you tell us about Mommy?"

I nodded to my son.

I spent the rest of the night talking about Dove but of course, I left out any and all sex out of the conversation.
