Gillie: You have given me a new plot idea so this chapter owes everything to you. And Ken is a very good person. I have so many new ideas bounching through my head but any feedback or suggestions would be wonderful. Thank you for the great idea and the kind reviews.

EternalEmbrace: No worries Ran's master will come in and cause some very big prolbems for our lovers. Not that I'm having any evil thoughts or anything. *Cough cough* well any way thanks and how could you not love Ken. I hate when people make Ken stupid and mean. Ken struggled away from Ran's tight grip and glared at his lover. "Ran chill out. Kai is giving up the bed so you can come over tonight. You don't have to molest me in the car. I will see you tonight." His lover pouted and he sighed gently kissing him. "Can I come get you for lunch?" He smiled softly and shook his head. "No Yohji is swamped and he wants me to work on a few smaller cases today so I won't have time but Sunday we are going to look at the house." His lover nodded and pulled him into another deep kiss. He pushed away and glanced at the time shoving his lover off. "I'm sorry Ran but I have to go to work. Go to the flower shop because it is close and bug your sister and Kai." He gave his lover a quick peck and dashed into the office.

Yohji wanted to chuckle but with the look on Ken's face he knew it was wiser not so say a word. He did not need his best friend to rip his head off. "You look stressed Kenken." His friend sighed deeply and growled. "I love Ran dearly I do but my god he is like a leach. He just clings to me like I'm going to turn in to smoke if he lets me go. Spending the day away from him will be good for the both of us." He nodded slowly and sat on the desk slapping a huge set of files on wood surface. "Try next four. I know you have a match Saturday and are going through the house on Sunday but I need you here all day Friday and early Monday. I hate to ask this Kenken but would you mind staying the weekend. I really do need you here." His friend smiled and nodded thinking for a second. "I'm still paying for the apartment so I can stay there. Kai won't have to give up her bed and I won't have to bum off you." He nodded and smiled at his friend.

Aya blinked as he brother sulked in the corner. Ran had been acting strange ever since the funeral. She really wondered what was going through her older brother's head. Kai stopped by her side and flashed her a bright smile. "Don't worry Aya. I can see where you brother is coming from. He hasn't spent more than fifteen minuets away from Ken for the past two months and Ken could have died more than once. So it's natural for Ran to be a bit clingy. The phone rang and she reached to grab it and smiled at Ken's voice. She really did like her brother's boyfriend. "Hay Aya can I speak to my wonderful boyfriend?" She smiled and turned to her sulking brother. "Ran, Ken." He brother lightened up considerably and skipped over picking up the phone.

Ran smiled and listened to his boyfriend's slight side conversation. He held his breath as he smiled slightly. "Hay love. Ran listen I have to get to work early on Monday and have a soccer match on Saturday so we have to stay the weekend here. I still have three months left on the payment and the contract for the apartment so is it alright if we stay there?" He wondered vaguely why his boyfriend was paying for an apartment he no longer lived in. "That's fine Ken. Why are you still paying for the apartment?" He heard his lover sigh then chuckle slightly. "Um you remember our first dinner at Yohji's when Kase came over well I gave him a six moth payment." He growled but sighed deeply. "I also have to work after practice tonight so I'll be home late. Just go to Yohji's and I'll come get you to take you to the apartment." He nodded smiling softly trying to hide his disappointment. "That's fine I'll see you later. I love you Ken please be careful I don't want any thing to happen to you." He could feel his lover's soft smile over the line and smiled himself. "I will be Ran. I love you and I'll see you when I get home. I'll be in the area so I'll stop by for a minuet or two just to say hi." He smiled and whispered a tender goodbye hanging up.

Ken opened the door slowly and walked in to Yohji's living room. He was beat and he didn't want to drive to the apartment. He smiled at his boyfriend dozing on the couch and flopped down cuddling into the warm body. One violet eye cracked open and a soft sleepy smile graced rose petal lips. "Hello kitten." He smiled snuggling into the broad chest and sighed happily gently kissing his lover. "Hi. Do you know if Yohji got home?" The door shut and Yohji stumbled in and smiled at the two of them. "Hay Yohji I was just asking about you." His friend nodded and stumbled up the stairs slamming the bedroom door. "Should we go Ken?" He nodded and snuggled more deeply into his redhead. "I'm sleepy Ran." His lover nodded and gently kissed him. "If we go we and cuddle in a nice warm bed." He nodded but made no move to leave his spot.

Ran smiled and lifted Ken into his arms and carried him to the car. His lover yawned as he drove down the road. His koi gave half awake directions and he perked in his lover's spot. He smiled as his lover stumbled from the car and dug through his pockets and sighed. "I have to go to the landlord and get my key." He nodded and fallowed his lover into the building and to a small office door. A young girl flung open the door and smiled. "Ken long time no see. Wow! Please tell me the redhead hottie behind you is yours." His lover nodded once looking dead on his feet. "I need my key." The girl nodded and went in then came back out and handed him a gold key glancing at the now sleeping Ken. "His apartment is 13G." He nodded taking the key and scooping his lover up and carrying him to the elevator and heading to the top floor. He walked down the long well lit hall and maneuvered his boyfriend so he could open the door.

The apartment was spotless and clearly hadn't been used since Ken left. Ran opened one door and frowned at the room. It was small and dingy and had several pictures of his love attached to a dartboard. He growled and stalked out causing the door to slam and walked into the next room and smiled. A few things cluttered the floor and pictures of Yohji, Schuldich, Kai and a few other people covered the walls in nice frames. He set his love gently on the bed and pulled off shoes, socks, pants, and shirts leaving his lover in boxers. He looked over all the pictures and smiled at the one of a bunch of kids in soccer uniforms. He stopped and looked at a lovely picture of Ken the only thing wrong with the picture was Kase was in it as well. He tenderly reached up and touched the photo wondering if Ken ever looked that happy with him. He wondered if Ken really loved him. He sighed pulling off his own cloths and settling next to his love curling into him. Ken was his and nothing would come between them.

Ken woke up and sighed snuggling into the warmth next to him. He gently nuzzled the soft neck that smelled like sweet cream and something fruity and spicy all at the same time. "Mum Ran." Fingers glided through his hair and a soft kiss was placed on his lips. " Ken do you love me?" His eyes snapped open and he looked into deep serious violet and smiled softly gently cradling his lover's lovely face. "More than any thing Ran." His lover nodded and sighed slightly. "How come you haven't smiled for me like you did for Kase in the picture on your wall?" He blinked and glanced behind him and smirked at the picture. "I was slightly drunk and really happy because we had just one a really big game, and the creepy stalker bitch Yuriko moved to Australia that day and Kase had just asked me out. I'm happier right here in your arms that the day that picture was taken but I'm just an idiot when I'm drunk so the smile is the effect of alcohol." His lover nodded and snuggled into him and he smiled lovingly and kissed his boyfriend deeply.

Ran pouted as Ken got into his own car. He liked driving his lover to work but he understood that Ken did need to have a car. Ken stuck his head out the window and smiled at him. "Ran as soon as this is all over you and I will go out some place nice just the two of us but Yohji needs me and I do love my job and I'm having fun doing this. So just be happy that I am." He nodded and kissed his lover deeply. "I'll go to the store later Ken and pick up some food." His lover nodded and kissed him lightly. "Sounds good. I'll be home around seven-thirty, eight." He nodded and gave his lover another quick kiss as he started the car and drove off. He felt suddenly empty with out Ken.

Ken wanted to kill some one in a very painful horrid manner. It was eleven at night and he was dead tired and sure that Ran was freaking out. He had gotten shot at twice today and had to call the cops seven times. He was not a happy camper. All he wanted as to eat dinner then curl into bed with the man he loved and sleep. He shoved open the door and sighed happily at the smell of good food keeping warm for him. "Ran?" A crimson redhead poked from behind the couch and he smiled flopping down. "Sorry babe I had to go to the police office and tell what I saw and explain what happened and why the man shot at me." Violet eyes grew large and his lover was instantly checking him over. "Did you get hurt? Are you ok? What happened?" He smiled and pulled his lover in for a kiss. "I'm fine. I'm just very hungry and tired and it's a long story so I'll tell you later." His lover nodded and stood bringing him back a plate.

Ran sat and watched Ken inhale his food faster than normal. He was bother by the fact that Ken could have been hurt or worse. The thought of losing Ken scared him. "Ken I don't want you going back to work tomorrow or ever." His lover paused and looked at him with wide brown eyes and swallowed hard. "What?" He gave his lover a stern glare and repeated himself. "Ran I can't do that." His glare got colder. "I demand it." His lover glared back at him and growled. "You can't demand shit from me Ran I'm not your slave I'm your boyfriend." He growled back and moved closer. "I want you to stay home." Ken moved slowly so they were mere inches apart. "I'm not a fucking dog Ran and I can't just sit at home all day and keep my sanity. This job was part of my life way before you came into the picture and if it has to it will last long after you." He growled and pinned Ken to the couch hovering above him like a dangerous predator. "You will not threaten me Ken. I've been alive for five hundred years and you are the best damn thing that has ever happened to me and I will not lose you." His lover snorted.

Ken did not like being a possession and he did not like being told what to do unless it was by his boss for work. "You don't own me Ran and I can do what ever the fuck I please. I could get up and walk out that door and fuck half this city if I chose to but I chose you Ran but I will not chose between the job I love and my best friend over the man I love. It's not fair to me for you to make me stay home like some fucking housewife not that it's an honorable thing because it is; it's just not my thing. So you Ran have one of two choices, either you back off and stop acting like you own me or you get the hell out of my face and don't come back. I'm not some thing you can own Ran and I don't want to be treated like your slave." His lover let go and stood storming from the apartment slamming the door. He growled and stalked into his room.
