Robots, Games And Chocolate

The next few days were hectic, Matt was sitting by Rod who had spent the last two days smirking and laughing every time he winced as he sat down or lent to far back.
They were by the computers and directing the men who were chosen to kidnap Takada, Mello was by the televisions watching various live feed of the news while talking on the phone to various people.
Rod sent the order for his men to make their move, Mello paused in his conversation...”I’ll ring you back” Was all he said before hanging up on whoever he was talking to.
Mello watched the screens as Takada and her bodyguards came out of the building a large crowd of Kira followers surrounding her.
Mello gasped slightly “Halle’s her bodyguard”
Matt turned and faced Mello “Will she cause trouble”
Mello dialled a number “Halle don’t speak just trust me... for sake of defeating Kira” Was all he said to her and hung up.
They all watched as Halle listened before putting her phone away and looked around her....
Suddenly a dark green sports car pulled up and fired a smoke bomb into the middle of the large crowd before driving off. The news helicopter followed the car and the other bodyguards known Kira supporters got in various black cars and followed... Halle was seen through smoke about to lead Takada back inside the building, A motor cycle was heard and Halle looking around before helping Takada on the bike.

“Sir....Sir I can’t out run them, They’re is to many of them.” They heard over the radio.
Matt almost shouted “He’s going the wrong way, He’ll get cornered.”
Rod quickly relayed the message They both typed at the computer until Mello spoke. “To late... He won’t make it”
They both turned watching as the helicopter showed it live. The sports car had stopped surrounded by the black cars of the Kira supporters.
“stay in car” Matt whispered.
He shook his head as they all watched the man withdraw a weapon standing out the car... Mello read his lips “Didn’t realize the Japanese had such nice arms”
Matt couldn’t watch as they all started to fire they’re guns.
The news helicopter reported “ Unidentified Man has been shot dead after firing a smoke canister in a large crowd of people, the suspected target was Takada... Kira’s messenger. “ Mello muted the rest of the report and the camera zoomed in on the shot up car and they mans body next to it in a pool of blood.
Matt growled in frustration “God damn it
Rod sighed “They still have Takada, Track there progress.”
Matt turned “How can you be so damn calm”
“Easy...People die. He just died and sacrificed himself for the greater good” Rod replied calmly £Could of been you or Mello in that car would you of preferred that.”
“No...” Matt answered honestly and started typing at the computer.
After a few minutes of typing. “They’re in the van and on the road.”
Rod nodded and radioed his guy “Is she secure.”
“Yes sir i had her stripped as you requested.” He replied.
“Good take her to the location loading into the sat nav” Rod said calmly.
Mello was holding his rosary and muttering something in Croatian. When the phone rang it made Mello jump but he hid it well.”Yes Halle what can i do for you “ He said
“Where have you taken her” Halle asked.
“Don’t know what you mean i’m at the safe house still” Mello replied calmly smirking as Halle growled.
“Don’t fuck with me Mello....”Halle growled out...
Mello sighed “Fine taking her to church, She is on of the Kira’s and in touch with Kira aka Light Yagami, If that is all i’m rather busy” Mello said hanging up before she could reply.
Rod raised his eyes “why did you tell her?”
“I said a church, Not church ruins and there are many. And besides she thinks there on a bike.” Mello replied.

Halle growled again as Mello hung up on her, She dialled Near’s number.
“Mello intercepted and now has Takada” Halle said down the phone listening for a response.
Near was silent for few minutes before giving an order to Rester before replying to Halle “What did he say.”
“He’s taking her to church as shes one of the Kira’s, and in contact with Light” Halle paused and when she got no reply she continued. “I know they’re on a bike but they’re are to many churches to search”
Near sighed and thought for a moment giving Rester a new order, and replied to Halle “Mello’s clever, He may of taken her on a bike but as the car was a distraction he would change Vehicles. Rester is searching possible churches stay by your phone” Near said and hanging up on her.
“That’s second time i’ve been hung up on today.” Halle sighed and sat in her car awaiting a phonecall.
She started driving slowly to check any of the quieter churches. as she waited for Rester to call.
Halle pulled over as her phone rang. “tell me you have something.”
“Near had me search abandoned and run down churches the only one close enough is not to far away from your location. We’ve sent Txt with the co-ordinates its just out of the city on a quiet back road.” Rester said before adding “Ring when you know anything “ Before giving a brief goodbye and hanging up.
Halle entered the co-ordinates into the sat-nav and started driving. After a short drive she spotted the church just off the road . She gasped and got out of the car.. She grabbed her phone ringing the fire brigade and after hanging up she dialled another number...
“Halle, so many calls,How may i help now.” Mello asked.
“Your church and van are on fire” She said
Halle heard Mello curse and call to Matt and she presumed Rod.
“Are they still in the van.” Mello asked almost sounding calm.
“I presume so i see no-one around, I arrived and fire is to big to get to close. i phoned fire brigade”
Mello sighed “Thanks for ringing but we have work to do...i’m...” Mello didn’t finish before adding “Goodbye Halle, Get back to Near, Light or Takada herself caused the fire. Theres nothing you can do” And hung up.
Halle sighed and put her phone away as she heard the sirens draw closer she got in her car and drove away.

Mello muttered in Croatian as he hung up from Halle. Rod stood going to Mello.
“I’m sorry they both died.” Mello said noticing as Rod stood behind him.
“Don’t be the first didn’t follow his orders and panicked and if Light or Takada caused the fire it means he failed to get everything off of her. ...They knew the risks and accepted anyway.” rod said laying his hand on Mello’s right shoulder. “Eat and take your pain killers the big fight is still to come. and you need to be at full strength”
Mello looked to Rod and gave a brief smile and nodded “You’re right” Mello said as he stood up “I’m going to have a lie down and re think” He glanced to Matt who nodded and stood from the computers “Need us come to get us.”
“will do” Rod smiled as he went back to the computers.
Mello and Matt made their way to the bedroom , closing the door behind them.
