Canine Pokemon Tamer

Almost an hour later, Alyria emerges from the garden, Seka curled in her arms. She recalls her team into their Pokéballs, leaving Thunder, Luna, and Seka free and walks toward the egg room. She takes Seka’s egg out of the incubator and places it in a thermal pouch so she can bring it with her. Then she climbs onto Thunder’s back with Luna and races toward her old house to confront Rei.

The Raikou races across the land, her paws shooting small sparks with the speed, she reaches Rei’s house and slows down. Luna jumps off her back and walk up to the door as Alyria releases her Pokémon. Mother and daughters walk with the team and knock on the door.

“Ah, Alyria, what brings you here with…all your female Pokémon? This isn’t a social call is it honey? This visit must be about me leaving Seka behind.” Rei answers the door, ushering his daughter and her team and pups into the house. Alyria walks in and grabs Rei by the collar of his shirt, her fangs clearly visible and bared.

“She loved you! She TRUSTED you! You built her that magnificent garden, gave her an egg, took her body, and abandoned her like some cheap Pokémon hooker! What the hell was going through your mind to make you do that to her?!” Alyria snarls as she slams the human male against the wall hard enough to crack the paint. Luna steps forward and pulls her mother back so she doesn’t kill Rei.

“Thank you Luna.” Rei whispers weakly, quickly earning a glare and snarl from the Suicune hybrid.

“I didn’t do it for you; I don’t want to see my mother hurt for a worthless piece of trash like you.” She snarls, her normally glowing eyes hard and vacant of all emotion, her fangs becoming visible. The Suicune hybrid glares at her surrogate grandfather, wondering if the world truly would miss him if she allowed her mother to continue mercilessly beating him. She decides she’d rather not risk her mother going to prison or being put down like a rabid Houndoom.

“Mother, I know you want to destroy the human worm you once called a father, but honestly I don’t think he’s worth it. Figure out why he did what he did and let’s go. I’m going to need a bath to rid myself of his reek.” Luna snaps coldly as she turns and walks away, a blast of frigid air following the North Wind hybrid.

Rei turns to look at his enraged hybrid ward and her pup and remembering his training tilts his head back slightly to expose his throat in submission, praying that this time she decides not to bite. His attempt works, Alyria growls at him, but the malicious energy radiating from her in waves settles.

“I should rip you apart for what you did to Seka, however, I will settle for knowing why you abandoned her instead.” Alyria calmly states, her voice strained with her attempts to control her rage. Rei sighs and falls to the ground, his head bleeding slightly from the force of being slammed against a wall.

“I never abandoned her. I knew there wasn’t enough room at this house for all of my Pokémon, and despite her being my mate, that garden is where she’s lived for most of her life ever since she hatched from the egg I traded for my Dialga. I wanted her and her egg to be happy together, and I knew you would take care of her. She means the world to me, Alyria, and she has everything she needs there. I didn’t want to take her away from her home.” Rei whispers, tears gathering in his eyes. Alyria sighs as she watches him, knowing that either way somebody is going to lose.

“Rei, Seka is miserable. She thinks you left her and the egg. I brought it with me so it would get SOME experience. Seka is so upset I had to have her placed in a Sedation Ball so she could sleep. I’m leaving her and the egg here with you, it’s almost ready to hatch, since it’s glowing on and off. But you need to take care of them. Prove you’re worthy as a mate and a father.” Alyria snarls, handing the lavender ball with Seka in it over as well as the now brightly glowing egg.

Alyria motions to her team and all of them storm away and head back to the mansion. Luna places a hand on her mother’s shoulder as she climbs onto Thunder’s back along with Alyria. The Lucario hybrid looks at her daughter and for the first time since she began this journey, allows the many tears to fall from her eyes.

“What’s wrong, Mama?” Luna asks, suddenly worried about her mother. Alyria shakes her head, trying to gather herself to speak.

“I am just realizing how cruel humans can be. When I was younger, even believing I was human, I never mistreated any creature, human or Pokémon alike. Rei would yell or scream or even hit things and people when he was upset, but when I was, I would make sure nothing and nobody got hurt because of me. He mated Seka, calling it love. He built an elaborate wing of the mansion so she would be happy, gave her a child, but then he ran off to give me his house without even a thought for Seka. That isn’t love.” Alyria whispers, her eyes brimming with tears. Luna sighs and places a paw-like hand on her mother’s shoulder.

“Mama, Grandfather Rei may not have loved her, but he does care about her and their child. I could see it in his eye when you told him she was miserable. Look at us though, we’re part human. I love Judge, you love Dad, and Grandfather Anova certainly loved Grandmother Kaitlin from what you told me in the stories. Not all humans are bad. You of all should know that.” Luna whispers, her wisdom showing far beyond her years. Alyria smiles, before Thunder turns her head to her.

“She’s right Alyria, your mother died protecting you, Anova avenged her death. He protected you from ridicule by allowing Rei to raise you as his own. You are here because of human love.” The Raikou speaks softly, her fur sparking as she mentions the murder of Alyria’s mother. The Lucario hybrid pats the electric Legendary Dog on her flank as she begins her descent towards the mansion.

Alyria is greeted by Faero, Storm, Judge, and Wisdom looking at her before Thunder lands, their eyes cold as Faero steps forward.

“So, I take it you had him take our dear Seka back as his mate then? The egg too?” Faero questions as Alyria nods and moves forward, nuzzling Storm before sighing and releasing the rest of the female Pokémon, waiting for them to head back to their rooms as Luna follows her before heading into Judge’s room with him.

A/n: Well I hope all of you like this update. I had to edit this chapter extensively before posting it because I had far too much violence for my taste, and the later parts of it weren't going smoothly. I think I got it workable now. Anyway, I'm going to eventually add a few non-hetero pairings with some of the minor characters, but the next few chapters are going to focus more on Luna and Judge as a mated pair before I go back to Alyria. I'm also hoping to pair Faero up with one of the characters, but I'm not telling which one. ;) I also don't mean to beg here, but I do miss getting reviews.
