Secrets Revealed

Disclaimer: Nope... not the owner... honestly, would a coffee whore for Starbucks with not a penny to her name, own something as wonderful and successful as Bebop? Anyways, had I owned Bebop, this would not have been fanfic.

The Calm
Chapter 24: Secrets Revealed

He knew it would shock Vicious, finding out who Sith had been. He just wasn’t quite sure he should give him the document that he’d found in there. Afraid was more like it. Afraid of how he’d react, but he was always a masochist.

“There’s one more thing,” Spike sighed heavily.

Vicious raised an eyebrow. “And that would be?”

Spike pulled a small stack of papers from his back pocket and handed them to the cold eyed man before him. “This.”

Vicious took the papers, reading them over carefully. He recognized the handwriting as Amaya’s, then known as Eve, the neat, crisp cursive detailing different missions and observations on Sith. As he looked it over he also noticed his and Spike’s names mentioned, how they’d interact with her, Eve’s own suspicions of what Sith felt for them. This only caused his vision to tinge red slightly. Eve had known Sith’s past, had known it all, and yet had kept that information from him and Spike
“S
“She knew,” Vicious growled.

“She did. I went rifling through her stuff a little while ago, the stuff she left behind. She has files on us as well, everything from our pasts to our bank account numbers and statements. Hell, she even has our blood type written down there!”

Vicious’ eyes narrowed. “What do you mean, left behind?”

“Amaya’s gone, and I mean completely, as in not coming back.”

“She’s abandoned us?”

Spike shrugged. “Wouldn’t be the first time.”

“True. She has a tendancy to leave when she thinks we’re in danger, or if she feels as though she’ll be in danger.”

“Both,” a cold, deadpan voice said.

Vicious looked up from the envelope in his hand, Spike turned slightly, to see Sith standing in the doorway. “What do you mean?” Vicious asked.

“She thinks Julia will start something and will hurt us, and she believes that we’ll hate her.”

Spike groaned. “She told you?”

Sith shot him a glare that could freeze one’s blood, had she not looked seven months pregnant. Now, well, she just looked only slightly threatening. “You knew?”

Spike snorted. “Of course, I was in on it!”

“What are you two talking about?” Vicious asked.

“Amaya’s the traitor,” Sith stated.

“What? Are you kidding me?” Vicious growled low.

“Nope, she’s trying to destroy the Dragons,” Spike answered nonchalantly.

“I can’t believe this,” Vicious mumbled as he took his head in his hands.

“Believe it. We don’t have time to mope about this. She’s going to try to take Julia on alone, and Julia has James!” Sith snapped.

Spike’s eyes widened. “What do you need me to do?” he asked.

Sith smiled slightly, the action becoming slightly easier with time. “We have to track Amaya, wherever she goes, Julia will show up.” she ordered. “Amaya isn’t sane enough for this.”

Spike furrowed his brow. “Kaishi’s back?”

Sith seemed surprised. “How-?”

“I was locked in a basement with her for three weeks once after we got captured by some of the Black Wolves. We were tortured, Kaishi took over Eve, she then broke free and tore them, literally into bits. She scared the fuck out of me. Kaishi isn’t human, she’s…”

“Death,” Vicious murmured. “Kaishi is Japanese for mysterious death. I remember during a fire fight, you and Spike were separated from us, we both were wounded. Suddenly, her eyes were silver, not grey, she started laughing…. Her voice was so cold, so… demonic. She then ran forward and ripped out the throats of our opponents. I watched her as she licked the blood clean from her hands and turned to me with those eyes. They were filled with such bloodlust. Then, I remember, she spoke. Her voice was so, unnaturally cold and dead, worse than yours can be, Sith. It was like staring into the eyes of pure evil.”

“What’d she say?” Spike asked, curious.

“Death, pain and blood, these things are my sustenance. One day, I may taste yours, pray that it ends swiftly and justly.”

Spike shivered. “Creepy; and to think that, that… thing is her.”

“It’s not her, it’s something that resulted from her life. A mask that took on a mind of its own,” Sith stated.

Spike shrugged. “Either way, it’s creepy.”

“It has control of her now?” Vicious asked.

Sith shook her head. “I think it’s had control for a while now.”

Levii: Ooh... everyone knows Amaya\'s little secret now. And a little insight into what the hell Kaishi is. Don\'t worry, She\'s not staying. Kaishi isn\'t really a high ranking character in my mind. Understandable, ne? Oh well, Review and feed my whithered ego!
