Confusion
Quick Author's Note: Hello everyone, I had issues posting the last chapter. For some reason it only posted some of it. I fixed it so make sure you go back and read all of Chapter 25 before reading this Chapter.
-----------------------------------
Yamato awoke to the feeling of being pushed out of bed. As he felt himself being pushed off of the bed he panicked and quickly grabbed onto the nearest thing he could, so when he fell, he took his little brother with him. Both brothers groaned and tried to wake themselves up after their little fall from the bed. “What the hell happened?” Takeru asked sitting up.
“You pushed me out of bed.” Yamato groaned back.
“Then why am I out of bed?” Takeru asked.
“I was falling, I grabbed the closest thing I could.” Yamato explained.
“Just had to take me down with you, now didn’t you?” Takeru asked.
“Rather do it with someone than alone.” Yamato said.
They then heard the sound of a throat being cleared. They looked in the direction it came from and saw their father standing there with an inquisitive look upon his face. They then looked at each other, and they realized why their father was looking at them in such a way. All he could see was that Takeru was straddling Yamato. Both brothers turned red and stood up as quickly as they could.
“I was just going to tell you to show Takeru where the spare key is, and remind you to lock up when you leave but now I think I may have to babysit you two.” Hiroaki said teasingly.
Yamato tried to explain what happened “Well you see Dad, I fell out of bed.”
“I pushed him.” Takeru clarified.
“In his sleep.”
“Then he grabbed me trying to find a grip.”
“And so we both fell out of bed.”
Both brothers looked at their father. He just shook his head, rolled his eyes and said “kids”. Right after he turned around to walk off he turned back around, “I almost forgot. Your friends finally got tired of waiting for you last night Yamato so they went home. Hikari wants you to call her as soon as you can.” He then looked at his watch, “I’ve got to go boys, the milk in the fridge might still be good, and help yourselves to whatever you can find.” Hiroaki then walked away.
Yamato looked at his brother. Takeru’s school uniform that had been in throughout the school week and had just been slept in the night before was covered in wrinkles and had spots of dirt on it. “Go get cleaned up. I’ll see if I can cook anything for breakfast.”
While Takeru was taking a shower, Yamato quickly found out that there was nothing to make breakfast with, let alone much of anything edible to the human pallet. So Yamato went into the living room to wait until his brother was done with his shower. He didn’t have to wait long before he heard the shower turn off and the sounds of someone running down the hall. More minutes went past, leaving Yamato waiting patiently in the living room. He heard a door open and footsteps moving towards him. What he saw took his breath away. Takeru was dressed in a tight fitting long sleeve green shirt and white vest and some rather shape showing khaki pants. Takeru smiled at the way his brother’s mouth hung open a little. “Figured wearing my school uniform wouldn’t be that good of an idea. It needs washed.” Takeru then looked around. “Where’s breakfast.”
Yamato stared at his little brother a little bit longer before saying, “I think the mystery meat in the fridge ate it. And I don’t really have money to go out to eat with, so how about we go to my place and I can cook us something.”
Takeru’s smile grew, “Sounds fine to me.” And with that both brothers set out for Yamato’s apartment.
Yamato unlocked the apartment and with Takeru close behind went into the kitchen. Yamato began to cook breakfast, having Takeru grab him various items from the fridge. When Hikari walked in, it was one of those times. “Yamato! You’re home. Taichi and I got tired of waiting and left. So what happened? You two were in there a long time… you two didn’t, well you know….” Takeru stood up from his
search in the fridge, causing Hikari to stop. She began to blush, “Oh ummm…Takeru…Hi, I didn’t see you there.”
“I could tell.” Takeru said, handing his brother a couple food items. “And to answer your question, nothing happened. We just talked for a while until we got so tired we fell asleep.”
Not much later Taichi came into the kitchen, “Hikari, I thought I said not to make breakfast until….oh Yamato. You’re home. Have a little too much fun last nigh…HI TAKERU!”
Takeru turned to his brother, “Is everyone usually so interested in your sex life?”
Yamato gave him a little grin, “Not usually no.”
Breakfast was passed by Yamato and Takeru trying to convince Taichi and Hikari that nothing had happened the night before between them. Once breakfast was over and cleaned up, Taichi and Hikari left to ‘go shopping’, there by leaving the apartment free for Yamato and Takeru.
Yamato and Takeru then spent the next several hours talking, and joking and watching movies with one another. It was all a rather light hearted atmosphere where things just seemed right. That is until after one long kissing scene in a movie.
“Yamato can we talk?” Takeru asked.
Yamato paused the movie, “Sure Teeks, what’s on your mind?”
“About last night. I’m sorry.”
“What was there to be sorry for?” Yamato asked.
“It was a mistake. I didn’t mean to kiss you.” Takeru answered.
Yamato sat there, trying to hold himself together from the blow his brother had just dealt him.
“I’m sorry. I’m just a little confused right now.” Takeru said softly.
Yamato felt water forming in the corners of his eyes. He had once again let his heart open up just to have to smashed and broken all over again.
Takeru saw the reaction his brother was having, “Oh shit.” He said softly to himself, he then placed a hand on his brother’s arm to try and comfort him. “I am so sorry Yamato. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Yamato felt something in him break when his brother touched him. It was like the damn that held his emotions and desires had broke and now there was nothing
restraining him. And before he knew it, his lips were against Takeru’s. Takeru didn’t do anything for a few seconds out of shock and confusion. However once he realized what was happening, he then pushed his brother away. It was then that Yamato realized what just happened. His eyes enlarged in the shock of what had happened. He looked at the stunned look his brother held. Yamato then bolted upright and ran down the hall into his room. Leaving Takeru sitting there alone, trying to figure out what just happened.
{Way to go you fucking dumbass. Now there’s no way that Takeru will want anything to do with us ever again.} Yamato thought to himself as he chucked one of his pillows across the room. A couple hours went by, and Yamato’s attitude didn’t improve. He was still angry over what he had done, and devastated by the effect that it had.
But things changed when a knock came from the door. “It’s Takeru, can I come in.”
Yamato looked around the room, it was slightly trashed but not bad. So he silently walked and opened the door letting his little brother into the room. The two brothers stood in front of each other in the middle of the room.
“Listen Yamato about earlier.”
Yamato began to apologize. “I’m sorry Takeru, I didn’t mean to. I don’t know what
overcame me…”
“I’m still so confused.” Takeru said, As Yamato opened his mouth to say something Takeru continued. “I’m confused about what we have. I know about what we used to have but things are different now. I’m different. I barely know you, Hell I barely know myself. So I’m just a little confused about who we are and what we have together.”
“We can have whatever you want us to have.” Yamato answered.
“How can you say that? Up until a couple weeks ago we had only talked once. I’m not the Takeru you fell in love with, I’m different. So how do you even know you still love me?”
Yamato ran a hand up the side of Takeru’s face and gently said, “You’re not as different as you think.”
Takeru began to blush upon feeling the warmth of his brother’s hand on his face.
He found his breaths got shallower his heart rate quickened and his focus was now on Yamato’s lips.
Yamato continued to rub his fingers on Takeru’s cheek, “And besides we’re still brothers, so I’d love you no matter what. And I believe that somewhere inside of you, you love me too.”
Yamato was making sense. Part of Takeru did love Yamato simply for being his big brother. But part of him didn’t think that was enough, part of him wanted more. And at that point in time, it was the loudest part in Takeru.
Takeru surprised Yamato as he stepped closer and wrapped his arms around him and pulled him close into a kiss. Their lips met each other, and as warmth was shared between them, so was friction. Their lips were moving over each other, spreading the warm friction over one another. Yamato’s tongue crept out of his mouth and began to slide in against Takeru’s lips and teeth. Takeru suddenly stopped the kiss, unwrapped his arms around brother and took a step back. Yamato’s heart sank, he couldn’t control himself again and had gone too far.
The words that came out of Takeru’s mouth weren’t what Yamato expected, “Wasn’t life rough for us? I mean, not that many people in this world like the idea of two men together, even fewer when they’re brothers. What did our friends think about it? I know mom didn’t approve, but what about Dad? How did he feel about us?”
Yamato couldn’t help but give a little smile in relief that it wasn’t because of him the last kiss broke far too early. “Of course life was a little rougher than normal, and we expected that going in. And sure, not all of our friends liked the idea of us being together but they either came around like true friends, or they left. And with Dad, sure at first he wasn’t thrilled about his two sons being romantically involved with each other, but he got over it and still loves us both.”
“You make it all sound so much better than I know it must have been. We lost friends, family, and some sense of security along with many other things. So how could it have all been worth it?” Takeru asked.
Yamato stepped closer to his little brother, took his hands in his, and gently kissed him on the lips. “You tell me.”
Takeru stared into his brother’s eyes. He could see all the love that filled those icy blue eyes. Takeru felt as the warmth inside of him grew. He held onto his brother’s hands, “We really did love each other didn’t we?”
Yamato gave his brother a large smile, “We sure did.”
Takeru’s lips met his older brother’s again. After a few moments of their lips grasping one another Yamato was pleasantly surprised when he felt something trying to gain entry into his mouth. Yamato opened his mouth just a crack, allowing Takeru’s tongue to force its way in. Takeru’s tongue quickly pried its way in and started to freely roam around the mouth it had visited so many times. Every time Yamato would start to combat the invader, Takeru’s tongue would quickly make its power be known before going back to exploring.
Not willing to go down without a fight Yamato began to suck on Takeru’s tongue. Gently at first, but as Takeru’s assault continued, Yamato found he had to increase the pressure. Yamato only paused a moment when he heard a sound that he hadn’t heard in a long time. A sound that used to drive him wild. A sound that still did. The sound of his lover moaning.
Takeru’s tongue quickly retreated back into its own mouth, and the kiss broke. Leaving both brothers panting slightly. That is when words left Yamato’s mouth before he even knew they were coming out, “I love you.”
Takeru stood there not knowing what to say. Sure he knew he loved the man standing in front of him at one time. He knew he felt the fire burning in his chest, for his brother. He knew, from just that last kiss how his brother could make him feel. What he didn’t know, was if he could say he loved him back.
Yamato looked at his brother, and just looking into those warm blue eyes told him everything he needed to know. So he said gently, “It’s okay Takeru. I understand.” He then lightly kissed his brother’s forehead. “Now how about I make us a stir fry?”
Takeru’s eyes lit up at the thought of Yamato’s cooking, as well as an escape from the awkward situation that had arisen. “Sounds great.”
After their dinner was finished and the kitchen tidied, Takeru and Yamato found themselves curled up under a blanket on the couch. As they laid on the couch facing one another, Yamato found that he couldn’t keep the smile from his face. Not that he was really trying of course. He found himself with his arms around his brother, holding him closer and tighter with every passing minute, as if the next minute that would come would whisk Takeru away from him. Takeru must have had similar feelings as his grip on around his brother too increased.
They were like that, on the couch holding onto one another, that Hikari found the blonde brothers. And it they were still like that as she silently pulled the camera out of her pocket and turned it on. The brother’s were totally oblivious about the person watching them until they saw a bright flash of light. It was at that moment when the two blondes looked away from each other for the first time in several minutes and looked at the girl standing above them. Instead of being angry like Hikari was expecting she couldn’t believe her ears when she heard laughing instead of shouting.
Taichi soon entered the room looking very worn out and carrying several boxes and bags. A smile grew on Taichi’s face, “Looks like you two were having fun.”
Takeru and Yamato just laughed louder.
After the laughter died down. Hikari and Taichi talked about their day, that even though Hikari had been shopping all day she still didn’t have all her gifts bought for Christmas yet. Causing Taichi to groan at the thought of having to go shopping another day. They talked long into the night, later than any of them had planned.
“I don’t think you should be trying to get back to Dad’s, this time of night.” Yamato said to his brother.
“Somehow I knew you were going to say something like that.” Taichi said with a large yawn.
Yamato just shot his roommate a glare before turning back to his brother, “So you’re welcome to stay here.”
“Okay. Where should I sleep? The couch fine?” Takeru asked.
“Actually, that’s my bed. I’d appreciate it if you two would get off it, so I can go to sleep sometime soon.” Hikari said.
“Well, I’d certainly say you need your sleep miss crabby-pants.” Yamato said.
Hikari just stuck her tongue out at the teasing blonde.
“You can have my bed.” Yamato said.
“Knew that was coming too.” Taichi quipped.
Yamato threw another glare at the brunette, causing him to quickly stand up. “Oh look at the time, I should have been asleep hours ago. Goodnight all.” Taichi then quickly made his way to his room.
Not long after Taichi’s retreat, Yamato and Takeru retreated to their room as well. As Yamato began to pull some spare bedding from his closet, his brother watched a strange look on his face. Eventually he expressed his confusion. “ Why is it that we shared such a small bed last night, but when we have a large bed you choose the floor?”
Yamato didn’t answer, because he couldn’t. He didn’t have an answer. So he did one of the things he did best, he changed the subject. “I’m off to take a shower. You still have clothes in the top drawer of the dresser if you want to change into something to sleep in.” He then grabbed some pajamas and left the bed room.
As Yamato showered Takeru went through the dresser. He saw several shorts and shirts among other bits of clothing, and a few hats. Takeru then picked out a pair of boxers and t-shirt to sleep in. It wasn’t much longer that Yamato came into bed room wearing a slightly baggy pair of shorts as well as a loose fitting long sleeve shirt. Takeru raised an eyebrow at his dress choice, “Shorts but yet a long sleeve shirt, no that’s not suspicious at all.”
Yamato just gave a light humph, “Just go take a shower.”
After Takeru left, Yamato found himself crawling into bed. He laid there quietly and began looking at a magazine. After a few minutes he heard the bedroom door open and when he glanced up he saw a wet, mostly nude, flushed Takeru standing at the foot of the bed. Yamato’s eyes were glued on Takeru’s wet body, he watched as water slid down Takeru's smooth skin, and the way small bouts of steam floated off of his body. He checked out his brother from his feet up. On his way up to his head he saw that his brother was slightly aroused, and when he got to his up face that he noticed something was bugging him. Yamato tossed the magazine aside and sat up, “Takeru, is everything alright?”
“We had sex in the shower didn’t we?” Takeru asked quickly.
Yamato blinked, “What?”
“Just answer me. Did we ever have sex in the shower?” Takeru repeated.
Yamato found himself slightly blushing as memories came to him. “A few times. Why do you ask?”
And so Takeru explained to his brother about the strange happenings that he had experienced since he first saw the picture of them kissing. About the way his lips had tingled as well as other parts of his body. Yamato listened and nodded his head. When Takeru was done explaining Yamato gave him a smile. “I’d say that’s good news Takeru. I think that means your body remembers some things, and so it’s just a matter of time before your brain does too.”
“It may be good news, but it’s still creepy. It’s hard to take a shower when ghostly memories are trying to screw you into a wall.” Said Takeru.
Yamato couldn’t help but chuckle at his brother’s comment. When Takeru gave him a nasty look however he quickly stopped. “So coming to bed, or going to go finish your shower?”
“Just let me just dry off and I’ll be right back.” Takeru said. He then turned and left and shortly thereafter returned.
As Takeru climbed into the large bed next to his brother he noticed that Yamato was still wearing the long sleeve shirt. Takeru laid in the bed facing his brother, “Yamato, care telling me what you’re hiding behind your shirt?”
Yamato looked away from his brother, “Some other time Takeru.”
Takeru gave his brother a very annoyed look. “I just told you how I’m practically rapped by my own memories and now you won’t even tell me what secret you’re hiding.”
Yamato just rolled over away from his brother, “We’ll talk about it later. But right now I’m going to bed.”
Takeru knew his brother wasn’t just going to cave in and tell him, not if he hadn’t already and still was trying to hide it. So he waited until Yamato fell asleep and did the next best thing. He waited until Yamato was soundly asleep, and rolled him onto his back. Takeru then very slowly and cautiously began to roll one of the sleeves of Yamato’s shirt up. With the aid from the bright full moon shining in through the window Takeru was able to see lines running up his brother’s arms. He then gently ran a finger along one of the lines and let out a quiet gasp, as he realized what those lines were. He looked up at his brother’s face just in time to see him wince. He followed the line further up his brother’s arm until it stopped half way up it. Takeru had all the information he needed. He slowly rolled his brother’s sleeve back down the arm it was supposed to be hiding.
Takeru laid in bed looking at his brother. His heart ached and tugged at the thought that his brother had tried to kill himself. He soon found himself crying as he realized that there could have been a chance that the warm loving man laying next to him could have not been there at all. The man that had made him feel so wonderful over the past 24 hours. He never realized how painful loosing someone he really cared about could be, even though it was simply a ‘What If’. After a few hours of worrying and wondering Takeru was over come by sleep.
\\\\\\\\\
Takeru began to panic, there had been a large explosion in front of him, causing him to fly backwards into a wall of rock. Not far away his brother laid there slightly dazed but crawling towards him. He called out to him. Just as the large demonic looking creature, that had caused the explosion, emerged from the nearby trees.
Takeru could barely hear his brother tell him to run, over the laughter from the large devil. But it was too late, as he looked around for a place to run he saw the large wrapped hand of the devil reaching for him. He was too scared to move. Suddenly he saw movement out of the corner of his eye, a small creature flew up to the hand, shooting something out of its mouth. The hand didn’t stop, it didn’t even slow down. The hand wrapped itself around them both, Takeru knew it was the end.
Suddenly a warm blinding light emerged from the dark coldness of the monster’s grasp. As he fell back to the ground he saw what appeared to be an angel emerge from the light. Takeru felt a warmth inside of him grow as hope came flooding back into him that everything would alright.
The angel and the devil exchanged words. Words that Takeru couldn’t understand, he was too mesmerized by this angel that had appeared to save him. As the angel raised his staff, several beams of light emerged from the surrounding area. Takeru looked and one of those beams lead back to him and another one from his brother. Takeru didn’t know what was going on, but the hope inside of him continued to grow. Takeru found himself crying out for the angel.
As the angel twirled his staff around, preparing for the fight, a green streak emerged from the devils chest and flew towards the angel. Once the green streak got close to the angel a golden light emerged from the point of its staff, causing the green streak to recoil wildly back from whence it came. The devil cursed the angel in rage. The angel still calmly flew above Takeru, cementing the idea in Takeru that it was his guardian angel.
With more golden light, the staff the angel was holding disappeared, and his hand started to glow. The devil started move closer, and raised its large monstrous hands. Takeru cried out a warning to the angel. After all just one of the devils hands were the size of his guardian angel. The angel calmly looked down at him and assured him that he would smite the monster. Just as the devil’s hands were about to smash the angel, a beam of golden light blasted from the angel’s hand and through the chest of the devil. Causing a large burst of light to eliminate everything as far as Takeru could see.
Takeru watched as parts of the devil started to break apart and fly away. Takeru was thrilled, his angel had protected him as well as his brother, they were all safe. But that is when the devil spoke. He spoke about how the angel had used up all of its power. And how that the forces of darkness were still abound and even more powerful than he was. And with a final taunt about the insignificance of the victory, the rest of the devil disappeared.
And that is when Takeru noticed something. The devil wasn’t the only one disappearing. His guardian angel, which was flying above him, was breaking apart as well. The angel really did use up all the power he had. Takeru’s heart dropped at the sight, and his eyes instantly began to water. He found himself crying out to the angel. The angel looked down at him, still as calm as ever. The angel smiled down at him, and said something about coming back. Takeru was too distraught to listen, as the last bits of the angel’s wings and head disappeared.
Takeru felt devastated and broken, as if all the hope that was in him had just left at once. Takeru began to sob violently as a few feathers floated down from the sky and landed in front of him. Those were all he had to remember the angel that had given its life to protect him. An angel that had now left a large hole in his heart.

Author's Note: To begin with, thank you for reading Chapter 26. Hope it was to everyone's liking. Sorry once again for what happened with the last chapter. I didn't even know it only posted part of it until a few days ago. Couldn't figure out why everyone was calling it short when it was the longest chapter yet.So once again so for any troubles that were caused.
Now onto Chapter 26. I thought about only putting in part of Takeru's dream and save the rest for the next chapter. But I decided not to cut it up. Don't think there's much else to say besides. Nothing quite like seeing a wet sexy Takeru twice in a day to brighten one's day.
As always, please Rate & Review. As you can now tell. I really do read them, and they really do help. So let's all give Kiba and Sykes a big THANK YOU! "THANK YOU!!!!"
