No..it can't be....

A/N- Sorry about leaving you guys hanging over the holiday!! Because of that you get a double update!! Yay!! Hope everyone who celebrates it had a good Thanksgiving and ate lots of yummy food!! :) Here it is...next chapter!!

“I don’t drink.” The redhead’s rich voice intoned, before he retreated to his room, the door thudding closed behind him. Yohji was left at the bottom of the stairs, mouth ajar, gazing in confusion at the door the Weiss team leader had just shut.

He gathered himself together again quickly and scowled at the stairs before turning and grabbing his keys. “Bloody fucking hell.” He slammed the door hard behind him.

Omi and Ken had been listening on the other side of Omi’s door to the uncharacteristic exchange. When they heard Yohji slam the door, Omi looked the slight inch up at Ken, blue eyes wide.

“What was that about? Shouldn’t they have fought? Aya sounded like he wanted to..” the younger boy broke off. Ken was laughing silently to himself. The blonde raised an eyebrow. Ken cracked a chocolate eye open and, unable to hold back any longer, leaned against the door and guffawed loudly. At the sound of pounding coming through the wall, he stopped guiltily. Looking at Omi, he grinned.

“I think we may have a little situation on our hands, Omi.” He ruffled boyishly short blonde locks playfully. Ken approvingly noted that Omi could almost look him in the eye now. Indeed, it was only months until the blonde’s eighteenth birthday. As Omi arched one golden eyebrow, Ken broke out into a laugh again.

“Did you learn that from Aya?” Omi opened his mouth, then closed it again and shrugged.

“I guess…I kinda just discovered I could do it one day. Now it happens all the time. But what do you mean, ‘a little situation’?” Omi asked curiously. He had heard his friend whisper something when Yohji had invited Aya out with him, but the older boy had simply shaken his head and held a finger to his lips when Omi nudged him about it. He wished Ken would stop treating him like such a little kid, he was almost eighteen now.

Ken looked at Omi thoughtfully. He didn’t doubt the younger boy would understand the implications of the situation, but he wasn’t sure he could trust him to keep quiet. Oh, Omi wouldn’t outright bring the subject up, the younger Weiss was much more subtle than that. A matchmaker was not what Yohji and Aya needed.

“Ken-kun?” Omi said after moment, reaching up and knocking lightly against the brunette’s forehead. Ken had been looking at him weirdly, appraisingly even. “Anyone home?” The brown-eyed boy caught his wrist and smiled. Omi smiled back, his wrist tingling where the older boy held it. For the thousandth time the thought ran through his head; ‘if only Ken would stop seeing me as a younger brother, I might have a chance with him’.

“Omi, under no circumstance can you repeat this, understand? This is pure speculation, with very little evidence to back it up.” The ex-soccer player grinned. “But I do have evidence.” Omi raised an eyebrow again, pulling his wrist from Ken’s grasp.

“Hai, Ken-kun…I won’t repeat it. Is it that bad?” Ken mulled over his answer for a minute.

“It’s not…bad…but it has the potential to get…volatile. Especially if Aya is provoked.” Omi’s eyes widened and he nodded. Ken settled on the floor, getting comfortable, and Omi moved a pile of extension cords, kicking aside an old hard-drive, before settling down across from him, leaning his chin in his hands and watching attentively. Ken had to smile at the eagerness in his friend’s cornflower eyes.

“I think that Yohji may have fallen for someone. And—“ he was interrupted by a loud snort from Omi.

“Oh sure, Ken-kun. I can just imagine…Yohji-kun, the great Playboy himself, is mooning around after some woman he met in some club and can never have because he’s Weiss. Ken-kun, Yohji-kun would never allow himself to—” he stopped as a chocolate replica of an amethyst glare was fixed on him.

“As I was saying…I think Yohji may have fallen for someone, and it’s not what or who you’d expect.” Ken leaned in closer to the younger assassin, breathing in Omi’s soft scent as he did so. “Yohji doesn’t limit himself to women, Omi.”

The younger blonde sat back in shock. He had always thought he was the only one on the team who liked boys. He had his suspicions about Ken, because he’d never seen him date a girl. Aya didn’t show any interest in anything but missions, and Omi was privately starting to agree with Yohji that the redhead was asexual. Pity, that. But Yohji?! The Yohji that primped for almost an hour before disappearing all night to flirt with women?!

“You’ve only assumed it was women because that’s all Yohji talks about.” Omi’s head jerked up to find Ken smiling at him. “I’ve had my suspicions for quite a while now that our Playboy has fallen hard for a man. A dangerous, beautiful man whom he knew he could never have.” Omi looked at him, confused, and Ken sighed. “A redhead.”

Omi recoiled in horror. “Schuldich?! Is that why he tried to kill him? How could Yohji-kun let himself…he knows better…” he trailed off as Ken shook his head slowly. As the truth dawned on Omi, his eyes grew very wide. “No…you can’t mean,” his voice dropped to a whisper, “Aya?” Ken nodded triumphantly and Omi leaned back on his hands. “You think Yohji’s in love with Aya?”
