Ch.2: New Job

Robyn burst into the flower shop, \"Sorry I am late...\" She gasped out, \"What do you need me to do?\" She looked at Ken then at Yoji.

Yoji smiled, \"Just water the plants for now,\" He handed her a watering can.

\"Oh, my sister is coming by later is that ok?\" Robyn said with a smile.

\"Uh... Sure,\" Ken answered.

Robyn set to work on watering all the plants and such. After about 3 or 4 hours the bell on the door rang signifying someone was coming in. \"I\'m here Robyn,\" came the voice of Kittie.

Omi looked over and smiled. \"Hello,\" He looked at Robyn\'s sister. \"I am Omi.\"

\"I am Kathrine, but call me Kittie, cause if you call me Kathrine, I will kill you,\" Kittie smiled then winked then walked over to Robyn, \"Whatcha doin\'?\"

Robyn looked up dirt smudging her cheeks, \"What does it look like?\"

\"Making a mess that\'s what.\" Kittie lifted an eyebrow. She looked over at Omi, \"Didn\'t you guys show her how to do this?\"

Omi just looked at her, \"What are you talking about?\"

\"Well, she is overwatering the plants,\" Kittie said mater-of-factly.

\"What?! It shouldn\'t be that difficult,\" Omi sighed, \"Yoji get out here,\" Omi waited for Yoji to appeared at the front desk, \"The girl you and Ken hired is drowning the plants.\"

Yoji walked over to Robyn and Kittie, \"Here let me help,\" He took the watering can from Robyn and poured a little on each of the roses, \"There, now let me help you repack the dirt.\" He looked at Kittie, \"You go help Omi behind the desk.\"

\"I don\'t work here,\" Kittie lifted an eyebrow, \"I am Robyn\'s little sister Kittie.\"

\"I know you don\'t work here, just help him kay?\" Yoji took Robyn\'s hands and lowered them into the moist soil. \"Like this,\" He moved her hands with his, he stood directly behind her looking over her shoulder. His breath tickled her ear. Robyn liked the closeness of Yoji. She started moving her hands in rhythm with his. \"That\'s right you got it.\"

Robyn felt a blush enter her cheeks. Concentrate Robyn... do your job. Oh but he is so cute. She looked at him from the corner of her eye, her breathing became irregular. God I hope he doesn\'t notice...

Kittie stepped behind the counter and patted Omi on the back, \"I am suposed to help you out... So tell me what to do.\"

Omi lifted an eyebrow, \"I don\'t know what exactly you can do... oh you can run the second cash register.\"

Kittie rolled her eyes, \"Oh... fun...\"

Omi looked at her, \"What don\'t you want to?\"

\"Nah, forget it just show me how bud.\" Kittie grabbed an apron and looked at Omi.

\"You don\'t need the apron.\" Omi said softly.

\"Leave me alone, If I am going to be behind the counter I am going to look the part.\" Kittie winked then watched as Omi showed her how to work the register. \"You expect me to know all of that in that little amount of time?!\"

\"It\'s easier than it looks believe me, I had the same opinion as you.\" Omi smiled and ruffled her hair.

\"Hey, hey, hey, don\'t touch the hair dude,\" Kittie batted Omi\'s hand away. She quickly ran her fingers through her hair and then cleared her throat as a customer came to the counter, \"Is that all?\" She asked with a smile. She rung the price up, \"1,000 yen. Thank you.\" She put the money in the drawer and smiled smugly at Omi, \"I guess you were right.\"

\"Ok can you handle that on your own? I am going to help Aya out front with the on sale items,\" Omi left the counter and walked out side.

Kittie lifted an eyebrow, \"Ok I can do this...\" She sat down on the stool behind the counter picked up a magazine and started to read. The store wasn\'t busy until about 3:30 PM when a rush of girls came to the shop.

\"Oh, no girls are starting to work here!\" One girl said.

\"They are pretty too!\" Another said.

\"They are going to distract the cute boys!\" yet another said.

\"Ladies, ladies, c\'mon now,\" Yoji started to say.

\"Oh my god it\'s Yoji, he is talking to us!\" Some girls said in unison.

Kittie looked at all the girls, \"Good god girls get over yourselfs!\" She stood up. \"Are you buying anything? If not then you are loitering and that is against the law!\" She pointed to a \'No loitering\' sign.

The girls slowly left the store. Ken, Omi, Yoji, and Aya looked at Kittie, \"Good job, would you also like a job here?\" Omi asked with a smile.

\"Do I get my own apron?\" Kittie smiled.

\"Of coarse,\" Yoji replied handing her an apron.

\"Then you got yourself another employee.\" Kittie took the apron and took Omi\'s apron off of herself then put the apron Yoji gave her on.

Robyn came out of the backroom with her face cleaned off and her apron washed. She looked at her sister who was wearing her own apron, \"You just get hired?\"

\"Yes ma\'am I did,\" Kittie smiled.

Yoji looked at Robyn and smiled. She looked cute no matter how he saw her, the first time he saw her she looked a little scruffy, then she had dirt smeared on her face, now she was clean hair put back nicely in anime buns, a little lip gloss shone off of her full lips and wearing flared hip hugger jeans and a red tank top that hugged her body perfectly. He watched as she took a sip from her soda and smiled, \"So... how did you like your first day?\"

Robyn looked at him, \"Well it is a little different from what I thought it would be but you helped me out and made it alot easier, Thanks.\" She smiled. She turned toward Kittie. \"Ready to go home? We still have alot of packing to do.\"

\"We can help,\" Ken said, \"Aya can watch over the store while Yoji, Omi and I help you out.\"

\"That would be great thanks.\" Robyn smiled and looked at her sister again, \"C\'mon Kittie.\"
